Jokes ok you, I only weight 95lbs (issues I do see with this at bottom). Besides, acrylic is about 30x's higher in load-bearing capacity and has about 30x's more impact-resistance than glass of the same size and thickness (duh, I guess that's prob obvious). What's more interesting (and what makes it more wildly used and prized as a glass replacement) is acrylics flexibility. Acrylic has the unique characteristic of bending and distorting as a result of higher pressure/stress or due to the force from sudden impact. Instead of cracking, shattering, or breaking that's usually common problem with hard plastics, polymers, and glass, acrylic distributes the energy from the sudden force/stress so that it flexes and "distorts" at the point of highest impact/stress, similar to how rubber bends and flexes as it absorbes and distributes the energy from being bounced, dropped, or manipulated via collision/some other force into ripples/waves across it's surface until the tension is gone. Usually, harder materials can't distribute force or tention very well and instead will either fracture outwards from the point of impact, will shatter as the material is unable to absorb the energy from the sudden force, or will just break into large pieces where the force was greatest and had the most momentum. Not acrylic. That stuff bends and flexes as if made of rubber, vinyl, or soft plastics. Will say, while acrylic is awesome and high grade, american made acrylics have some amazing uses and benefits, its not the best material in terms of heat resistance and can get pricy. Also, 2,000$ seems iffy considering the size, thickness, and number of acrylic boards she used to make this, meaning she likely bought low quality acrylic which is extremely risky to use for animal enclosures. Not only is acrylic highly toxic because of the chemicals used in and around manufacturers, but low quality acrylics are way more dangerous to use as they are less regulated and aren't even close to mid quality, making this an extremely stupid decision on her part to use this for plants and animals. Those chemicals are deadly to fish and many aquatic/terrestrial plants and will inevitably seep into the fishes water and should the filters stop functioning properly, it will kill all those fish. Acrylic in general is considered far more toxic than other safer, more or just as durable, heat resistant materials such as polycarbonate or even just plain glass. Also, unless she specifically bought a higher quality acrylic that is intended to resist yellowing and block uv rays, this will quickly go from clear to a foggy yellowish color in a matter of months since most pet fish and plants require light set ups that provide a spectrum of beneficial rays. Plus, don't aquariums require a heating apparatus? I own snakes, not fish, so I'm basing this off of my own experience in building an enclosure, but if i remember correctly, many fish tanks require heating and lighting in some way, which would make acrylic a fucking braindead material choice compared to pvc or other higher quality polycarbonate panels since acrylic is one of the (if not THE) least resistant of the plastics used for animal enclosures. Also, fish, like snakes, become stressed in new environments where they feel they can't hide or get away. So why tf is she laying on top of her tank as if the fish are like dogs that totally just love cuddles and aren't panicking over the giant human laying over top of them. Lastly, this was just a fucking stupid thing to do in general. Everything about it screams "I'm bored and want to do this idea desite zero intention on conducting any research or information gathering because... fuck it, why not" and is just a waste of materials that could have very likely led to the death of alot of her fish for no reason other than boredom, views, and monetary gain.
@@radicalgeckosuperstar9885they said terrorize the fish because 1. There is no filter so the fish could die from the waste and dirty water 2. There is no way to feed the fish so they will die to starvation and 3. The fish could reproduce which could lead to inbreeding or fish eating other fish. So yeah not a good home
@@IPostThingsSometimes there is a filter that is better shown in the full video, the lid is removable, and idk about that last one but doesnt any tank with a bunch of fish run the risk of that? Don't know.
@@user-kt3qm8jy8y Thanks for letting me know there is a filter! Most fish keepers that actually take care of them have the special equipment it’s usually little kids who get betas or goldfish that don’t take good care of the fish, but thanks for letting me know 👍
@@ult_Violet like, you literally only have 170 subs who the h3// do you think you are? Also can a "gacha kid" spell? That's my question They can't spell, why can I ? Maybe bc I'm not a kid
@@ReleaseTheBatz Yeah, if she did her whole body would be hurting so bad that she could barely stand up 😂 How I know this? I slept an entire night on our couch, that has a soft surface.
Your home insurance company would LOVE this. For anyone even considering this... make SURE your home insurance, or condo insurance policy covers this! FYI: a lot of home insurance companies may not cover when they find out you have a water bed. (They actually ask that question when you sign up.) And if you want extra coverage to cover such a thing as water beds, then you need to pay more.
Who would consider this? 1) wasted money 2) who has so much space? 3) this is something only someone with too much money can do. Just the glass was 2K and I suspect it was more than that plus she didn’t do all that work by herself. Who has the space, time, or money?
That's cool! Where did u get the robot shark 🦈 & fishes 🐠🐟? All u need is a mattress🤷🏽♀️. Do you realize that u can build anything into a fish tank. Very creative! 😀
How do the fish get oxygen? Suggestion for a mattress: build a low bunk bed on top for a mattress but with a space in between so the mattress is not laying directly on the top of the aquarium. Use cross boards for support like any other mattress. You might need a better frame.
Not only putting the fish at risk by sleeping on the tank, but your first and only concern if the tank broke was your floor flooding, not the fish getting injured. It's giving "I'm rich and use my animals as accessories"
That would be a LOT of damage. So of course it’s the first concern. Overall this is just the dumpest idea. I would never set up a fish tank like this one.
@ylloh3334well yea I mean women cant do anything to make men like y’all to stfu When women doing something far different from adult film u be trashing her and still trashing her yet ppl out there still simp and respect 304 more than normal women 😂 at this point it u guys problem
Yup hoping they only put those in for a few minutes for the video. Too many fish for that size tank. No filtration system. Pretty sure those fish probably just went in for a quick video tho.
Yes. But they have plenty of room to live in. You don't know her, maybe she knows how to take care of them properly. Even if, of course, it's a bad idea to sleep on it, it could breaks and kill them. But just like all aquariums.
@@Kat-hs2ij well she sealed the thing so I'm pretty certain she had to take it apart soon after, because ironically the fish can suffocate due to the lack of air as well.
are you vegan then? and they’re* (they are) not their (belonging to them, like their tank) but it’s just to try and there must be an opening… so I’m sure they’re fine
As an engineer i want to mention two points One i hope you realize that water has a lot of weight so if its not at ground floor i would first check the tensegrity or simply move the bed near walls or beams Second water will leak from the weakest point so at first it may appear that there are no leaks but i would keep an eye out for atleast a day or so and add a few beams in between the corners for a bit of extra strength
@@AyaneOfDeath well you can't say this to creative ideas I will be honest I actually like the idea like how cool it would be if you could have a proper transparent bed with fishes and stuff hehe and also I can't deny someones creativity
@@AquariumInfoMy 100L aquarium has been leaking since Sunday and it's really a mess in the room I need to refill and vacuum clean the water 4 times a day until a new tank is delivered. I can't imagine what will happen if that bed tank is leaking
Я бы никогда не смогла уснуть на такой кровати по двум причинам, первая: это то что она жесткая очень, а вторая: это тоже самое как лечь спать на телевизор, вместо сна я бы всю ночь следила за рыбками...😂
I think I have a better idea for you if you wanted to make a Fishtank bed, super shoot out the fish thing on the bottom where all of the fishes swim and then and I knew it’s gonna be uncomfortable so I would rather like to keep the bed and just put a mattress on top of it
Awesome 👏 wow you did it all by yourself?? If I was you I would put a comfy mat ( foam mats r so comfy No one sees u in a dark bedroom And during the day would have a show off !!! Really awesome
