I've AVOIDED This REQUEST for DECADES - NO HERO Challenge - Grubby 

After all the hard training in DOTA, Grubby has learned that the best hero is himself.

This is an incredible advantage, not having that annoying Hero icon left top side of screen. Imagine - how many secret dwarves, workers, goblin sappers or towers have been hiding there!

12:25 it might seem advantageous to attack without warning but surprisingly it is actually better strategically for the aggressors to _declare_ their assault openly. For starters, the declaration isn't for the sole purpose of informing the enemy. It's to destabilize the region. Yes there is the effect of causing panic that the local power has to quell but mainly it mainly serves the purpose of garnering potential allies in the region with grievances towards the current power. joining an invading force might allow them to bargain with the invaders to give them land from their rivals in exchange with providing the invading force with tactical assets like intel, maps, and good supply routes in addition to possibly levying their own armies and resources to the cause. Secondly, if you don't declare war then it could cause confusion amongst your own allies. From their perspective there is rumours of you attacking said country but they are unsure if they are true. Maybe they think you are attacking ANY neighbour and they then raise an army to meet yours. Maybe they have allies in the country your warring with and go to help them without realizing they are fighting you at first. This can all be avoided if you declare your intentions formally and allow your allies to presumably join the side they trust, which is you, over the enemy.

It's safe to say that some of the damage was soaked up by the zeppelins while the knights and Griffins did the damage while letting the tanks do their job getting the buildings. I really do enjoy these videos.

Now think of applying the lessons learned in this game to one where you actually make a hero, but you're going for the long game in which one you select (one that might be only okay in the early game but gets really good later), and you keep them hidden as long as you can.

My favorite ne hero strat was vs UD vs NE close spawn on TR. Straight t2 gargs. the other great one is of course the no hero human vs ne tower rush on echo isle. Good stuff

u coulda towered down ramp from the red expo and use that to creep it by dragging them into it. then u also have towers leftover to hold that "tactical" position

This is actually a very interesting and sensible request, which makes more sense if you take it more seriously and if your opponent is not completely inexperienced. Axslav used to have an account called Lvl50NoHero, where he played some really cool games against skilled opponents, and managed to win in creative and unexpected ways. You can do this request more justice if you put your mind to it.

Hey Grubby, that was a good one. Very few ever try playing without Heroes, It seems like there could be a viable strat here as long as you remain deceitful and using overwhelming amounts of units with upgrades. I saw you destroying the items, I thought the same thing, and then you mentioned selling the items which would have been extremely beneficial. I didn't see if you got the upgrade for workers to pick up items or not, why didn't you pick them up and sell them for gold to get more units? kind regards, Josh

I wish there was a selective option in the menu, so even the opponent and the AI plays with no hero. It could even be a separate category in e-tournaments.

Grubby makes his bases so nice and clean with the perfect gaps in between buildings. My base always looks like a mess.

Instead of destroying items, you could've gotten the backpack upgrade and sold them for extra gold. Ah, you remembered that on your own, and discarded the idea, lol.
