I've learned some very important tips since doing this!! shared below 🫶🏼 💜 make sure your image is white balanced. phone cameras add a warm tint to your images (I tried it again and got an autumn palette for example) 💜 your overtones are different from your undertones! so chatGPT might say you’re a warm palette when you’re not 💜 find your undertones by looking at your veins on your wrist: blue/purple veins = cool undertones. green veins = warm undertones. green/blue veins = neutral. share your undertones with chatgpt to make it more accurate! 💜 if the veins trick doesn’t work for you, try the gold vs silver trick. If you look better in silver jewelry you have cool undertones. If you look better in gold jewelry you have warm undertones. 💜 you can grab a range of different colors from your skin and give those by saying my skin ranges from [insert code], [insert code], and [insert code] 💜 there's a site that can do this for you! it's called colorwise.me (this one says I’m a winter palette) subscribe to join me on this color analysis journey!!
Your veins don’t always determine your undertone. The only way to determine your season is to drape different colours in natural light without makeup on. You also need to cover your hair if it’s dyed.
it’s so fun!! I def wouldn’t trust it entirely, but regardless fun to do 🫶🏼 I found out I took my selfie wrong and am definitely not a spring but I’ll post another short on that entire update lol
yeah but take into account the lighting and environment where the picture was taken, the accuracy may be different with different pictures depending on settings
Yup, I tried it with various different natural-lighting photos of myself and got different results each time. It also told me I'm a warm tone and not suited for magenta, but magenta is literally my best color and I get compliments every time I wear it.
My girl already made it clear in the beginning " take photo in natural lighting" now if you wanna do it with ur snap amd then the results aren't as u pleased that's ur problem.
she's using hex, the color system designed strictly for display screens, to define color of something irl. it's not going to work. full stop. color analysis consultants use fabrics to determine the correct shades. the proper way to approach this would be using pantone color system specifically for textiles (using pantone tcx, she ain't "spring girly"). however, the web safe hex to pantone conversion won't be perfect either, because you're ultimately still assessing colors on screen; if her device is running "comfort mode" or any other setting, the color choices wont be anywhere near true to life, which basically throws the accuracy of analysis into doubt. /ackchyually
I did this with multiple pictures and chose highlights, midtones, shadows etc. for each thing. Like for my skin I did that and also added my natural blush and freckles just in case. I had at least 2 colors for all of my features on every picture and I got soft autumn each time. If you’re worried about if the results will get skewed, try using a new chat every time so it doesn’t “remember” the last result. It’s also good to use pictures with a neutral background. When you get it done professionally, they don’t change the background every time. Just the color of the fabric they are holding up. I had different colored shirts in my pictures and still got the same results. Now, I’m not 100% sure it works, but these are colors that do look gorgeous on me and I’ve been told they look very flattering. I think this is meant to give you more of an idea of if you’re cool or warm toned first, and it’s totally fine to be skeptical! Especially since chat GPT isn’t designed for this purpose
@@Thewhiteandorangeomg tyyy I knew something was up when I recomended me colors that I don’t look good in Edit: I just edited my color analysis and it’s saying I’m a soft autumn which feels more accurate
Okay but i have to add one more step: blend that colors… sometimes that pen picks only one pixel and it for sure will be immaculate. What i would suggest go in some editing apps and blend skin area into each other to make one even color from your skin to make it more accurate
cool idea but unfortunately thats not the colour of your skin. its the colour of that specific pixel from a photo of yourself. its not the same sadly. if you moved the dropper even a bit you would get a different colour
i'm sorry but how is that different from skin color? the pixel color is what we percieve as well. Its not different. If we ask a person to tell the color of another person's skin, how else would they do it? This looks like a reasonable method to me.
I completely agree with some of the other comments. There's no way that a program can tell you what season you are. I used to do color drapings and she is definitely a winter!
@@marlena. Springs are extremely rare and they have blonde hair and light eyes. Goldie hawn is an example of a spring. They are the only ones that can get away with wearing yellow!
This is very unreliable since most people get autumn... you are definitely a dark winter or a dark autumn, you have way too much contrast and darkness for a spring :I
Yeah well it doesn’t work. I am a light spring and chat gpt said I’m an autumn. So no, if you really want correct results, spend that money and go ask the professional, it’s worth it and pretty cheap in Korea.
Wonderful! I always thought I was a fall person, but I had to give this a try and not only was I correct, but apparently my boyfriend is also! Looks like we’ll be color coordinating some of our clothing to match each other lol 🤣 Overall, very fantastic idea and I’m so glad you shared this with us all!
The surface colour of your skin won’t tell you your undertone, which is what the seasonal colour system is based on. So there’s no way ChatGPT can analyse you correctly with the information you gave it. It’s impossible to type yourself without draping and comparing the effect drapes of different seasons have on your skin. Eventually there might be an AI that can be taught enough about colour theory that you could then show it multiple drape images and it would determine the most harmonious colours for you. But we aren’t there yet.
Yeah I’d say if you just want to do it for fun this works but people forget how complex people with undertones and other aspects, so you aren’t actually getting a good view of analysis. The reason is seeing the colors on you gives a genuine visual reference to what is brought out and taken away- for example under eye shadows which isn’t going to be see by taking a pixel from your forehead
Yeah, all the colours it provided me with give me the ick for some reason. And I've only ever warn one of those colours (my friend gifted me a blouse on my birthday) and I wore it that one time and I looked 15 years older all of a sudden. So, no, I won't be taking advice from chat gpt, not for now.
That’s what I got It's difficult to determine your seasonal palette solely based on these color codes as there are multiple factors involved in determining a person's seasonal color analysis, including undertones, contrast level, and personal preferences. It's usually best to consult with a professional color analyst or stylist who can assess your colors in person.
Definitely a winter. Your intuition was correct in suspecting you are a bright season, but you might be stumped when it comes to your undertone. You seem to be cool-toned, in that the yellow undertones of spring make you look slightly muddier, blurry and greenish, and the blue undertones of winter providing clarity and freshness to your face!
@@somethingunusual8456 ur right they definitely wouldn’t ! its really interesting how a lot of people take chatgpt as fact even though they never claim to give the truth, just answering something that LOOKS like it fits, enough to convince someone who doesn’t really understand what AI is.
@@somethingunusual8456You don't even have to try that. You can reroll results and see that you get different replies. There is always an element of weighted randomness with any generational AI (bc otherwise, every person would get the same result with the same wording). The AI also only knows what it has scraped information from which inevitably will include a lot of incorrect information or false assumptions. So, if it happens to pull randomly from one of those incorrect sources, or if most of the information it scraped was incorrect, then it will give incorrect info.
It can still be wrong, be careful! Especially if the light source is not neutral or the white balance of the camera is not correct (which happens very often). If you want accurate results, you need a gray card and a light source that is completely neutral. The sun can be too warm, when it is setting or shining too strong. Then you need to blend the colors, because if you pick some pixels it could be more warm/cold pixels and not the general tone. PLUS ChatGPT is also a little bidch - if you ad many different color codes of your skin and ask him "Oh, could I also be a Fall?" he says: "Yes! Of course..." Then you ask "Could I also be a Summer?" and he says: "Sure!". So he basically says you could be any color season lol.
The relationship between how we'd perceive your skin tone and what the hex-color-code is would COMPLETELY depend on lighting, the camera, and so on... Remember... THE DRESS?
The hex color wouldn't change in perspective to the colors around it, just the lightning would change your skin tone hex. Have you seen the lighter gray/darker gray illusions?
Hi Sharon I’ve commented a few things today and I seriously need help idk if I should comment it again or not but yeah I’m a fourteen year old virgin and I haven’t had my period in a month I am scared because my mom does not trust me at all and she will think I got pregnant. I also am scared to go to a doctor and then look at my area and see if something is torn like to see if my cherry is popped, but I use tampons and my flow is heavy so I use the largest size and (tw/tmi: I’m really small and tiny) so I’m scared it tore smth but idk what to do bc it’s been a month since I’ve gotten my period please help 😭
I haven’t done the test yet cause it is dark rn where I live, but when I do it I will post my results! Pretty sure I am a summer palette, but will check. Edit: according to ChatGPT, I am a warm autumn! Honestly I don’t think I got the best samples, orange and mustard yellow don’t look good on me.
@@Angelxxxdust hi madi…look I get that your mom is strict but that’s okay…she is the best person to help you right now and talking to her is a good idea, also, please don’t be afraid to go to a doctor. They have seen so much worse and it’s their job okay? You are fine and you’ll be great. I’m here for you❤️
@@Hi-rw8vr this method is not for summers. I am a very obvious summer and I got a spring. Basically - it will classify any healthy human skin as warm toned and is fairly ignorant of contrast so summer is the result it never gives. Look at the comments, practically nobody has summer
Professional color analyst here! 🙅♀️PLEASE DO NOT follow this advice! I did my own quick test and she’s definitely not a spring. Chat gpt along with other AI are not accurate. Color analysis is done by observing the effect on the skin when a color is placed next to the face. One pixel of skin, hair and eye color does not suffice. Please, let a professional help you! We love doing it and are trained and experienced. It is an investment that in the end will save you time and money.
I did it with gemini AI and its replied by saying that its not possible to definitely undermine my seasonal colour just by knowing hair, eye, skin tone in hex codes but it did provided me with some general guidance and resources to help me figure it out its by gabriella arruda website
@@rtxf Weeeellllll … Some colors will, depending on undertones, values, hues, etc., look different on different people. I should know because I draw (mostly hobby but been doing it for years now). For an example, when drawing people with different skin tones, I would color the eyeballs of a pale person with white (because obviously), but I use an off-greyish tone for a darker character (white tends to look too bright to be natural). When I use the same color I used for my darker character on my pale character, the eye will look obvious grey (probably not the color of an eyeball). We all eventually learn. I used to use colors that looked too greyish and muted, but switched to a brighter palette. Coloring something (flat colors or shading, but mostly talking flats to go with fashion) can be impacted by the color values used. That also goes in real life. I don’t tend to use certain colors on me because they tend to make me look more yellow. I tend to gravitate towards jewel-tones colors as a result. But you can otherwise do whatever you want. (I also like pastels too) I’m just letting you know that relative color is a thing. Optical illusions probably display the concept of relative color the best.
@@rtxfYou can't be serious about a photo, taken within the specifications of the phone's camera model, under a goddamn awful, from a specific area of their face. Illiterate people are the reason why artists will never die down but at the same can not prosper, y'all cannot appreciate knowledge and skill that isn't "hehe, I want robot wife".
@@maiamystiathere's an app, "diamond" smth it has a pink diamond logo. You can test yourself on the app, it's better to test and try out with your own eyes than just listen to regurgitated text. Besides, color analysis shouldn't be that expensive, it may depend on the place.
A way to take this a step further is to ask chat gpt what type of clothes will flatter your body type. You will have to give measurements of your busy, waist, hip, inseam and your overall height.
Dark hair as a child with light skin - Winter Blond hair as a child changed to brown with age and light skin - Summer Dark hair as a child and darker skin tone - Autumn Blonde/red hair as a child and blond/red as an adult with fair skin - Spring
Replying so it helps someone else but you can do it on Android. 1. Click the ellipsis 2. Click the emoji face 3. Click the pencil 4. Click the colour dropper and do your colour selection on your picture. 5. Go back to the pencil but this time click the 4 square colour block option and the hex colour is in there.
1. How do we know this is accurate 2. Skin tone, eye, and hair color vary drastically even inches apart. Would this just change wildly based on where you chose to sample from?
They don't. It's just a language model. people just use it for everything and then pretend it's right because they don't understand how AI works. One pixel of the surface of your skin is not going to show you your general skin undertone. And basically everyone in the comments who has a bit of knowledge about color seasons agrees that she is not a spring.
its just that my phone camera isn't good so it makes my skin look darker and warmer than what it actually is :') but heres what I have(as the colors) hand : C6A294,face : EAC9B6, eye : 130B06,hair : 322119. But whats funny is that when I asked the assistant,it said fall which is kinda true since my asian mom said I looked good in red bur based off of what I've seen looking in the mirror,I look horrible with green and yellow(which are in the fall pallete) and look best in black, white, blue, pink and purple which I think is in the winter pallete, and im also cool-toned so idk :/
I took my natural root color!! but tbh if you have different colors I’d take the hex code of both of them and be like “my natural hair color is [insert color] but it’s currently dyed [insert code] and [insert code]”
Okay but ChatGPT is completely gas lighting you. The tool is not capable of actually understanding what those colours truly are. It is just text prediction.
This is not accurate. While our eyes are very good at judging what's white under different light sources, digital cameras (specially iPhones) often have difficulty in reproducing the colors accurately, resulting in orange, yellow, blue or even green color casts. Even under "Natural lighting" the phone just processes the image and the colors the exact same way. Don't spread misleading information.
Yeah you're a winter girl. High contrast doesn't exist with Spring, which is part of the typing process and a trait you have with your cooler under tone. Less bright light colors and more dark rich hues for you 💕
@Maydenne No, Springs + are BRIGHT but light so they are medium-high contrast. They're literally the highest contrast of the 2 warm groups. Autumns are the muted warm grouping.
People be forgetting that ChatGPT is just a fancy text predictor, it doesn’t actually understand anything. Also, color picking a pixel is not the same as getting an actual color. That is deadass red, that color you picked is literally red/pink, I’m not gonna lie, you don’t look very red or pink to me.
I did this, and it worked! I always thought I looked best in warm earthy tones, and I was correct! I was happy to hear that I was using colors that match my complexion.
It' s all about how the color of the actual drape bounces *natural daylight* to your skin, a physical phenomenon. It' s as impossible as getting a massage done by ChatGPT😅
Would be great if your skin wasn’t made up of hundreds if not thousands of colours. Just look at a photo up close to see how each pixel is just a little bit different. Some pixels will be warm, others cool. I’ve not tried it, but you could get wildly different results depending on the photo, it’s lighting and of course which pixel you click on.
How is that smart? ChatGPT is a language model. It doesn't know anything about typing people. smh people really need to learn how AI works. One pixel of the surface of your skin is not going to show you your general skin undertone. And basically everyone in the comments who has a bit of knowledge about color seasons agrees that she is not a spring.
this is not accurate at all lol 1 pixel from a PICTURE on a phone (which distorts colors even if u don’t see it) and it’s just one spot of your skin that could be getting more/less lighting, could be under a small crevice like that is not the actual color of your skin your skin isn’t a specific color on the color wheel it’s your melanin that does not match the exact same everywhere and it’s not 1 single color
Send the same prompt with the same hex codes values to chatgpt in different conversations and it'll output completely different answers proving you guys just got gas lighted by a robot
Thats cute. But what you dont know is that pictures and lighting change colors and shading. And different part of your face have different colors too. Its cool but i wouldnt say its very accurate.
This isn't gonna be accurate for some people. Chatgpt isn't know it all magic tech no, its a chat bots that trained with so many text so that it can recreate conversation on its own. Its not fact backed its just try to come up with an answer based on the text they fed in to (like how we gained new vocab as we grew up and read more books). Please consider this before believing anything chatgpt said
not only environment is relevant to colors you wear and have, chat gpt, as any AI, takes text from other people. It's got a high chance to get it wrong. Is not really intelligent, if you think about it.
You can also take a picture of yourself with natural lighting and put it in chatgpt and say "pretend you are a professional color consultant. Please analyze my photo and give me my personal color analysis" thats how i found out for me hope this also helps ☺
The chat GPT said you were spring but in what you wrote above it said you got an autumn palette when you did it with your phone white balanced then a little bit further down you tried a different site and got winter! So this is just as confusing as guessing normally?!
It didn't work though, it told me I was autumn and I paid a professional and they told me I'm Light Spring. And yes I did use a photo in natural lighting
I don’t think this is super accurate. Apparently I have a lot of different colors in my skin tone and eyes. It took forever to pinpoint which ones were closest to my overall colors and then the program told me that it couldn’t pinpoint it and I would need to consult a professional lol!! At the very least I did get info on some good colors I could wear
yes because everyone’s skin has a set hexadecimal value and it’s definitely completely accurate with your cameras exposure settings and white balance yep ok good to know
All fun and games until you realize your eyes hair and skin are made up of millions of different shades and colors and GPT can only guess based off basic color theory, also you wouldn’t even be able to pick out what you want in terms of colors and pallets unless you want to buy all complimentary and matching colors and try them all individually
Ok i’ve been trying this the whole day, this is not reliable as everyone been saying. I changed some of the wording and it went from saying i’m a warm tone to I got a cool tone
I would also add your natural lip color or colors depending if you have two toned lips or not it definitely helps when you ask for blush and lipstick shades
I did some testing, and it is really unreasonable. It puts everyone as autumn or spring I even did the whole list of seasons "In terms of warm spring, clear spring, light spring, light summer, soft summer, cool summer, deep winter, clear winter, cool winter, warm autumn, soft autumn, or deep autumn what am I?" To see if maybe it was the source, results changed for a few ppl from soft autumn to warm spring
No this will not work. Color analysis needs to be done without your hair color involved at all. To tell chat gpt your hair color means it wont be a proper color analysis
Seeing as real color analysis often recommends hair colors, I assume color analysis has little to do with your hair color, eye color, etc. Skin tone is probably the only one that ultimately matters. Color analysis takes into account your facial features first to analyze what styles would enhance certain features. Then your skin tone is factored in so that the colors you wear don’t clash with the one color feature you can’t change(unless you enjoy skin cancer). Just because your color palette is technically harmonious, those colors don’t always suit your facial features and ultimately look good.
I'm pretty sure you can just upload images directly and have it analyze from that, but then again ai just kinda makes up vague information that sounds like it makes sense so it's not reliable, i can start a new chat ask the same information and get a different analysis every time.
Loved this so much!! But did you know you can look up what each color is named, like Hemlock green or Finlandia?? That’s the colors of my eyes! BEST BDAY GIFT EVER❤😅
