Cobblestone doesnt insta-break even with Efficiency 5 Netherite Pickaxe and haste II Beacon. Update: You can also use stone generators and i know that. You dont need to tell that to me in the comments. Depends if you want to use cobble or deepslate.
Tip: Instead of lava, use fall damge or dripstone for the killing. Since enchanted diamond Pickaxes are a bit harder to come by, it would be easier if you had a recollection system.
@@parrot_playz4710 you can make a regenerating stone platform, there’s tons of designs, for example the one that ilmango uses in his moss farm (only stone can be converted to moss, not cobblestone). Regular stone can also be insta-mined so I guess it counts as a separate option if you wanna build this
I dont get this, never heard of spleef. Can someone please tell me what it is all about? Is it some online server minigame or sth? What are the rules? Thank you in advance!
Same. I never knew you could make basalt with lava water and soul sand. I thought I knew 99% of Minecraft mechanics but here’s another new mechanic that makes me question if the 99% is more like 90% or even less.
Wow. You're not the first person I've encountered who didn't know that fact. You most certainly won't be the last. I was on a server and I was asking everybody if they knew where a glacier was because of Basalt, and they all responded like I said I was giving free money. Like, dude.
There's some tutorials for self making basalt bridges on RU-vid, but the simple single block ones are super useful for exploring the nether and the end as an alternative to laggy flying machines
I guess you are new to minecraft or haven't been keeping up with update news Its relatable with me lol, when i was a newbie I didn't know so many things and now as ichave stopped playing the game,i am clueless about the small new mechanics they are adding
I remember back in the day id build like a mini game world on my Xbox 360 for when my friends came over so we’d play hop on the world save right before playing spleef then exit without saving to reset the platform I do miss the good old days sometimes
Using some clever Redstone you could even make an adjustable clock so that as the game goes on it regenerates faster or slower depending on your intent.
@MohannedGR I'd say it just changes the strategy. If the floor regenerates faster, it forces players to take greater risks so they can knock the floor out from under their opponent. If it's slower but still regenerating, then you can't just trap a player into taking an impossible jump.
You can easily replace the snow or whatever material with a command block and if you are using command blocks then it would be very easy to add haste 255 and be able to insta mine any block other than bedrock, etc. If its in a survival world just use a cobble or stone generator which are way easier to make than basalt generators. Also pistons have a push limit which limits the size of the arena.
Let me clarify for all the "geniuses" in the comments: No, you can't insta-mine cobblestone with eff 5 pickaxe and with haste 2, but you can insta-mine stone. Yes, for some reason Notch desided that cobble should be more durable than regular stone, and that ruins the insta-mine, and its still present till this day. Yes, you can make a stone generator instead of basalt. Lava on top of water turns water into stone, even if it is not a full block. Ages old thing. Command blocks and commands are irrelevant since someone would want to built auto regenerating spleef in no cheats survival. You are probably the type of guy to play with save inventory on.
I think the reason you cant intsamine cobblestone, is your much more likely to actually build with it. so you don't accidently destroy your house in one click. And this video got over a million views on TikTok and you are legit the FIRST PERSON to actually understand its for survival
@@_gerg cobble was added way before potion effects and enchantments, so you couldn't instamine it anyway, ig its a coincidence that cobble can't be instamined even with eff 5 and haste 2
Revoking my like for that comment on keep inventory. It gets more necessary the higher your difficulty, and I'd rather not spend 40 replacing my tools every time I die. You probably call people lazy for using Mending. Smart comment otherwise.
@@cyr0_gd because minecraft is a whole ass game where you can do anything. The fact you can do something gives you a reason to do it, even if it's not helpfull in any way + It's fun :v
@@TheActualKnives "just because you can do something gives you a reason to do it" that's not a good reason, i can log on some random kid's server and obliterate it but that doesn't mean i should do it. i don't play that game now but not gonna lie, vanilla minecraft is the most boring aspect of the game, it's only good when you clueless on what to do anyways whatever floats your boat i guess.
@@cyr0_gdVanilla Minecraft is the most boring aspect of the game, that is true in terms of "most" considering mods and servers and plugins make the experience a hell of a lot better. Nonetheless, "just because you can do something gives you a reason to do it" is a statement about your imagination and creativity. You're not supposed to take that statement in a literal sense, I have fingers that I CAN use to gauge someone's eyeballs or money to buy some useless expensive shit, that does not mean I would do it. That is not what the guy's statement is about. Think of it like those people who build mega structures, played on the same world for years and building new structures. They build something because they can do it, they have the creativity, the idea, and the time to do so.
I did this on an smp i played on about 4 years ago! Its a ton of fun. I used stone generators, so coming up with all the redstone was an interesting challenge
In fact he didn't even have this idea of regenerating basalt. Two years ago it was built on rayswork's protosky server and they said it was a player name Aada who got the idea
A great idea! But while breaking snow blocks you get snow balls and with that and a mod you can deal knock back with snow balls, which will be more challenging for the opponent and you too.
There is one version of spleef made in hermitcraft where instead you break the platform, you throw snow ball on the drip leaf which make other player fall while avoiding themself fall on the drip leaf they standing on. Plus drip leaf self regenerate and back to platform in few second
Ye xd like on survival ok but on survival but still xd It hard to do i do once open stargate portal and that was pain but it still better and you dont need even half of work i need do
@@ultra5288if you wanna play spleef, join an actual server. If you want spleef on your survival world for whatever reason, why half-ass it with basalt instead of snow? You probably have all the time in the world anyway
There's literally an entire gamemode based off of spleef in the console edition version of Minecraft. It has the most content on the Wii-U specifically
I literally just finished a machine I called Enic that uses movable basalt generators to completely cover the sky :) Nice to see it used for good as well
Hmm. What if it was constantly regenerating during the game? Then have TNT dispensers fall randomly on the top layer. That would force you to abandon the first few layers. The dispensers would be timed to slowly overtake the regeneration rate, forcing you to go lower and lower as the arena crumbles around you. Of course you and the opponent would both be mining stuff out to so it would make for a decently exciting game. Fighting, jumping, and running around while the arena is in a state of constant destruction and creation sounds like a blast.
This is a great idea, but what if the layers were close enough to each other so you can get broken down from beneath or have a timer on the generator so that I doesn’t make it impossible to win.
@@jian18excel49 it cannot be insta mined on java without haste 3 which is not possible in vanilla(the only reason you would make this anyways), however on bedrock its possible
