Great. You have created a Dynamo from a washing machine motor. That gave me an idea. Thanks for sharing. You can also use that on flowing streams or by the windmill. I am very grateful for your invention.
Ingenious! I've used a drill as a lathe many times too. The issue is how accurate the job needs to be but you'd be surprised what you can do with just a file or wet and dry paper and a steady hand.
Dude great video ,! I'm 65 years old, getting ready to get a little bit of land and OUR POWER IN TEXAS WILL GO OUT AGAIN THANKS TO INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP- this is an idea to help keep me self sustainable. We appreciate you.
Your governor is a great republican Governor. One of the best in our country. It's the president that's a fukn MoMo geriatric dementia patient on the down low
Thank you for not having loud horribly annoying music on your video to distract viewers from the fact that even if this worked it would be a colossal waste of time and resources.
There's no negative comments here I can see. But I can't figure out which one is the positive and negative out of the 3 wires in 8:43, maybe you can help me how he figured that out?
@@BOREDANDWELLBORED 1 Those magnets are too small and far away to generate something 2 the magnets are too far from the windings 3 if turning the axis by hand generates 240 V, connected to that motor it should have an output in the order of K volts 4 using a three-phase motor as a generator you get three-phase current, it should pass it on a three-phase DIODE BRIDGE to bring it to DC, filter it, adjust the voltages and then feed it into an alternator to have an alternating output 5 despite the increase in the carick, no device seems to be affected by it, including the engine itself.
He's a BS artist. If you know anything about electrical engineering, you would realize this entire video is fake. What he's doing does not create any power whatsoever.
Thank you, i have a wash machine motor i actually wanted to use for this purpose but because they are inductive, normally you can't use them as a generator. But with your method you can. Genius hack. One suggestion i might make though to make it a little easier is to use a thick cardboard tube or maybe even water bottle the right size instead of pvc for easier removal once the a+b hardens. And as someone else mentioned, what is the actually frequency that this is, I'm guessing that it changes with the rpms of the engine. the frequency of that generator could therotically be bad for some electronics, if it is mismatched, so it would be good idea to run the power that it produces into a charge controller with battery bank and then invert it to the right voltage and frequency that you need.
Seems pointless as a lot of machinery dislikes inverter power as often not pure sine wave, it is expensive to make it sine wave, so perhaps what you could do is get an old alternator from a car and charge batteries from that! This produces 220-250vAC pure sine wave you could build a frequency control that keps the revs and voltage correct
See.. The inventor just busy to pin his/her latest video instead of give us a very brief answer about that frequency thing. So I hardly think it's legit.
@@gordonbeaton8131 yes i think your right a lot of cheap inverters tend to " burn up" electronics as i have found out the hard way. But things like a fan or old television as shown here. No big deal if it burns up. I wouldn't want to plug anything expensive in this
I wish I learned more about this stuff sooner, but plan on learning how to utilize electrical equipment from many angles! Few good videos on JONLEVI & others dealing with old world tech & free energy! Someone with more understanding might help shed LIGHT on this stuff further! ✌💎❤
Yes, it is very good to turn waste into treasure. For the safety of reuse, thermal protectors can be installed on the transformer. Dual protection makes it safer.
Wonderful project and excellent craftsmanship! I was very impressed that it was able to operate the 1/2 horsepower pump motor. Might build one for myself some time soon. Keep up the good work!
Your feeling of overwhelming impression was actually your intuition trying to tell you to focus a bit more attention there ... impressed = Bullshvt meter
Just multiply the wattage of the motor, if the motor 250watts thats 500watts depending also on the magnetifield and speed of motor. This project is very nice and very excelente
In stead of going through all that grinding, you could have used a drill bit the same diameter as the magnets, Measure the thickness to flush and drill down, Then place the magnest in each hole and mix a little bit of epoxy to secure them in place.
I was thinking he could have just used a little starter current to induce some magnetism into the rotor while it was spinning and skip opening the motor up all together..
Did anyone else notice that he has his speaker plugged into a power source through the positive and negative terminals to the speaker!!!!!! Apparently I guess his generators a musical amplifier as well!
This generator system useful in electric vehicle for recharge the batteries during car or bike running,,,,,,, great work brother,, appreciable 👏👏👏👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Probably wouldn’t have worked the same. For a couple reason. Wind won’t spin that generator as fast or as consistent as the gas generator. That’s why you often use home wind generators for charging batteries as it is lower voltage and doesn’t have to be consistent. Your voltage would be all over the place otherwise.
I think the magnet poles should have been fixed parallel to the axis of the rotor. Not perpendicular to it, for the magnetic field generated to match the copper coil around
you have a made a few mistakes: 1) what you have there is like a magneto and the output frequency and voltage VARIES directly with the rotational speed of the shaft (wich is not controller at all). the speed of the shaft should be 3000 rpm to get 50 Hz with two poles, since rpm = 120.f /number of poles. 2) the voltage reading you made was turning the saft with your hand and not with the gasoline engine... and also the value is incorrect! the highest voltage was 175 V RMS (at unknow frequency at minute 10:15 ). 3) you should check the voltage when the gasoline engine is attached and working. finally, i recommend you to use a green source of motion (instead of the 2 stroke gasoline engine) for the shaft, like wind or water from a river... and more important, learn how to read an analog multimeter here: watch?v=9rGDx92McTY
You know what impressed me 1st? Just how new and clean looking his drill press and all the other tools and bits and pieces were . Then how his hands are not what I'd expect from someone who does these projects. Too clean no scrapes ,cuts etc.. so before I even seen his project something didn't add up. So before praising this young guys project
yes this can generates some small power..10:16 but impossible with just hand rotation to generates 240v...don't fool people.. and the resin will melt, better drill a hole for magnet sitting flush with the rotor..
Yes, but the idea that I can create a generator and use a large wind rotor and gear it down to increase the speed of a smaller spindle means I can generate electricity in my yard. I can Rectify it and store it in batteries.
He wiped them on polyester shorts, and was still trying to dry them on his T-shirt in between plugging in and switching on each appliance. I daresay he may be self taught. Admirable all the same.
The RPM should be measured first thru a volt meter. For the beginners should not try that at home without consulting first from an expert, otherwise your appliances will be burn if the voltage goes to more than 300 volts.
Really really great project bro, but it do needs some smoothing circuit or maybe improve it into a much safer and usable generator, maybe an inverter could be a great idea🤔
This is an amazing video ... So just as the small motor is driving the electric motor through the belt if you had stream a river nearby by hooking up an extension to the electric motor that he built with paddles on there you could utilize a creek or river to drive that motor with water power and have a completely renewable source of energy without any other driving force
@@hernanedias554 type in washing machine generator. A guy in New Zealand has made what you are looking for and has been using it over a decade. He uses a small stream and a washing mashing motor and barrel. If you had a bigger stream you could make a water wheel and have bike rim on it with a rubber belt to the motor. Like a large cog to small cog. Larger cog moves slow and small cog moves faster to keep up with the larger surface. Marty t, New Zealander, and Angry ram, American, youtube pages
I've actually seen a video with a guy living off grid who does this exact thing (not the same design though) to power his cabin. He used an OLD drier from like the 80's.
@@bryang5412 You can do it quite simply by reversing the polarity of a alternator creating paddles and having it water driven it will consistently charge or recharge batteries. Do not use on electrical devices directly without some type of interrupter and then process because of the fluctuation of consistent voltage going to it
Okay. One thing you can do. Get ride of the Gas motor. Connect the shaft direct to a D/C motor shaft using insulated coupler. The generator will power the electric motor with the 220v thru an auto D/C A/C Converter. It will use less energy than the 220v generator. Run it as long as nothing breaks or shorts out from excess heat less any other problems. You can start it with a D/C auto battery and the Auto key switch. A volt charger detection circuit that auto stops the charged battery. Now you will have what I invented 55 years ago at 17 years old. PS. I improved this from age 18 years old to one not like this one to a generator with no moving parts. Go figure that out. Good luck.
it's a cool idea but it doesn't put out much amps. voltage may be high . size of magnets and wire thickness too small .a briggs and stratton engine 20 amp 12 v system at 36000 rpm and 20 hp will put out 38v a/c without the regulator . that winding he uses has more wraps so gets more voltage . notice it will run the small water pump with no restriction. add a sprinkler and it would probably struggle with load on it. the speaker probably has a step down transformer in it from 110v down to 12 v DC and the fan is barley spinning . would make a good 12v DC windmill .
The idea is good, but this generator does not support the stability of the voltage of 220 V and the frequency of 50-60 Hz . The author must connect a Voltage and Frequency stabilizer after the generator.
Чисто случайно оказался на канале по чисто гипотетической наводке одного человека , достойный "собрат" полуляха, канал по умолчанию держит планку 250/250 сами знаете чего
Nice concept. You can increase the overall power by making three phase winding. Count the turns in each coil. If the SWG used is 26, use 28 SWG and give same number of turns in each slot. You will get three phase system with 220V in each terminal with respect to common wire. Or you can get 400 volt across each pair of live terminals. If you want you can convert the three phase AC directly into DC.
@@obc7523 KWH depends on stator dimensions, the slots should be tightly filled to get maximum output. It's preferred to have full slot winding so as to have maximum slot fill factor. Even 3 phase is preferred over single phase because of higher power output (KW). Same is in the case of motors.
6000 watts is a bit ambitious. The generator is probably producing around 500 to 600 watts at most. You can see it struggle to produce sufficient energy with the fan blades slowing down.
Just my opinion on the fan. It may be a optical illusion made by the camera recording the video that makes the fan appear to be slowing down. Like for instance, videos of single or double engine plans and it appears as though the blades are not even turning because of the fps recording speed.. Just a thought....
@@ronniewebb2979 you are right. But here have to think simply 6000w means a generator of 8hp, is it feasible that a generator made from 300w motor can produce so much load. If on modification we suppose it may produce , double or triple means 900w, only for a little time span not for long hours. But not 8hp. And load on it assume 70w fan+ 300w speakers + pump 325w. But not 6000w.
The pulley on the motor/generator is twice the diameter as the one on the gas engine. If you switch the pulleys you will get 4 times more speed and thereby produce 4 times more electricity.
More power may not necessarily be a better result in this case. Remember that you have to not only control the total voltage but keep it at the required frequency(notice how slow the fan is moving?). Great job overall.
@@SrIrv When I said more power, I meant more electric power; I changed it on my comment. A larger pulley actually has less *mechanical* power because of less torque. The bigger the drive pulley the more generator speed, but less torque. The gas engine has plenty of torque, so that won't be a problem here. When the drive pulley is larger than the generator pulley it spins the generator at a faster speed than the driver rpm; that's why people use a 24" bicycle wheel to turn an alternator with a 2" pulley(12 times faster); more generator speed means more electric output up to a certain point. The frequency is how fast the current changes direction, so the faster the rpm, the higher the frequency. When studying electronics, it's said a higher frequency always means more electricity. Switching pulleys would give him 4 times more speed. The fan runs so slow because his set-up is only producing about 2 amps or less, that's why I said he would get better results if he switched the pulleys. (The monitor of this page doesn't think switching pulley's would be better, that's why he Highlight's any opposing reply to my comments.)
Thanks dude for the idea. I removed my washing machines motor, turn it into a generator. Finally, we have a power source now, but sadly we lost a washing machine and my wife force me to wash by hands otherwise she will kick me in the face.
