Well I mean if I was playing against him I would definitely think he's cheating and would report him. It's so absurd to think you can now basically get cheats by just spending money in the in-game shop that I probably wouldn't even consider that.
Paying to upgrade items a massive mark on an otherwise really fun game, i'd say I hope they walk it back but there's no way they will now after people are already spending money on it. Microtransactions should be cosmetic only, it'd still make bank
The sad thing is Nintendo is merely licensing its brand Tencent is running the operations and destroying Pokémon’s/Nintendo’s image. (Although it already going downhill due to recent games)
The team only getting two kills because they had to stampede charlie to get him away from their spawn is fucking hilarious, at least two of them uninstalled the game after that
To be fair, literally the only stat in this game is level, so by being 4-6 levels over the entire team means nobody can match him. Of course, the credit card move meant he got that lead much easier, but it’s not ‘impossible’ free to play. The game is still pay to win garbage though.
@@malazan6004 10:52 OMG, this part was the most funniest thing I have ever seen in a Poke'mon Unite 5v5 battle...that Snorlax got all the way back to his base, only to get grabbed at the doorstep & get slammed head 1st to immediate death...was fuckin' hilarious lmfao
I was so confused when my whole team couldn't take down one Snorlax the entire game. We ended the game with only two kills and were trying to figure out how the hell our opponents bodied us with default attacks while we threw unite moves at them. Now I know you can just buy all the upgrades. Pretty lame.
@@gabrielbrock659 usually companies monetise cosmetics as it doesn't really affect gameplay and it's for personal flex. but to monetise gameplay is so stupid and it's gonna turn a lot of players off.
Those held items tokens can be purchased with tickets you get from ranked play and the battle pass and also challenges. I have two items almost leveled up and I havent had to spend a dime
They should make a new pokemon just for this game. Argent, money in french, looking somewhat like a piggy bank or a safe or maybe a old japanese coin that you can only buy with irl cash.

Cool more fun for the rest of us that aren't gamed by a vid displaying an adult thrashing, more than likely, children in a video game. It's a 2% difference having no items versus high level items
Dude don't worry, it really isn't that impactful, like it does give you more power but a very small amount. Also u really think everyone has this much money to wast on this game? You get tons of upgrade points for free just by leveling up and doing missions
i grind this game frequently, due to a recent update anyone playing before mobile release (and i think some mobile players idk) got 3 special tokens that upgrade any item to grade 30 instantly. there is also a quest/task/event that gives 150-160 grade tokens for playing different roles (Support, attacker, speedster- so and so) the pay to win aspect is still apparent but thanks to this update a lot more players can catch up. that or Nintendo saw this video and got spooked
Yeah game isn't pay to win anymore tbh. I am f2p reached masters and I started playing after mobile release. U can pay to get a very small tiny advantage but it doesn't guarantee win anymore.
@@AniGaAG i am aware of what context are in the video. it was posted before said update i had mentioned that helped even out the game. its still p2w but its not insanely difficult to play due to items released and balance changes that constantly affect pokemon added.
@@ghowost0214 My point is more that I find the distinction of "more" or "less" pay-to-win harmful in itself; it does nothing but give such developers and publishers leeway - giving them an inch, and therefore the opportunity to take the mile. In other words: We need to stop lowering the bar on what we'll accept; A being worse doesn't make B any better than it is.
Yet league (their biggest money making game) doesn’t have pay to with stuff. Best fucking player in the world didn’t even use skins. Sadly this gives advantages to the player in pokemon, when i saw the items i instantly knew people would do this. But over time people will have items maxed.
@@xxargonautxx9790 that's because tencent bought league after it was already established, they actually made this one and they have NO concept of restraint when it comes to pay to win.
no no no.. 7.5% attack speed AND +15 AD. like wtf thats fucking ridiculous. from the start of the fucking game too. you literally come out of the gates 1 shotting lanes.
Why would any cash transactions for performance bonuses EVER be put in a MOBA? Let alone one specifically targeting little kids? This is disgusting. If this existed in League of Legends that franchise would die overnight, but the little kiddies won't have the knowledge or context/background to understand how incredibly corrupt this is.
League had runes/rune pages that were p2w in essence because it took a long ass time to grind them, and the flat bonuses especially in jungle were massive early game. The item effect are the main part of the item and u can level 10 everything really easy, and level 20 is comparable to the rune grind
For the people saying "you can just grind" yeah dude, in maybe 2 years I can max out 1 item to level 30 and I'm sure they'll increase the level cap by that point.
Why the heck would you level to 30? The effect is the actual benefit and that stops at 20. It's literally I have 200 hp extra oh wait I died to a combo that did 6000 damage to me don't waste resources
@@killu2later you clearly don't pay any PvP game. That 200 extra hp would be what saves you in multiple situations compared to the occasional 6000 damage you take.
I doubt Nintendo had much to do with the game directly other than making sure there was nothing offensive in there. This is made by TiMi, whose parent company is Tencent(the company that owns League of Legends). But yeah. Don't give your money to Tencent. They're horrible and predatory.
Even if you couldn't spend real money on it, having items upgraded outside of gameplay is just a terrible system. Will only create a wall for new players to overcome that gets worse as the games life goes on, worse than unlocking different characters in other MOBAs.
like I rememebr back with League of Legend's old rune system there was SOME pay to win with ya know...having run pages and innate power just by spawning in over new palyers but like. it was mostly just a few early game stats to make surviving the laning phase easier. this is literally just...pay or dont be new (but still if you pay you're better) to ACTUALLY play the cahracter
@@0MidnighttheDragon0 Agreed. Runes had impact, but way less. And Riot realized it was a shit system years ago. But Pokemon is new - they should have learned
