Fender Bassman Silverface 50W. This amp can do everthing. In the first part i use this amp clean with some pedals to make it crunchy or with a fuzz for soloing. There will be more to come.
please like, share and comment. I appreciate that very much.
greets
Helmut

Still have my 72 baseman with cab. Bought it slightly used my senior year in high school. 1974 Wanted a twin reverb like our highschool band room had but scratching up the money was beyond my reach. Great clear channel player.

I've never seen one that said "EXPORT AMP" on it - interesting! I have a late 1967 blackface with the drip edge - which is usually only found on silverface, so this must be a transition model. Mine has a master volume installed on the back, so it can be used at lower volumes. The bass channel is modified to have more mids like a Marshall or tweed, the normal channel is stock. I had always wanted a bassman head........cheers!

Just a few questions if you don’t mind… 1. What kind of pickups are you using? 2. What kind of speakers are you using? 3. What settings on the King Tone are you using? Because this all sounded amazing! haha😅

Always like the tunes you play, do you sell any album or song of your own? I think guys like you and Johan Segeborn have very good riffs and taste for tone, and would be successful in reviving the vintage rock music discography ;) Very pleased to hear that Bassman, I look forward to getting one someday. Love the strat tone, especially the neck, is there any particular set of pickups that you would recommend to take a Squier to the next level ? Cheers

This sounds really good. I had a 100 watt silver faced bassman when I lived in Austin that I played in clubs and did a little touring with. I really missed that amp. It had some magic. I also used a Marshall 4x12, but with v30’s. What kind of pickups are you using? You’re really playing with great tone and style. Nice!

Hi I have just acquired one of these, is the amp demoed here as stock? I’m trying to determine exactly what circuit it has. I got mine with the accompanying 2x15” speaker cab!😳

@@Biblrocks Thanks for the reply mate, I think has been untouched from factory, it originally had a 3-pin South Africa plug on and the place I got it from (furniture removal place) put a 3-pin UK fused plug on it. When I got it home and turned it on, it stayed on for about 15 seconds then the slow blo 2A fuse blew. I think maybe the fused plug is why the occurred… but the amp is so clean and has all original RCA tubes. I am going to put a new 2A fuse and the original SA plug back on and use a UK adapter, I am a little bit worried about the death cap though… Was your amp modded for the death cap or do you think I should be ok?

@twintriode

OK lets see I'm going to buy a one sound Fender tube amp to front end transistor distortion. That was fine when I could buy black panels for $150 and silvers for $75, but ultimately I don't like pedals, and without pedals the Bassman is not that great of an amp to me. In fact, out of all of the Fender's I've had ('66 Super Reverb, countless Bassman, a 90-something Vibroverb RI, and a 69 Bandmaster Reverb) my '69 Bandmaster Reverb was the best, but only for clean tones. For me I like just the guitar, amp, and volume and tone controls. No pedal color needed.

The longer CBS owned Fender, the higher the headroom got...does your bassman 50 have a master volume? Also, at this point many of the specimens you'll come across in the wild have been modified...yours having alot of headroom may be a good thing in that it's likely original or close to it...also, you could try bridging the channels at the inputs with a patch cable for more gain
