I don’t know how but every purchase I made bc your recommendation, I freaking love them. Most importantly, I used to buy lots of lip products and keep buying, but ever since watching your review, I come to learn how to understand the formula and really feel them on lips. Now I buy less but I love what I bought much more

Wow, I’m so glad you said something about the Ami Cole lip gloss, I just went to check mine and it has some sort of green color on the bottom and smells like it’s going off. Frustratingly, I’ve only used it about 4 times since I purchased it in the spring Sephora sale so that was a huge waste of $20. Thanks for looking into it for us 👍🏻
Welp Kait, you did it again lol. This video went straight into the favorites for when I need to go back to my list of things to try. I love the fact we both only use the Thrivecausmetics mascara! Literally been using it for 7 years!! The only mascara in my collection. I'm lazy with taking mascara off and I have really long lashes so I like the fact it activates and comes off with warm water so none of my lashes come out! The brown one from thrive is super nice as well however, it's really hard to tell the difference between the black and brown one.😊
I got the Kulfi blushes on your recommendation, I can't believe no one talks about them! FWIW, "nazar" is pronounced "nuh-zuhr" emphasis on the "na". It means "to see".

Hi Kait! Do you think the bronzer works well with neutral / cool tones skin color? I just bought the Gucci bronzer in fair but feel it’s too yellow ish toned if that makes sense. I know you mentioned in the past that you also have cool tone skin. Thanks so much! I’m on my bronzer journey
I’m shipping them my glosses so they can run tests and investigate the issue further. They told me their testing results are confidential but they are confident no mold can grow in the glosses. Based on their emails, I don’t think they did adequate testing, so I told them it was concerning that they’re confidently telling people the product is safe when the glosses are smelling so sour. Even if the discoloration is unmixed pigment, it doesn’t account for the smell. I’m disappointed but I will follow up after they’ve looked into the smell.
@@StateofKait thank you so much! Mine has that green line or unmixed pigment because I have the brown color cannot tell buuut mine doesn’t smell bad at all like it smells like vanilla in the lid and everything but I’m concern and thank you for your research!
It was fun to see which brands had the most repeats. L’Oréal emerged a drugstore brand fave. I own and love many of these. The Romand tints that Naturium balms are my favorite. Those are by far the products in my collection that I own the most shades of. I usually never own more than 1-2 shades of any specific formula, but those are the exception.
I also adore the ami cole glosses. I also had to throw away one because of the weird specs (mold?) but I still have one that I’m trying to get as much use out of while I can.
Uh oh I just peeled off the black stickers on my amicole bliss and excellence and they most definitely have a greenish growth (mold) on the bottom. Wtf. This is also one of my most favorite glosses 😢
Ok the brand responded to my Dm with pics and confirmed that they did test for mold prior to be ok to be sold and that the formula is water free thus not providing conditions for mold growth. And it is unmixed pigment. They also offered to send a prepaid label to check the smell and replace the glosses out of an abundance of caution, which I appreciate. I wanted to follow up here for anyone else worried.
Thanks again for such a comprehensive vid. As to the Ami Cole, I did notice unmixed pigment in the brown shade. I also noticed a slight vinegary aroma at the cap (I hadn’t noticed it before you mentioned it). When I swatched it on my hand, however, it smelled the same as ever. Once on my lips it was similarly unchanged. While I did purchase the product as soon as it was initially stocked at Sephora (more than 8 months ago?), I agree it seems too soon for the product to achieve any instability. OTOH, I value any product’s commitment to a more “natural” approach and wouldn’t fault them for the unmixed pigment (after all, it’s easy to stir it back in). I’m looking forward to hearing more about it. Thanks for your legwork on our behalf!
Love this video! Also, I love Vieve and their matte eye wands. I have literally every matte color! Camel is my fav and the only one I’ve gone all the way through. If you’re looking for a more neutral, darker brown, I recommend coffee over hazelnut. Hazelnut is beautiful but has a red undertone and is more of a purpley-red brown. Coffee was the neutral answer to that color value. Just a thought!

On a whim when making a K Beauty order I tried the Laka Bonding Glow lipstick in Harry, simply because the component really appealed to me. I have to say, I enjoy it even more than the Glasting balms! It's more buttery than sticky and is more solid in the tube. You might enjoy it too!

Yeah no one has had issues with the clear one so that would indicate unmixed pigment is the issue, but it doesn’t account for the fuzzy green stuff at the bottom, nor the sour smell, so I’m cautious

I've been contemplating getting that Em cosmetics heavens glow blush in Venetian Rose for a long time. But I just feel like its way too expensive for a blush. Add on to that the shipping costs because no one carries the brand. My question is, do you think Venetian Rose has that plum/mauvy undertone that you felt was missing in Mood Exposure from Hourglass? I compare the two because they both have that sheen.
It has a tiny bit of that plummy color but it mostly warms up on the skin to a gorgeous muted pink. I haven’t found the perfect mauve powder blush yet! But venetian rose is my perfect rose shade.
I'm curious if you've tried the Rose Inc Cream blushes. I'm a little tempted myself to get one because the formula seems very close to the Honest Beauty cream Blushes and those do last on me.
They followed up, said they can’t share their results but they didn’t do PET testing. They did a much less reliable test and then they told me it’s safe to use. VERY disappointed.
Have you ever tried Auric’s Glow Lust? It’s a beautiful, blurring, glowing base product! You can use it was a primer, mix it with other foundations to add a glow or to highlight! So versatile! It’s also a small business, and I love supporting small brands
