I noticed that a lot of people are saying that starting a brand new channel will be difficult and already saturated. The reason they claim it is because they do not want you to take a piece of the cake. It is not saturated and not even close, there is always room for new creators. I started my YT journey two years ago with two major channels and already crossed 85k\month. However I noticed that all the influencers are just keeping the real secrets for themselves. I understood that after reading an ebook. No one is talking on how to outrank competitors keywords (Which is one of the most important things), how to bring traffic outside YT, how to do proper off page SEO etc...

The most important analytic is your audience retention. As long as you can keep viewers watching for the full duration of the short, it should go viral.

I myself tried this experiment but my topic was "Top 10" informational videos. Everything was good but I gave up only in a week lol because I took other projects and prioritize them over this. Anyways, this video was fast paced and on point. Great.

I use shorts to grow channels a lot. 1 mil views a day is common. You should have given it more time. They often pick up views after a few days/weeks. Im not sure how much of SEO work you did but from what I saw I think you could have improved it a little. the 5 mil + views video all have a 120+ % of view time. I think your best video had like 85%? So maybe something to look into. Most of my videos are around 7-12 seconds I believe. There is quite a lot to it. Great Video!

I got 1k subs in a month with shorts and what I realized, is that you shouldn't waste time with shorts that don't have an insane hook and content to keep people entertained the whole time. Focus on finding good content, not on quantity. In my last week I realized that and I only posted 2 shorts, one of them got 1.9M and the other one got 350K views.

This is my first time on Chris's channel but you earned my sub at the very end sharing "You were at like 1 sub for your first year, then 2 for the second and then you exploded." I find that very inspiring. I'm stil in my first year with ~30 subs, 95% friends/family and 5% unknown subs. I can't tell if I earned those subs are those are just friends/fam anonymous accs. This video is very inspiring that the beginning of RU-vid journey just takes grit cuz if I'm honest, my video quality isn't that good atm and my seo is nonexistent but slowly but surely.

Hello Chris, if I upload tv clips/movie clips, but edit them through such as effects, saturation, custom subtitles and custom music, will I be able to receive the shorts fund/shorts bonus? I know in the guidelines it says that "UNEDITED CLIPS" are not eligible, yet the ones I previously mentioned are technically edited. Cheers

My channel is a YT Shorts channel and I gained 80K subs in 1 year. You are onto something with posting RU-vid shorts every day and sometimes X2 a day! RU-vid rewards consistency as well high click through rates and watch time. So focusing on good titles & thumbnails also is helpful! A small tip you’re likely already doing is make sure you’re adding tags to your videos and your experimenting with when you are posting your RU-vid shorts. For example the 10am-12 window, 3-5pm, 7-9pm. Finding a window of time for posting videos that the most amount of people will see your videos at. If they are Gary Vee viewers who is the audience most likely? Are they working adults? If so, posting before they go to work or after they’re off work and are able to watch your videos might be the best time window. Just some thoughts as you think about your target audience and when they’re online & most likely to see your video.

Hey Chris. I started this channel in the summer of this year. So far I have like 4,000 subscribers and my shorts get a lot of views. I don't really like posting other people's clips and just kind of started this for fun but it got really big for some reason. Is it worth it to keep going? Will the Shorts monetization be worth it? Will I even get accepted into the program if I'm just reuploading other people's clips? I really have no idea

This Guy isn't wrong- since I started to post Shorts online, I've changed careers as a full time content creator because I got noticed... and it's opened up side opportunities that pay well. I started 2 months ago and got my first paying gig for content in the first month. You can do it too!
