I got Arrowhead on my Rapid Hit/Headseeker and Polygonal on the second Barrel option, but I would’ve preferred Fluted. I crafted my Disparity with Fluted a few seasons ago and that thing gave me a lot of confidence
And I've been telling myself it's "cope" since my best roll is fluted, ricochet, MT and HS, with a handling MW. It's not "thee" god roll, but I call it my demigod roll. Lol.
@@LittleShySky The dex mods are multipliers. So the higher your base handling, the more effect you get from the dex mods. And I’m pretty sure dex mods and other ones are suuuper buggy right now where they just don’t work at all. Wallah posted a video explaining it.
One of my all time favorite weapons in all of destiny. Absolutely adore the messenger. Nearly lost my mind grinding for my god rolls in trials but was worth it
I wasn't able to get an adept, but i got a couple normals from engrams. Ive landed on Perpetual Motion, Headseeker with ricochet and Chambered compensator. A quick access sling to help with ready. I didnt do much but it felt clean for one to just get bearings with. Hopefully a better roll in the future.
If you don't have this, I highly recommend Vigilance Wing. It wrecks, and because your teammates drop like flies during normal crucible, you are constantly getting healed.
I was curious to try it.. I am kind of hesitant to use perks that require kills now a days. SBMM and trials have pushed my weapon rolls to be more about consistency in duels
@@IFrostBolt id honestly give it a try if you have one sitting in your vault. I’m a controller user and I’m using a arrow head break, ricochet, moving target and encore/kill clip roll and it just feels nice. Even if this gun kicks like a mule on controller but ima tell you encore is fantastic with it.
My very first flawless ever was this weekend. Managed to get richochet/high cal, perpetual and headseeker/desperado with a handling master work. STOKED
Honestly I love it, but the high impact pulse rifles feel like they lack differentiation between all pulse rifle archetype. Lightweights and standard 450s are strong right now. Adaptives are good too, but are in a difficult spot when it comes to ranged engagements of other pulse rifles. A very curious meta that we are in. How oppressive can you be?
I don't even understand what you're saying. Your comment is nonsensical or I am just misunderstanding. Are you implying that high impacts are inferior to the others somehow? Because that's quite literally the opposite of the reality we live in. Lightweights are not strong right now whatsoever. They have a slower ttk, don't peek shot as well, and usually cap out at low to mid 30s (in meters). Aggressive 4 bursts are solid, but are worse at peek shotting and have a slightly slower ttk. Once again, inferior to 340s. 390 adaptives are similarly poor. Slow TTKs without damage perks, and are used by people not confident enough in their primary shot to the extent that they prefer consistency over optimality. 340s are indeed oppressive at all the high levels of crucible
I was finally able to hop into this morning for my adept messenger because I was busy all weekend. Got to win 6, and lost twice to a cheater sitting in his spawn shooting me through walls with jotuun lol. Then I ran out of time 😢
100% with you on moving target/headseeker, but didn't manage to get this weekend. My perpetual/ headseeker felt really nice, too, with the bump to handling and stability being pretty free and noticeable. The editor really got me with the laugh away the pain meme😅😅😅
The base recoil direction on this thing kinda sucks, you either hope to roll Arrowhead Brake, or just use a counter balance mod, which sucks cause I can't use an adept mod in that case.
I feel like messenger works just aswell without damage perks, for example a rapid hit or moving target/keep away roll secures very consistent two bursts for me
my best adept was perpetual keep away, its actually been incredibly good, the accuracy keep away gives is pretty amazing, when I'm crispy its the most consistent 2 burst kills I've ever had
Moving target is invaluable on this. ESP if not on hunter. Agh frames suffer a lot from strafing and you can’t strafe effectively anyway. Moving target kind of fixes that. You can’t duel standing still anyway.
My personal god roll is high stability with moving target and headseeker (fix the handling with Ophidians). It's super sticky with all that bonus aim assist and the higher stability means that your accuracy cone growth is reduced and your bullets stay on target better making your aim assist more effective!
a little late but i have a moving target head seeker ( very solid) but another roll i got was a rapid hit keep away and it felt so buttery once i got rapid hit proc’d plus the keep away buff + it being adept with all those stat boost. it felt very strong
First time for me to experience The messenger(adept) I am loving it so far I got a perpetual motion/headseeker and helped me to go flawless a second time. My favorite pulse for sure.
I don’t have a messenger with rapid hit yet, but I need one with keep away and kill clip. Only perks I want for it. Other than that I prefer moving target then perpetual motion. Killing wind keep away would be a great roll to have too got disjunction lol.

Great Gameplay Frost! I was trying Moving Target Headseeker and it was decent but when I put my Rapid Hit Kill Clip roll on, it was melting players like butter. Its so nice when you get those chain kills with Kill Clip active and even though I'm on console, Rapid Hit feels much cleaner to use
Messenger was my favorite gun in D1 so when they brought it back in chosen I knew I had to get a god roll. Been using moving target headseeker since then and that was two years ago. I can also switch headseeker for celerity
I got myself a couple god rolls one being headseeker moving target and the other being outlaw headseeker both having range masterwork and both having 100 range
Definitely didn’t get 35 but somewhere between 12-15 adepts for me. Only one dropped with headseeker sadly but it’s first column perk was offhand strike or some other bad perk. Best I could get was moving target and keep away.
Deffo headseaker moving target. If you can hit 70 stability on controller the gun is a laser anyway. Even more so on mnk. Rapid hit is a waste unless decking it out with range which isnt needed. Edit- also run fluted if get the chance it makes it feel so much snapier. 50 handling is the sweetspot on every weapon other then snipers imo
I really wanted to make Keep Away work because I have it on my Phyllotactic Spiral, but Headseeker feels much better for dueling and easier kills in Trials or a 3v3 setting.
Almost the same I have but with flared mag and stability mw but I put range mod since the stability goes up to 89 so I hardly notice the weapon direction recoil
the one kill with desperado justified what I thought about the perk. I didn't waste my time, nor yours by continuing to use it. Kill clip has been considered the best option ever since desperado got nerfed. I tried it, out of curiosity. I didn't have the chance to clarify and go into my thoughts more. Hope that makes sense!
I did as much as I could to go flawless this weekend but I had such a hard time with my teammates this weekend. I could only get the normal one this weekend
Got 1 roll worth anything. Hammer forged, ricochet, perpetual, and the option of keep away or desperado. With a range masterwork. Keep away feels better than desperado. And it has 90 range even when I put +10 stability mod. I think it’s to much range but unless I’m fighting a graviton, I out gun most other pulses.
You should be outgunning Gravitons, too. It has a higher ttk. I made it a mission to shit on as many Gravitons as possible this weekend... ...I did a damn good job of it. Lol. 1:39 1:41 1:42
Went flawless with my old faithful. New Purpose w/ hammer,ricochet, perpetual and desperado. Reload MW + bitterspite let’s me get to desperado fast. I love out dueling people with it because NOBODY uses it
So I got ricc rounds, perp motion and headseeker on my first trials drop, and just looking at the face value its eh. BUT Headseeker is NUTS ingame. Yeah I wouldve preferred moving target in the 3rd column for that juicy aim assist, but I cant be bothered farming trials. But yeah headseeker is the way to go because its one of the few dmg buff perks that doesnt need reloading to proc and I think its better than kill clip and other perks in the 4th column
Damn now I’m salty that I didn’t farm a roll with moving target. I got a 5/5 rapid hit/head seeker & called it good. Next time it’s around I wannna try that roll
Ggs man. Trials was a complete dumpster fire for me. I got noobish teammates the entire time. Then I had people quitting at the beginning of matches. People just giving up and every team I played seemed to have thee most cracked players. Definitely my worst trials experience I’ve had since starting two years ago man. I’m prolly done even trying at this point. There’s literally zero point. LOL. So frustrating bro.
Fuck dude honestly same......Fucking i swear the latest trials the one of wormhaven was absolute dogshit....Like i had the worst teammates in destiny history and it felt like i was going up against people who were like All star MLG Tournament players who were playing like 20 million is on the line. Easily my worst trials week. Probably the only week ever i just gave up going flawless.
You don’t have to go flawless. Adept are only slightly better than regular and this pulse has great stats either way. I’d just grind a card to 7 wins even if you loose and keep playing on that card. That will net you the most amount of xp and let you rank up faster for more engrams. Then just focus those for the messenger.
PSA: the thing about messenger is you don’t really need adept for a god roll, as most people will use counter balance anyways. So don’t feel bad anyone who wants to grind messenger. Just focus for a normal one! IE: I’ll take a god roll normal messenger over an identical adept one with a reload MW.
Want an underdog good pulse. Insidious. 2 tappin machine. I have an adept with heating up rampage that melts. I need to get my crafted leveled up. But it’s very good. Pair it with a shotty or immortal. Solid pair
I two tap constantly with it with no damage perks rolling. Won’t disagree that those are better options in terms of stats. Was throwing out a pulse no one uses. Works for me. 🤷🏻♂️
Best I got was moving target/ kill clip (or desperado), I got so many rolls but no moving target head seeker 🙃 kill clip is nice but the consistency is a lot better w head seeker rather than kill clip for stuff like trials, great vid as always tho bro
I have those rolls, but pulse rifles are stationary beasts. These perk combos made more sense to showcase considering the entire archetype of the pulse is about being stationary to get accuracy improvements. I like perpetual on pulse rifle that are more fast paced
@@IFrostBolt that's confusing to me, because why would you recommend moving target if you were using this pulse while stationary? Plus even the slight strafe keeps perpetual motion procced, so I personally prefer it over something like rapid hit where you only get the benefits in the middle of a gunfight
the messenger is the only gun in PvP that i got 1k kills on. it remains one of if not the best pulse rifle in the game, competing with NTTE. head seeker, kill clip, desprado, rapid hit, outlaw. it has it all and it can do it all. this was my first ever adept, i went flawless this weekend on wormhaven for the first time and man was it worth it. i got kinetic tremors and outlaw for PvE and rapid hit and head seeker for PvP. the perks you choose to have on this gun does not matter, whether thats kill clip or desperado, itll melt anyone.

The drop rate for these was horrible worse than any other trials weekend I’ve played. 93 wins throughout the whole weekend after flawless and got 8 drops and none with rapid hit🤦🏻♂️
I hope you know that h3ad seeker and rapid hit aren't and deposdro and rapid hit aren't going to be good soon in the next season because they are making different changes to the sandbox and deposdro is getting nerfed and if sand box changes happen next season good luck having a good messenger next season. If they do this moving target and kill clip will basically be god roll so probably will under over and kinetic tremors and rapid hit and kill clip that's are the only god rolls that will be good next season with the messenger js
What did bungie do to adept farming it’s awful now. Adept counterbalance is it worth the range reduction on console. Lastly why the hell did bungie put discord and kinetic tremors on the messenger, my rng sucks I got four of them. I eventually got smallpox ricochet rapid hit and keep away handling mw, any good or meh, oh yeah encore used to be in the third slot but now they have put it in the last one why. They seem to have tried to make us grind a lot more for a good roll, which is not great a bit like the rest of the season 😂
I use an adept stability on mine which brings it to 99 stability, while also having 93 range (41m). Recoil doesn't really matter if the gun doesn't kick.
@@callumbuckby8295 Comes down to preference. I have close to 8k kills amongst my messenger rolls and I hate not having counterbalance, especially considering stability doesn't really matter on the weapon anyways. Not worth running counterbalance imo only if you have arrowhead
theasiancow I completely agree, definitely comes down to preference. I would argue stability is key to the frame of pulse rifle tho as the 2 burst is what makes them so competitive with the 0.67ttk. As well as the more kick you have from having lower stability the more you'll feel the recoil direction.
@@callumbuckby8295 Yeah I suppose. I personally can't tell any meaningful difference between 55 stability and 70. The gun feels really good. That's one of the big reasons I don't understand the obsession with rapid hit. With moving target instead, it doesn't even matter if you have very high stability if the hit box is significantly expanded.
