I WAS IN A LOBBY WOTH THIS HAPPENING!I was jumpscared but couldn't talk cuz my mic didn't work,I was the greninja nobody was letting evolve until 5 minutes ;-;
I love Greg. He's better than the ones I run into who yell at me when I'm Blissey for not following them into a very obvious, and pointless fight we would 100% lose
One of my first VC experiences with Unite was this total dude who was jungling, not playing well, and not showing up to objectives. When Drednaw spawned, I requested help multiple times and then he finally said “sorry [Pokémon I was playing], I’m not paying much attention. I just can’t stop thinking about my girlfriend.” And I legit laughed out loud so hard that I couldn’t see and got murdered by the enemy team.
I was playing with VC and got eventually banned for 72 hours because we pushed at the end game (back when Zapdos was still a thing), took everyone out on their team, scored on their base, and then stole the game back from them even though they took Zapdos. Yes I got banned for 72 hours for saying, "Good job team! Excellent work!"
Yes that happens. Once I was saying stuff in my own language, didnt realise mic was on. Got banned. might have screamed too but at myself mostly coz I played so bad that match. But your one is hilarious. and I usually got banned for asking them to rotate to Dred.
Yup... I literally got banned from chat cause there were two people afk and I told everyone to report them for obvious reasons + a guy who wouldn't shut up and stop cursing. Turns out I was the one who got reported 👍🏻
Honestly, i'll tell yall my funny Story on when i found a full team using VC I was Trevenant The Others were Lucario, Blissey, Sylveon and Duraludon While Everyone was at Dred, the Lucario kept yelling at me to come and help. Meanwhile, i was just stalling at top trying to get Rotom or trying to keep the Enemies from getting down to Dred Their Friend, which i know was the Blissey, kept telling him to Focus on Dred and just leave me (Trev) alone since it looked like i could hold them in place. Later, when we were at 2:00 and Zapdos spawned the Duraludon told me to activate Curse and see If the Enemies would Focus on me. I did and 3 people jumped Out of the Bottom Right Bushes. Blissey used her Ult to keep me alive while the Others tried to get Zapdos. We managed to actually get it and that group Just sounded so god damn Happy. They popped of and thats the only reason that i found Out that they were a Team. The only Thing i remember from that Last Minute was one of them going "WE FINALLY WON AS A TEAM"
Omg the unite voice chat experiences are legendary. People do get angry and toxic sometimes but you also get a random gengar smashing the buttons and going "I'm doing my best" or pikachu turning on the mic just to cheer you on when they died against rotom and you were left alone. Ah, good times. Rip old map [*]
I just played with someone who talked us through the whole match even though no one talked back and it was so comforting. Idk why but you can just hear how much he wanted those wins and it made me want to win even more for him. He was encouraging while still being upset at time.. it was hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just got a VC 3 stack consisting of Ttar, Gengar and Mime (you can probably guess the result of this battle) with me as Dragonite. Now, while I turned off hearing the voice chat until Rayquaza, they gave good advice. I think it was Mime who said "let's stay on their bush. Yeah yeah, the hallway one" and as we defeat the opponents that show up, they go "okay, now everyone to Rayquaza!". It really felt like I was part of their team, specially because they were talking Spanish, so I could perfectly understand them. The enemy did get some scary scores back, but we won by 400 points, as the Mime player was saying during the transition to the results screen. I also got some better praise than the generic good job the game gives and then the Mime made some hilarious remarks on the numbers: "The Slowbro tanked 79k damage, but the Gengar suffered 79k damage because we were focusing on it. Like you (referring to Ttar user), you took 43k, while Mango (our Gengar) suffered 60k" All in all, quite the experience. SQT_Anark0, MangoGaláct(ico) and SQT_LeMonk, if you happen to read this, gg guys.
my first (and only, as of right now) experience with someone using vc was this foreign guy who didn't know english very well (which is an adorable trait to have by the way, i commend and fully support all english learners they're doing so well and im so proud) i think he played blissey this game. i ended up laning with him and his supportive, encouraging personality. he was saying things like "go team!!" and "good job guys!!",,, at one point i was retreating at like 0.5 something % health and i heard him exclaim, "omg radio diary youre so low!!!" i was fully expecting to get swore at and cyberbullied by some stranger in an online multiplayer game, but no, this guy chose kindness. what a king
Greg seems like a nice guy on vc compared to the ones that I've encountered so far. I once had a guy swearing at me for the entire last min when we were losing. He was swearing and saying he'll report me bc I wasn't there to support him. What can I do when he was so aggressive running to 1 vs 4 team fights to feed their exp when we were already lower in levels? 🤦♀️
Playing with friends with mics is just another level than playing without. It can change the mood of the game, the player/s and makes the game enjoyable, when playing solo no mic, the game can easily become a drag after a couple of games and feel more repetitive
I remember once getting shot called by a Slowbro in Solo Q, but he was actually really nice and we did win because he set situations like “I will Ult the Greninja, come get em” and we did get em
I will never forget this 1 vc experience. This was rank and I was playing as elde. Me and my partner was doing good at bottom lane and he and his lane partner wasn’t doing so good. He kept talking about his lane partner the entire time, when I eventually went up to help him after bottom was good, he kept thanking me and was still on his lane partner’s case. I couldn’t help but kept laughing during the entire thing, I couldn’t focus all the way, but one of the funniest match I ever played. It was his delivery
This was the funniest Pokemon Unite vudeo I've ever seen 🤣 it was more like a first date when Teeds doesnt want to disappoint Greg ❤️lovee ever bit of this
You don't need headphones in. As long as you enable incoming voice chat, it will play through your speakers as well. I play on my Switch in docked mode and can hear other people talk through the TV speakers. I do need the headset to talk to others myself though.
Nice experience you had there. Here in Mexico voice chat is about been exposed to insults, and being reported if you said something they didnt like, freaking culture....
This happens to me a lot lol. My favorite though was when a machamp started trolling the game and didn't show up to zapdos. The whole game was quiet until the enemy got zap and then a girl pops on and just curses out Machamp and tells us all to report him for griefing lol
Someone was watching The Amazing World of Gumball or something I'm pretty sure and left their mic on when I was in a match, we won in the end so maybe that just gave them strength
I had match today when our cinder afk from start, he return when its almost over, and i saw he say something, i turn my volume up, he say 'Oh no, there's nothing we can do now, its all gone' then proceed to sing along the battle music.🤣🤣 Never have i ever wanted to slapped someone throught my phone
This guy was more chill than I expected. If this were a game like League of Legends he would be shouting ableist slurs and blaming everyone but himself
Game chat is complicated, sometimes you meet a generally tame and kind person, other times, you would occasionally find a person who's funny and relatable, then you get the guy from CoD who's eating his mic while simultaneously cussing you out and threatens you to come over to your house and break your knees.
greg wholesome vibes: awe so wholesome also zoning where teeds: hahahahahaha, there is a lot you need to learn about defending man (me having painful memories during rigorous training as trevenant/mamoswine main until present day)
I swear way too much to put mine on, I get annoyed alot. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Greg seemed nice. It'd be cool if he watches this and knows he's appreciated.
The ONE time I turned on voice chat, I didn't talk because nobody else did. Instead, some silly head was playing LOUD rock music and it sounded so BAD. I had to mute the game for the next few battles, just to clear my mind lol
There were some random matches which I played with players who opened the mic. The funniest one was when I used dragonite, and that guy (I think he was a kid) kept talking and screaming. But he didn't say bad words. I couldn't stop laughing while playing that match cuz I don't understand what he had said 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The things that I understand was his scream and "Dragonite Dragonite Dragonite" 😂😂😂.
I really want to hook up a soundboard or something to play weird stuff like For Honor attacking grunts or wood working sound effects at the most random occasions
There was one time I was playing as Machamp and the Gengar on my team was talking a lot. I ran away during the Drednaw battle mid game cause I got jumped by 2 people hiding in a bush. I was close to getting knocked out so I tried my best to escape and heal. The Gengar was like "Omg Machoke why the heck are you running away, we could've had the Drednaw if you didn't run away."
I actually do that quite often. My thought process is people might listen or even respond, so that gives my team an advantage over the others... Cause we can communicate, so it would be really helpful if you hear somebody talking through their mike in soloQ, it means that they are doing it for a reason.
one time when i was playing with a friend, there were two other people who both wanted to go jungle (one of them mightve been my friend, but i have bad memory and cant remember). when the match started, they both kept going jungle. i turned on vc and said "hey one of you needs to go top / bottom" and one of them turned on vc and said "F*CK YOUUU" LMFAO
Same think happened to me, but the dude was very angry. Our tyranitar was playing mindlessly so he got so mad, he Start talking like, "tyranitar why are you playing solo, you trash" 😂😂😂
I played pokemon unite with my bf and we actually know their names, but due to panic (usually), we call them diff names: Delphox: firefox ninetale: ice box talonflame: 炸雞 or fried chicken in english crustle:crab decidueye: deci/ biiiirddd trevenant: the tree mamoswine: mamo/ mammoth cinderrace: bunny eldegoss: elde/ eldegod blissey: big mom blastoise: blasto/ turtle sableye: kungpao chicken (due to him making ppl confused with chickens)
