I Turned My Loki Into A Steam Deck Mini! - ChimeraOS 

Well, this is weird but good news. TecToy is planning to make the Loki Zero and Loki Max locally in Brazil, now called Zeenix. If the price is good and I can get one, I will obviously put a linux OS on it.

it has a sodimm slot. if you get the 4gb model, you can save a bit of money by not getting the 4gb stick they include and then buy a 8gb stick of ram. pop it in, flash the bios with the one ayn provides and boost your vram to 2gb. then you still have 10gb of ram for windows/whatever.

ive been using thee loki zeero way more than my steam deck because it smaller

Windows updates will take up all your ram and slow down everything. ChimeraOS is way way better and way better battery life.

As a console player I don’t have a steam library but I did downloaded apex and it runs real good so I think I’m gonna keep my steam deck and hopefully build a decent library . I do like how they support the console .

can I install ChimeraOS instead Windows on internal storage? From the tutorial I found it seems like installer have a disk install choice right? Which one should I choose.

I bought mine 3 months ago and have been using it with linux and I love it. people say that you can't play 3d game here, but I have finished many games here like Yakuza saga, Persona 3 Reload, Kiseki games, etc... obviously you need to configute the resolution and graphics but you can play 3d games here edit: I upgraded to 12gb ram my Loki Zero so performance is a little better thanks to that

I'm considering a Loki max or a steam deck OLED? Would chimera os work on the Loki max I don't want to deal with windows! Loki max is 499 now and a bit more powerful than the steamdeck

Yet another example of Windows being shit and restricting users with it's design (using a fuck tonne of ram). Even an 8GB Loki Zero, while it has plenty of ram, would be using most of it for Windows. Plus Windows is doing shit in the background, that's where a lot of the ram usage comes from, so games run a bit worse on Windows at this performance level (low end devices). the only two things that still would make me get a Steamdeck over this, is that I'd want a stronger processor so I can use Discord while gaming. And I want those touch pads for PC games like Age of Empires and stuff. Mouse & keyboard games. Even for the AoE games with gamepad support, a steamdeck layout would be better because a touchpad works better for moving a cursor than a stick. I wish this budget end was just slightly more useful.

Steam Deck really needs a smaller version with front cam.

That’s really really bad for what it is, hahah. That performance is inexcusable, I can run all those games on my 2019 iPhone without a problem. Now is this different from an iPhone in every way? Of course! Does that make it reasonable for them to ship ewaste? Absolutely not! Worst part is: they made other devices, cheaper devices on ARM that run these better.
