I Tried Your INSANE Tears of the Kingdom Challenges! 

I got a few things wrong in this video; thank you all for your corrections! Reply to this comment with any other problems you notice. 1. Pauseless is POSSIBLE! TeeGee has done it, watch his video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3z74NSpm__U.html 2. By completing some of the main quests and gaining the sages in the final battle, you can cut down the required number of kills for the Demon King's Army. Run around and let them get the kills instead. Given that you need to kill an army of gibdos to get Riju, she's probably not the best option, but getting Yunobo, Sidon, and Tulin would help! 3. Riding a steering stick negates fall damage, allowing you to fall into Hyrule Castle chasm without fairies. Also, you can grab walls to negate fall damage. 4. A skip in the intro of the game allows you to skip killing the keese, thereby cutting down the required weapon uses and monster kills.

For the pacifist run you could beat it by completing the 5 dungeons and letting the champions kill the enemies. Only 8 kills

Here is a cool challenge I personnally tried, the sky only challenge. Here are the rules : -You can't touch the ground layer of Hyrule and you can't enter the depths (besides Hyrule Castle Chasm and only after getting the Master Sword) -No duping glitch -Teleportation allowed And here are the objectives : -Complete the Great Sky Island -Complete 20 additional shrines in the sky to get the second stamina wheel -Get the Master Sword -Destroy Ganondorf This challenge is quite difficult, as you have to carefully manage your limited zonai charges and zonai devices (you indeed can't get the paraglider which is found on the ground). I think this management issue is what makes this challenge so interesting !

I don't know why nobody points this out but in the top of the cave there are two more bombs for a total of 8. Also I attempted fuse only no glitches (dupes)and had to allow recall as you need 6 bombs for ascend 1 to reach recall and 3 bombs for recall. Also when you use bombs you can cancel it with b and hit r to dive moving you forwards and making the jumps easier.

the no pausing challenge has already been completed by another challenge-runner. they had to do all of the opening shrines out of order, change their clothes by talking to the clothing dye guy from hateno village, and some other weird stuff. they also had to prepare a bomb flower sheild while they had the fuse ability for the parkour section at the end.

You should try beating all of the healthbar bosses using only a lynel shield (they do damage)

How all of the “Weapon Class” challenges would Go, (the sky islands are free space…) Bokoblins only: the Horns trivialize this, Shield/Bow-wise being stuck with Dragonbone’d be quite annoying, there’s a Boko-Horn reaper in the bunker of Lookout landing, armor-wise there’s the Hylian armors (upgrade wise) Boko mask and Midna’s helm (if you don’t count those) Lizal only… I don’t know of a guaranteed Lizal item location, but it’s possible Lynel only: ok, we’re getting into the good stuff… there’s a guaranteed Lynel horn Boomerang and bow, after getting those you can head directly to a lynel for a shield, inf height glitch to the Coliseum, get majora’s mask, do the Deku quest fuse a horn to the master sword and 100% possible Gerudo/Electric only, yup… possible (the only fusible gerudo item are more of them or Riju’s Sandseal plushies[How to make riju hate you any%]) Zora/water, yup… fusing chuchu jelly or waiting for rain, then speedruning towards the Lightscale Trident Goron/Fire/Rock, there’s rocks everywhere Rito/Wind, it’s possible… items fused to fans early game, then look for a feathered Edge and Kite shield Construct and the Yiga have been already done, Sheika only adds 1Def, Mind’s eye shield and the Phenric bow in exchange for the Duplex bow and (if you count it as yiga only) earthwake

For Pauseless, if you save ultrahand for just before recall, you can move the large grey float stones with fans near the temple of time and then ride it, hitting it repeatedly to change its direction, to reach the Room of Awakening / recall shrine.

You can hit Colgera from ground level with a zonai bow but the shots require a maddening degree of marksmanship.

I am currently doing a no hit run but when I get hit I just go to the last save I have the hylien shield but I don’t have the master sword and I haven’t beaten the temples because I think it’s more fun to fight the bosses at the end I am currently trying to beat the army and the bosses The best run i have gotten is the second phase of gohma

For colgera in the no stamina, you can get the dusk bow on one of the rooftops in hyrule castle, which shoots arrows straight without gravity.

An explanation for the respawned bomb The totk item respawn system (I thing) is similar tot the botw one so for every minute you are not in the area of the item there is a 1% chance for it to respawn. So the minutes you spent trying the shrine happened to respawn one. Totk no glitches with fuse is possible

You should play totk with only Rito weapons, I'm doing the challenge myself and it's been a blast!

I remember really liking the idea of beating tears of the kingdom without weapons, bows or the paraglider (basically you ditch the primary means of combat and traversal from the first game in favor of the new options in this one), but then I learned that without the paraglider the game won't allow you to get mineru. Kinda sucks cause I actually planned to use the mech a lot in a run like that if I ever tried it myself, but I'm sure it's still possible

I've tried doing the game without unlocking inventory categories except weapons and special, and not taking the paraglider and it's pretty cool. The no glider makes exploring more interesting, and almost no inventory makes combat more fluid, plus you simply fuse in place or never so no ressource management. I was able to do the fire temple even without any protection against fire (can't have armor, materials or food) thanks to interesting game mechanics and I wonder if you can guess how (: Unfortunately you can't have a bow for Riju so no Lightning temple and no materials for Sidon (royal scale) so no Water temple, but every other temple should be good (But Wind temple is going to be hard...) Right now I'm suffering on the lightninghead islands where I can't see anything and have to jump over and over again on invisible platforms... Otherwise, good video as always

no zonai arm actually ends a lot sooner than any of the shrines, given that you open the door to the room of awakening with your right hand

Here is a challenge, Deliver a pizza to everyone who you can sell stuff to, but you can’t fast travel, I came up with the idea myself.

I don’t remember the exact mechanics as to how items respawn, but what I DO remember is you can’t be in the same “chunk” as the ones you want to respawn

I'm pretty sure you can make some Zonai device to get enough height to kill Colgera. Maybe even a Zonaite bow with Aerocuda wings could reach it from the floor, not sure.

You needed to be away from the bomb flowers for them to respawn

You should try to beat TOTK without inflicting the final blow on any enemys (Dungeon bosses, and ganon not included) So you have to rely of sages abilitys or having them attack

I know beating it completely device-less (and glitchless) should be possible, but I wonder how many shrines and story quests are possible. The rules I had in mind was no device activation (indicated by sound effect), no taking out device capsules (using nearby devices is fine as long as they don't activate), no vows, Ultra hand and fuse runes only. I call it caveman link: duct tape only.

A Level 1 run could be interesting...(Inspired off KH level 1 stuff) Essentially you are only allowed to get 'required' upgrades, meaning beyond the fourth heart you get at the start, you can't use any stamina or health bonuses, and you could get the basic runes, but no autobuild or allies(presuming they aren't required). This is obviously possible, just wondering what the route would be, least glitches possible.

Go beat totk with a ,,nature run, where you can only eat veggies and can inly use sticks and woden sheilds. Basicly, only use plantals.(that means no meat, no metal, or other stuff like that. You can use the fuse ability, but only on greens, so no hammers or sticks combined with metal weapons.) Every type of armor is alowed, and you can pick up any materials, but dont use them to heal, or deal damage. Good luck. (Also, no dragon parts alowed)

The youtuber PointCrow has attempted to beat totk hitless, but took damage by his zonai hoverbike falling on him. He survived for 2 hours.

Hey! I’m currently working on a TotK challenge run and I love ur vids. Can I have some tips?

For hyrule castle u can go there without fall damage by just going very close to a wall (like the pillar of rocks in the middle) and then bressing B to cancel the dive and if done correctly link will catch himself on the wall without taking any fall damage or stamina (i dont think its a glich)

Fuse Only - Rearding the bomb flower respawns and stuff, if resources respawn the same as BOTW, overworld resources spawn on a complicated region based system, where if you aren't in the region there's a chance for the resource to respawn. As such, I believe since the entire great sky island is small enough to be loaded in, AFK'ing on the sky island would not help with resource respawning. It's more likely that the bomb flower respawned while you were in a shrine. As such, afk'ing in a shrine should work. No Runes or Stamina - Completing the wind temple, while very hard, is feasible since when you fight colgera you are automatically put in the sky, and have respawn points in the sky, so you could repeatably dive to the ground and kill colgera that way, giving you tulin and removing them from the boss rush

Totk with no jumping or climbing or swimming (Means if you see the animation of any of theese its a reset to latest save)

Pacafist mode in wich you get the sages to kill things for you . Generally beating the game with as few kills as possible

you should play totk defeating all the bosses with the power of the fifth sage or something like that

A challenge where you can't walk or run. Any other way of mobility is allowed. Like jump slashing. You can make a vehicle.

If you have glide suit on colgera it will lift you up as there is wind gusts

what's the fastest you could beat totk USING all glitches and techniques? also, I think a run where you can only use zonai tech for stuff would be fun, so you can use all the abilities, only zonai weapons and armour. you can't hit anything with a sword or a bow, you can only damage things via zonai tech. you could attach an emitter to your sword and use it like that, but it can't make any actual contact. bows wouldn't be allowed in this run unless you used rocket arrows or something like that. also zonaite doesn't count, it would only be tech

Items respawn over time and blood moons help with that but I'm surprised you couldn't get the bomb flowers to respawn after 3 hours of afking.

Here is an idea to get a fairy for runeless + no stamina. There is a fairy fountain in the Royal Hyrule Passage under Lookout Landing. Can you get there without stamina? Uhhhhh

Is it too late to suggest a thing? Can you beat TotK without Zonai devices? (Interacting with a Zonai device is disallowed. For Zonai devices that are pre-placed and pre-activated, their effects can be utilized, as long as Link doesn't interact with the device itself - for example, Link may use the stone platforms created by a hydrant pre-placed and pre-activated next to lava, given that he doesn't touch the hydrant itself.)

Totk but no runes and only master sword. You can pick up shields and bows and pull them out but you can use them in a fight.

I wonder how many enemy could be killed between 2 blood moon, i came up with a sorta of challenge that could be improved upond. The score is counted with the total fuse damage of the horns of the enemy killed between 2 blood moon, you can't pre damage, pre place any enemy before the blood moon and the battle music should not be playing, you can start from anywhere but no glitches are allowed and if you allready have horns in your inventory, you can keep them but be sure to substract them from the total at the end, and finally to make it more interesting in the path chosen, no fast travel allowed. What do you think about it?

Im not trying to be that guy, but you can beat Colgera without a paraglider. All you need to do is aim at the weak points on the ground and fuse you arrows to rockets or wings and your arrow goes a-lot farther. It takes timing and precision, but you can beat Colgera without a paraglider.
