Arnel, just a quick question. You said if my object is a pronoun it must go in the middle. But what about, for example, get over it or I already got over him? Many thanks in advance.
@ArnelsEverydayEnglish
@ArnelsEverydayEnglish 5 часов назад
That's such a good question Leo. That rule only applies to separable phrasal verbs. So because "get over" cannot be separated, the object (including) pronouns must go after it. I should have mentioned this in the lesson! I hope this clarifies things :)

I wish I could release a video every week. But, I have to write, film and edit each lesson which takes at least two weeks. :)

I got 14 right. Thanks for noting differences between speaking formally versus informally and drawing attention to the different example of present simple versus present cointinuous tense. Thanks for illustrating the art of speaking creatively.

Arnel are across and across from interchangable i'm always confused
@ArnelsEverydayEnglish
@ArnelsEverydayEnglish 5 часов назад
That's a good question Tahezim. Those two can easily be confused. Usually with "across" we mean "moving from one side to the other": I walked across the bridge. He threw the paper ball across the room. "Across from" means "one thing is opposite the other thing": David sat across from me. Martha lives across from me. The elevators are across from the reception desk. I hope this helps!
