I'm sorry I love your videos and everything but in the video footage you can clearly see your phone was in your hand the whole fall and you just put it down beside you after you fell. The case didn't protect it. But great video and I know they are great phone cases.
@@mikaylarutter674 it was indeed in her hands but you can clearly hear it collide with the stairs when she was falling. also it's a real fall so she did not fake it or made a scenario. i don't know if you get me djjdndn
The fact that you are now using the clip of you falling down the stairs to go with your sponsor is amazing and we need more of that content as well please
im going to hell. i laughed at the video, but its literally the best way (realistically) to advertise the case instead of throwing your phone off the second floor. 100/10 both posture and way of advertising edit: also im planning on buying a case from them so im taking this as a sign
You really know how to save money....nearly $50 for a cheap phone case... When u can get them brand new on Amazon and eBay for like less then $15 and has exact same of even better build quality where they even cover the front of the phone too when these dont
@@Wanipuk.G well it is their money so I guess they can spend how ever they wish to. I have the cheaper amazon phone case thats a full cover of the front and back and it does the job BUT its not as asthetically pleasing as lilsimsies
I’ve bought two cases from casetify (after one video where Kayla was also sponsored by them) and sure they’re pricey but also cute and not so bulky like many others and so many from amazon are not shipping to my country. And it saved my poor phone too many times from damage of falling on concrete or any hard floor. Two days ago at work I hit the pallet with my leg and there’s a scratch on the case but with old case my phone would simply broke down. For me it is and investment (I’m not changing phone for few years) and nice gift for myself
@@Wanipuk.G Well I don't really care that much for protection because I take care of my phone (like gripping it so hard, or putting it on a flat surface before doing things) and I really like casetify because of their designs. They have colabs with artists and the cases are really cute. and yeah, I can buy super safe cases, but I have small hands and it would make me drop my phone even more. Other cute cases are very flimsy for me. From what I saw, casetify have the stiff phone cases that I want to have in order to protect my phone more.
Honestly how she didn’t throw her back out with that fall is beyond me. That looked BRUTAL, it looked like she bent in half backwards, Bella Swan style 😭
Petition for Kayla to do a build on her favorite lot with no restrictions.. no budget, no pack limit, no sims necessary, and just see how creative and awesome it would be. (I love all your content including base game and single pack/limited pack builds, but I want to see more!) ❤
I have covid (after working through the entire pandemic in a hospital) and have been watching your videos to help get me through. Thanks Kayla for being a safe, healing spot.
I actually like it when they have the houses that are empty because then I can decorate them how I see fit. Sometimes I think that that’s why they are empty like that along with performance reasons.
No, but that fall made me laugh so much! I can relate, bestie, I also fall down the stairs on a regular basis and without a case, my phone would very dead lol
i’m so glad i don’t have stairs… i’ve cracked my phone setting it down on the toilet. i don’t think anyone in my house would survive if i had access to stairs
KAYLA GOING THE EXTRA MILE AND PUTTING IN THE FOOTAGE OF HER FALLING DOWN THE STAIRS LMAO 😭😭😂 if this doesnt get her more sponsorship, I dont know what will 😂😂
I like that lot for the view of the mountains, and if your sim gets modernization voted in the NAP, it would look a whole lot better. And what about a rust color to the walls of the container. And I don't know about you, but whenever I use that lot, I got to have grass or at least some dirt for a garden. There is also fencing in Debug. I know I saw a chainlink fence in there somewhere. And I really wished you got the dumpster or the water collector for this build that way you could have almost done the house entirely with EL.
I think it's very understandable why the house was left empty. It has necessities but also a huge room for Simmers to figure out how to utilise this specific type of house (so, a shipping container home). It's like a blank canvas, a clean sheet of paper - and that's great!!
when this pack first came out i redid this lot too and added all the fun colorful swatches of the items that look like they've been painted by the sims, i also added those lanterns from seasons and made the colors coordinate. one of my favorite builds
love container homes, love the idea of living in one on a plot of land way out in the forest, maybe not totally off the grid but no landline phone lmao, either that or a plop it in a trailer park or tiny home community, also with those eco homes I like to add those lil glass floor pieces from island living but on the roof so theres a skylight
Such a great build, especially with the funky color combo! I've been looking for a "glow-up" of this very lot ever since I downloaded the Eco-Lifestyle pack years ago.. Thank you for giving this one a shot! :)
just like a week ago i tried to make a shipping container house using that exact photo of the blue house w the decks u showed as my inspo and i failed miserably so im honestly so hyped to watch u bring my dreams to life for me LOL
I always struggle with builds which are more themed- I can no traditional family builds and modern ones. But industrial or Tudor style etc I struggle with- so it's always helpful watching videos like this for ideas!
That fall was terrifying. I'm glad you're okay. That made me loudly say "OMG" while I was at work lol I work at a hospital I see people break their arms, legs and tail bone due to falls downstairs. Please don't wear socks on slippery surfaces. Wear slippers with grippers. Or socks with grippers if you must wear socks ... I'm glad you are okay ♥️
This lot is always a nightmare to landscape, because it just doesn't feel like anything livable belongs in the middle of the shipping yard, but Kayla managed to make it look pretty natural and not jarring. Respect.
This is so fun as I (a student) actually live in a shipping container. And simsie yours is way bigger than an actual container but it makes for fun ideas for my own studio
It's really cool to see you going outside of your comfort zone and making some more out-there builds! And doing a spectacular job with it- this came together so well!
I've heard the falling down the stairs story a million times bc I catch the twitch streams when I can and also I follow simsie on tiktok but I forget that like if you just watch her on this youtube channel I'm p sure she hasn't mentioned it at all??? so fun little story haha good job turning that into an ad
I really like it! Honestly, I think the reason the original building was so sparse is it wasn't meant to be a "sim with some moderate means builds a cheaper house with shipping containers" so much as "sim with no means drags these containers together themselves and manages to scape together a few things to go into it", which works with the off-the-grid property of the lot...the person living there is effectively "homeless" but found a place to make their own. At least, that's how I RP it with the sim I have living there right now...
That fall down the stairs looked painful but I admit I did laugh too. I moved into a bungalow about 2 years ago and WFH so now whenever I'm faced with stairs (sounds odd but really is a rarity now) it feels like I forgot how to walk up or down them? I just feel awkward doing it now lol
i might be a bit of a nerd, but the reason blue and orange look good together are because they are complementary colours (opposite colours basically), whereas green's complementary colour is red. this is why the green siding with the orange doors felt off :] colour theory honestly save my sims builds cause otherwise they'd be a mess lmao
I am amazed you kept your composure lol. Everytime I fall off a chair or down the stairs, I laugh my ass off. Now falling up the stairs, that hurts like a hell 😂
Hey just wanted to say I'm absolutely obsessed with your videos and actually wanted to suggest a possible video idea for the future(making my dream home in sims)Much love and keep doing what you are doing because it's working.❤❤❤
I said it in the last video aswell, those stairs in your house are so tall compared to what we have in Australia. I would have broken my tail bone if I had of done that so I don't think you need to feel bad that you were stunned by the fall.
I have never laughed so hard at someone else's pain before but that video had be in hysterics. I went down my stairs on the last day of 2020, and I very well could've saved myself if I had just allowed my phone and switch to take all 14 steps instead, but no, I sacrificed my own butt. Casetify is so cute, might have to treat myself this year. Anyway, I actually really like this build! I love that shade of green, and the blue/orange combo is complimentary! I find these builds to be soothing, and they always make me feel motivated to go build myself!
It was nice to see something new and see you not being overly worried about cheating in a bit of money. I hope you continue to do new things. Keep up the good work :)
With the packs on sale now, I got this pack with the Tiny Home one. I did the shipping container home, but went with a 3x8 to make it a micro home. Would like to try a challenge with each generation gets to add another container. Maybe only furnish with what can be made by the sim.
You know, I go to a school that is made out of containers, the container texture is clearly visible at the outside it’s just painted grey. It’s pretty cool!
Oo I love it, nabbing for my game! :) I think one of my Sims kids who wants to recycle would love to live there, he is only a kid now, but once he ages up, I now know where to put him lol
Glad you are OK - that fall did NOT look like fun 🤕! I don't go in for 1 bedrooms normally because MC Command Center with random marriage/pregnancy means very few houses suitable for 1 bedroom ☺but that is a cute one! I have fond memories of playing a surrogate sim challenge on that lot with the "off the grid" "reduce and recycle" and "simple living" lot challenges. My girl Abbey fell in love with Raul Chopra which was legit perfect. Got them in my template save now.
I remember when I bought this dlc I immediately made a house using it. I did two floors and the best thing is the swimming pool which is entered from the roof. Ordinary containers still work on the imagination ^^
Damn! So that is how I looked😂😩😂I fell down stairs just like those 7 stairs to be exact. The whole left side of my body was bruised. That fall is the reason why I wear socks with rubber grips on the bottom🤣
