I Turned my Basement RC Drift Track into a Zeepkist Map!

You might be able to stack low-speed high-force boosters to make a one-way barrier. You could also set the checkpoints at 1/3 and 2/3 of the way through the loop, instead of at the entrance and exit.

One way *checkpoints:* Request for Jannic. One way *boosters:* Overlay a directional booster and an omnidirectional slowster. Choose the forces so that their sum is something high enough to reliably stop someone going the wrong way, and the difference in force equals the force of the resulting acceleration or deceleration (and the slowster set to a speed cutoff of zero). The higher you make the sum of forces though, the tighter the requirement for taking the booster perfectly straight.

I've never been much of a fan of RC cars, but that drift track was a lot of fun to watch... both in Zeepkist and the original. When you've fixed the checkpoints on the Zeepkist version, I think you should do another video with it. And I'd totally watch you and Kosmo racing RC cars on the drift track.

Umm I have an Idea for a Keepkist track, but I'm not allowd to have Zeepkist so I was wondering if you or one of your friends could make a track based on the 12 ep anime called SK8 Infintiy. I really think that the track in the last episode would be eaisyer to make, and I would have to see the "cheese" bridge and rock that they use to skip parts of the track, and that place that they start at. But if you make the main track, I would have to see the starting gates and the end Facory. I love your guys videos and now it's time for me to watch this one!

I think I have an idea that might stop wall riding. That would be to build the walls out of posts with little gaps between each post. The gap needs to be a little bit larger than a wheel, so when it drops into the gap, the chance of losing the wheel or completely eating dirt is increased.

I have a tiny 4 foot long slot car track in the basement across from my room, a whole little drift track for RC cars is awesome

OMG, what if you built/printed a shell for the RC to mount a GoPro, and drift the Zeepkist track IRL, from the ZK perspective. That would be nifty difty.

Instead of a third checkpoint, you could add it and remove the two approaching for one fewer. Also, needs more directional boosters to prevent backwards cheese. Basically a checkpoint at the back end of the roundabouts and directional boosters at the in/out spots (start/finish special circumstances) to minimize cheese. Also, cool irl track

I don't know how to explain it exactly, but it is possible to drift in Zeepkist. it just requires a proper management of fans to support the car into keeping momentum while sideways. I need to finish my track and share it.

we need checkpoints with numbers, that you have to get in checkpoint 1 until checkpoint 2 even counts and so on. and maybe checkpoints with multiple stacks for multilap checkpoints

The skip Zoman did was easily avoidable by not putting both checkpoint at the start of the corner and instead putting it in the middle of the corner.

Have you tried to put a gopro or such on the car to get a first person racing perspective? That would be cool :)

When I had a 1/10th scale RC car (from a Tamiya kit in the 90s), it would have been too fast for that track - it would do 35 real MPH (350 scale MPH). I literally ran it 5 feet up trees from our back lawn (low traction). Unfortunately in the 30 years since, the plastic became too fragile, and it kept breaking after 60 seconds.

So first off it was awesome seeing the actual track in the basement, but I thought this map was already made/played but with the cars and gas station in a night theme like last month?

Is there anything forcing you to go in the same order for the checkpoints? I have never played the game. Are they numbered or something. You do not need a third checkpoint in that corner... in fact you do not need 2. Just move the checkpoint into the back.

maybe with tracks like this, use the non-solid blocks to draw a line on the ground to indicate the way to go :)
