@DanRobzProbz I miiiiight have just spent the better part of the last 12 hours playing! 🙈🤣 (meal and kiddo picking up aside) I'm currently around 4k emc away from my 5th emerald and had to force myself to turn off my pc and go to bed, I've been up since 1.30am (for work) and it's now nearly midnight 🤣🙈 think I might be a biiit tired tomorrow 🤣 loving it so far, altho is there any possibility of a coords/time of day addon? I'm an avid sleeper usually, so having to hide at night for the first "week" or so until I'd dug out enough of the dirt to get myself a nice perimeter setup had me popping my head out of the dirt like a meerkat several times 🤣 and I know the f3 screen is there for coords, but having them available at a glance is much simpler for my scatty brain! I also ended up adding in an anti-enderman griefing vanilla tweaks data pack, because the server I play on has that and I'm really not used to them stealing blocks left and right 🙈 every single time I'd come down from my mob farm I'd find holes in my wall, which I suppose is part of the difficulty, but I'm a wimp, lol. Very much looking forward to getting my first sapling and finally having tools beyond the wooden shovel, altho I did get suuuper lucky with a zombie shovel drop - silk touch iron! So I've got grass blocks in my table now, and the possibility of other things (for the 3 durability left at least 🤣) Sorry for the super long reply, TLDR - I'm loving it, and can't wait to play more!

@@vissieroo5493 Wow…! Thanks for that little read, sounds like you’re having a blast! When I was testing, I created a huge chicken farm to produce emc somewhat passively from eggs, feathers and chicken(not amazing but helps) Thanks for the feedback

Ok I feel like an idiot for missing this... But I don't think I am the only one to do so.... The 30 levels you need to spawn a trader or pillager can be submitted a few levels at a time. Submitting 5 or so levels at a time instead of waiting until you have 30/50 significantly reduces the amount of xp orbs you need to collect to spawn them. Now I've done everything before diamonds... just waiting for a thunderstorm... its been many months....

This looks fun. I really miss the Forest Nothing world that you did a couple years ago. I recetnly tried to play it again, but the loot table for the pillagers is broken and they never dropped any emeralds. I played for over 100 days, no emerald. Any chance you will be updating this in the future? Maybe with all Spruce saplings instead? :)

I've tried this modpack now for 2 days and i cant get normal mobs to spawn because of all the bats that do spawn????? help!!!

Saw that you made another modpack and immediately downloaded it. I'm about 3 hours in, and I do have some things to say. First a few notes on how I'm playing this: -I'm toggling peaceful mode off and back on when night starts to trigger nighttime mob spawns. -I'm using peaceful mode to redesign my base to test various designs. -Every night, I slaughter as many mobs as I can lure into my trough, and every day I'm killing as many slimes as I can (I have the slime trophy already :D) With that out of the way, here are my current notes: 1) Love the concept. I love Project E, and this is one of the few modpacks that makes the game still challenging without removing the EMC value of everything important. 2) The increased mob cap is great. It makes early-game EMC much less painful to obtain. 3) I don't know if I'm unlucky or what, but the only emeralds I've been able to get are 3 from killing wandering traders, two of which I spawned in. I mean, I know I'm unlucky since I've killed 141 zombies and have yet to get an iron ingot, but I'm basically just grinding to level 30 as fast as I can to get more traders as my emerald source. 4) Personally, I think it would be a good idea to start the player off with a crafting table. Specifically so you can potentially make some armor before you get 5 emeralds. I think that would also make the first 5 emeralds much less luck-dependent, as you can safely kill more mobs. Alternatively, adding a hoe could also be a solution to early-game emeralds, since it's a better way to EMC farm than anything available pre-sapling. 5) I love the rewards being more EMC. It's basically saying "here, have whatever you want within this budget". It means you still have to obtain everything at least once, which I really like. EDIT: I finally got 5 emeralds, and when I tried to turn them in for the sapling quest, I got the sapling but kept the emeralds for some reason.

UPDATE: I'm now 9 hours in and have one more note and one identified bug: Bug: The sapling quest is not a repeatable quest, which is part of what was going on in my previous comment. I'm assuming it didn't take the emeralds from me because it's a manual detection quest or something like that. Note: Most of my EMC from my 1 layer above-ground mob farm comes from the insane number of glow squids that can spawn. And I'm getting good rates, especially given I haven't been able to light up the overworld yet. While I appreciate the huge EMC injection early-game, I doubt you meant for such a large amount of passive pre-Nether EMC to be from it. I don't think it needs to be changed (mostly because it makes getting emeralds much easier), but I think it's worth making note of if you want to rebalance its EMC value to be on par with the other mob drops.

I like the idea but highly frustrating pack. The only way to progress (unless you are extremely lucky with drops) is to summon a trader using XP. XP is very slow to come by and easily lost. The only building block available is dirt which means that hours of slowly killing things with a shovel at 1 heart a swing are lost every time an enderman decides to breach your defences and let a hoard of zombies into your base behind you. A lot of worlds are not even viable due to the pattern of slime chunks.

Its not that hard to get lvl 30, just dupe wheat in the table and trade with villagers

@@skallet except at the start you need emeralds to get saplings to get wood to make a crafting table to make a hoe. only way to get your first emerald is to either summon a trader with 30 levels and hope for a drop or get extremely lucky killing a zombie villager that are vanishingly rare. Or you can go the chicken breeding route but for that you actually need chickens to spawn which there is a good chance they just will refuse to do so. By the time you have wheat and villagers XP isn't a problem as you should also have been able to build a decent mob farm once you get a crafting table to make a bucket and get water.

IVE COMPLETED THE MOD PACK..... but one quest u cant do is the warden. so far as a i know its impossible to spawn it in

got early game EMC from making skele's shoot creepers. the disc are like 2k EMC ea. by the time i hit 1m emc a got my first emerald. and started going straight for Basic flowerrs and pedestals with flowing time. after that everything was easy.

First night is easy... Dig the dirt under the 4 lanterns. Put dirt and lanterns into the table. Take lots of dirt from the table. Quickly build a 2 high wall around 10 blocks distance from the table giving yourself space to work while making sure the space in your base is smaller than the minimum distance for spawns. Bonus points if you build the wall with an overhang so spiders can't get in.

Dan I love your videos, I just wish that you'd spend more time playing and less time talking/explaining... it's super interesting to watch you play, but man listening to you talk is exhausting.
