the MOB cream shadows do crease sadly unless you set with a similar color powder eyeshadow. I love their powder shadow and glitter balm formulas though!
i recently got diagnosed with POTS. i was briefly looked at for EDS but did not feel like they did enough by any means. ive had hypermobility since i was a little kid(around first grade), i was always in different braces and casts just to be able to not be in incredible amounts of pain. i always thought things i was experiencing was totally normal and just what people go through. turns out, its not. i got diagnosed by my neurologist who also believes that i potentially could have some other autoimmune diseases and were going to do some testing for. like i said before i was looked at for EDS as i do meet criteria for hypermobility etc, but the doctor i saw definitely did not check properly. i was in and out within 20 minutes. i'm going to find another doctor to look into EDS.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. As others have said...are you me?? I am on that balance point between abled and disabled. It has been heartbreaking to know that I cannot do geology/paleontology fieldwork anymore, much less was I able to do so when I was younger. I have to plan my time with travel with off days and it is so frustrating. I feel like an old person at times. I have struggled with fatigue, joint pain, gerd/IBS and all kinds of physical issues my whole life too, also in my late thirties. My GP diagnosed me with EDS/HSD last year and I cried. I knew I was a zebra. I just denied it due to years of emotional abuse/unhealthy internal relations. I push myself to be normal and then my body exacts revenge. Past partners just didn't get it and thought of me as a lazy entitled princess. I hope they read this and know just how much of an arse they were. Anyway. I hope I can find a loving partner like you have, and again I thank you deeply for sharing your story. ❤ 🦓
I have never, ever, ever understood why so many people feel so bad about themselves due to Social Media. I actually want my friends to be doing well and having great lives so seeing that makes me happy. I’m not comparing myself to others. I know what my struggles are and everyone else has struggles too. Their Social Media “real life” is just about as real as my Social Media real life. When I take selfies I take a lot of them and choose the best ones just like everybody else does. Stop letting Social Media get you down.
You're lucky to have the confidence to be so ambivalent, but a lot of people struggle with their mental health - especially young people. Your comment is like telling people with depression to just stop being depressed. It's not that simple for many people, I would suggest having some empathy.
@@StateofKait I understand that and I would never say this to someone who is struggling. I just don't understand it myself which is why I said what I said. But I do realize a lot of people do struggle with self esteem and need our empathy. I would never be unkind to someone like this.
I totally agree! The shimmery ones are absolutely useless! They stay on for about an hour if you're lucky, even over an eyeshadow primer. So disappointing because the colours are beautiful!
Oooh also going to recommend applying a thin layer of Laneige lip mask on your cuticles over night with a brush then put cotton gloves on when they get ragged. Miraculous.
Going to recommend the Thank You Farmer I’m From Rice Gel Cream. It’s Gel & Cream in the same pot. (I always use about 50/50, but in theory you can adjust for use.) There is nothing like it for providing satin finish with the most amazing glow from within. (Leaves CT for dead.) I’m 52 with dry, sensitive skin and this is now on repeat buy - people have been asking what I’ve been using ever since I started.
Hey Kait! I wanted to leave a comment and say that I love your videos. I have extremely senisitive skin, and while I wish you didn't have to deal with EDS, your makeup and skincare recommendations are really helpful for me. I also suffer but pretty crippling anxiety, just watching your videos is a pleasure when I'm trying to calm down. I love the lack of 2-second cuts and childish sound effects - those things definitely have a time and a place, but I really appreciate a life style channel without them.
As a fellow lip balm addict, here's my ratings of the products I have from the video: 1. Romand Glasting Melting Balm - 10/10 Love this product so much! So glossy and pretty 2. WAKEMAKE - Dewy Gel Glaze Stick - 7/10 - Quite good but can get milky (caught in lip lines) which I dislike. Worse than Romand. 3. Em Cosmetics Lip Cushions - 10/10 - Love these so much! Great texture and moisturization and love how they make my lips look. And shade selection is awesome.
I just got diagnosed with Heds and disautonomia and only got diagnosed because I nearly fainted in school and during a concert had a knee dislocate. This video is very good with explanations, and being relatable for me. ❤

Ulta's app and site are a struggle.. I can order from them but favorites and "save for later" never work, and a bunch of products arrive ruined or used... also, the app crushes frequently, and the site kicks me out a few times before I finish an order.. I want to shop there more but I prefer Sephora and brand sites to Ulta... Ulta really need to rethink this..
Sometimes that super dewy look is not optional. I have an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's syndrome. My body attacks glands in my body that produce moisture. It is systemic but shows up in the eyes, mouth and often the skin first. This means that my skin is far beyond what would normally be called dry skin. I no longer create the natural oils that get secreted onto our faces that protects the tender facial skin. None. Zero. Zip. As a result, people with this disease go to great lengths to keep their skin moisturized. I use a mix of lanolin oil and shea butter. This gives me a very shiny look but I don't care because it's better than the intense burning, itching and tearing of my skin that happens when I don't super moisturize. Venus Williams and Halsey have Sjogren's as well and they also have this super shine thing going on in photos and video. The thing is this: Sjogren's is vastly under diagnosed. People may be defaulting to this "look" because it just feels better. If I try to wear makeup w/o the extreme moisturizing, my face is flaky, dull and the makeup looks extremely cakey. I'm 55 so the makeup really settles into every little line and wrinkle. So, yeah, I get it where you're coming from. But it isn't that simple. Knowledge is power and creates empathy without judgment. ❤❤

I don’t have the lip liners since my go to liner is CT Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk and Iconic Nude. Man this makes me want to pull them out again.❤
Thanks for sharing, I have 3 autoimmune diseases and am in pain every single day. It’s so frustrating to act able bodied. Get that handicapped tag for your car!!! I asked my DR and she just had to fill out a paper. Easy peasy. Worry about you and your pain, don’t feel shame! Fuck what people think!
I have autoimmune and a rare neuro inflammation disease that affects my spine etc.. called Adhesive Arachnoiditis. I just had my first round last month for migraines. Insurance approved for a year. How did u go about the approval for your TMJ? I struggle with that as well but can’t afford the surgery to correct it!! 🙏🏼❤️✊🏼👑

Let's hope a cure/ effective therapy is available soon.🤞Symptoms do get more intense, but passage of time puts us closer to the cure, right?
I just heard of this brand because Jamie Paige just announced her collab with Mala! I wanted to see a review of their candles and found this old video of yours, I immmediately clicked! As usual you are so helpful and amazing with your descriptions.❤ I have a question: how much throw do these candles have especially the sample size and the 8 oz? The jumbo 16 oz is quite expensive but that is usually the size candle that I prefer… also after burning half of it, does it still smell just as good all the way down? Some candles even good quality natural ones don’t smell as good halfway down… they smell like play dough if that makes sense?
I actually stopped buying Mala candles for a few reasons. After purchasing a TON of their products I realized: A.) the throw is super weak except for a few scents like Cereal. B.) I don’t like the tin packaging because I can’t see the light very well. C.) The wicks are quite short so you barely get a flame at all. That said, the fragrances are amazing. They make some of my favorite scents I’ve ever tried and I have 10 backups of one of their candles because I loved the smell so much. If they had glass packaging and longer wicks I’d be a huge fan. @@holisticmaya also! Because they’re in Canada if you don’t like the smell of one of their candles, you have to pay out of pocket to ship the products back to Canada, which is expensive. Not sure if they’ve updated their return policy but I recommend looking into it.
@State of Kait,sorry to disagree with you about the female cast of "Love Island". They look much older than they really are. Because of the excessive & premature use of Botox injections!
I also had the same issue and called customer service with no help. I finally was able to resolve it by taking out the hyphen in between the numbers of my address for my credit card (probably for your shipping address too but I was only trying to do in store pick up). Pretty random but worth a try.
The TikTok algorithm is kind of maddening in how it hounds you to buy a thing you looked at. It’s almost like you want to buy the thing just to make that ad go away! 😅
