That vehicle is a M-35 series 2.5 ton cargo truck. Used in US military from 1950s - late 1990s. Manual transmission, 6x6 off road capable and multi-fuel (diesel, JP8, gas, mixture of all). I managed these in my early days as a Marine officer. Fun to drive, super loud and smoked like a forest fire.
@HotshotMacc I always keep my PPE in my truck at all times even my gloves are high viz and always have them on lol😎That’s a nice little run there ! Nice load too 💪
I got it all in my truck too bro but I was just moving too quick 😤 Definitely need some high viz gloves 💯 . Where you from bro we gonna have to meet up one day!
I’m in Richmond in the 99/ Harlem area. Definitely need to meet up for sure! I’m alittle bummed out from last weeks runs. I actually lost my gloves 🤦♂️ left them on the back of the trailer and drove off… then I made a little booboo on my personal enclosed trailer 😢
If you had a snatchblock (special pulley for winching that doubles the capacity of any winch) you couldve went from 12k to 24k on your winch no wrecker needed - Hotshot shorty Edit: you still wouldve needed wrecker nvm i see lol but once its behind you could winch with snatchblock
A Snatch Block, an Aircraft Loadmasters Friend in deed!!! I also use them in my hot shot set up. You can snake the line to also triple the capacity if ever needed. Just go slow!!! Great video Brother! Been following you and your better half since your start. I’ve been running now since 2019 and going strong on the West Coast covering 11 Western. Take care and be safe out there!!!
Hey big fan here man I've been watching y'alls journey for a while now I have a couple questions man any chance that y'all help people out to get their non CDL hot shot company going I just recently got my LLC fixing to get a truck and a trailer I'm new to this so I'm guessing next step after truck is applying for dot and authority? Id love to get some guidance
Question regarding non cdl GVWR. So I have a 04 Duramax that I own out right. From what I always herd on RU-vid that I guess their not good for hotshot but I plan to start with it and get by for the time being so I can buy a new ram. My GVWR question is if my Duramax gvwr is….. GVWR 9200 lb GVWR FRT 4670 lb GVWR RR 6084 lb Can I still do non cdl hotshot if my gvwr is 9200?
Hey bro, so you can still do it with your truck to start, might have a disadvantage of the weight you can scale depending on the type of trailer you get. As long as you don’t exceed 26k in rating and in weight combined.
Hey wassup Macc. Hope you're doing well my brother. Wanted yo know how many pickup trucks could you fit on your 32ft gooseneck when you were running non cdl?
