Sniper Elite 5 Invasions are incredible. Such a simple concept but incredibly addictive. Why don't more games have this mode?! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thank you for watching.
can confirm that statement is factual as you typically get invaded at the actual worst times lmao not to mention it messes with your last save sometimes to where you respawn right before you died and die again XD
If they flesh this out I think this could be super cool, like a slow-paced sniper v sniper chess match would be really interesting. Especially further down when people know the game more.
What this mode could really use is a private match. I was super excited to play with a friend, but since it’s matchmaking only, we can’t really do that.
This mode is a game changer for this series IMO, having my game invaded just makes everything so tense. I also play with almost no HUD so knowing theres a player potentially nearby hunting me while trying to complete tough objectives with minimal HUD is a really awesome stealth/action experience! So happy this ended up on GamePass
@@durara4492 Interesting! Haven't played MGS in decades, but I do remember it as being a thriller and this game mode in Sniper Elite, kind of gives the same vibe
I just started playing this yesterday. I was in the middle of my 2nd mission when my game was invaded by another player. It raises the tension of the match IMMENSELY. This is the perfect game for this kind of thing. Also, I smoked my invader. It was exhilarating
Ahaha instead on my first mission I got smoked by an invader twice, same guys. Then I just hop on invasions mayself and dude, this is really a great game mode I love it
Please keep playing this game Jack, you seem to already be a natural and it was some of the most fun I've had watching someone play a game in a while. Keep up the great work 👍
The invasion mechanic was in WATCH_DOGS and honestly it's part of what made that game one of my all time favorites. Going back to it now doesn't work, because people still playing it are insane now and also there's a lot of glitch abuse. But it was great when there was just normal players doing it.
It was fun in mgs5. I'll be stealing their stuff from their base only for the screen to say that the owner has resturned to defend. Now it amplifies the difficulty and intensity. If you invade someones base with no equipment to combat a potential defender, then you have to soley relay on your actual irl stealth skills lol. Very thrilling experience on both ends
@@TrueGamer22887 They had invasions all the way back in RE6 called agent hunt. you got to join as a random slightly more powerful zombie and mess people up.
This invasion mode was similars to FromSoftware’s (Demon’s/Dark) Souls series, Perfect Dark, Deathloop, and well as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain where FOB raid between defense vs attack in PvP. The player could invading the other player.
Deathloop already does this. The enemy can invade ur map and has to kill you 3 times to successfully win. But if the original story player kills the invader once, he wins.
@@PastPositive I know. I explicitly said Deathloop due to it being the game I'm currently playing through. But yes, I'm aware those games also have done that. Fromsoft is great.
You should try Survival Mode, man. So much fun. They send waves of enemies after your team of 4 Soldiers. They include the quick kill cam as well. Is it just me, but does anyone else find it more brutal without the x-ray kills?
I mean, other games have done this before the souls series, and it’s a very simple and unoriginal idea, I wouldn’t say they took it out of the souls series as the souls series also “took it” from other games too.
This game looks beautiful and the map design looks soo clean as well, This mode is sick. Hope more games do it, I know some other games have It as well tho.
Aside from the obvious Souls comparison, really reminds me of the "counter operative" mode in the OG Perfect Dark. One player aims to complete their objectives and finish the mission, the other aims to kill said player and can keep respawning as enemies within the mission only with low health and basic gear. Very fun, very original for the time
I love this idea for invading single player. Dark Souls did this with invasions. Few games have this, only other I know of is Resident Evil 6 where you invade as different zombies or BOW depending on the campaign you're trying to do. I really wish the last Doom did this where you could invade another player as a special demon in their campaign
This is one of the best creative game modes implemented in the best way ive seen in a long while. This is a game changer for SniperElite which while I love it has been in a bit of a stale rut the past 2 entries. This is the perfect mechanic to hit a refresh on this series. I had so much fun watching this Jack please make more videos on SE5!
While I have heard this game mentioned in various places, I've never seen actual gameplay and I must say this is impressive and right in my wheelhouse. I will be diving into this very soon. Thanks for the intro, jack!
Thank you for keep posting videos like this! Due to health, being a father and my full time job resposabilities I had to stop playing games, but thanks to you I can keep up with video games and I keep having the nostalgic feeling from my memories in the past playing them.
ok, this is awesome. I wasnt overly sold.. now i am lol It seems that games like elden ring have really brought the invasion mechanic into a greater light (i know its been around, just elden ring is like WAY more popular than other games with it)
My question is, does the other player know you're a real player (by a notification or a dot over your head) or do they just see you as an NPC. Because THAT would be amazing.
Haven't played these games for awhile, may have to return. Love this invasion mode gameplay. Reminds me of that mode from Watch Dogs where people would randomly join your game and hack/attack you
I am so glad Jackfrags is playing this Sniper Elite 5, I been asking myself and message before is Jackfrags gonna try this game out and yes he is now. 🙂
Loving this game! The new one is definitely the best. You can play it as Sniper Elite game, a Double A WW2 Splinter Cell, or 3rd person COD or a mix of all 3!
We need more game modes like this. Feels more intense and personal. It is reminiscent of hacking another players game in Watchdogs, or raiding another players base in MGS5 👌
I turned that off when I started as I didn't know what it was, but I might have to turn that option on as it looks fun! Although having Jack come up behind and knife me would scare the crap out of me!😂😂
I like the game but I rarely use a sniper rifle. I'm on the 5th mission and I completed the previous two missions just using a pistol. It's wierd having a sniper game where the vast mojority of the maps are designed so you're a few metres away from every enemy.
U can embrace the stealth and sniping if u want, imo it’s way more fun that way and more challenging. Kinda wish u only had access to a sniper bc I feel like most people are just playing third person Call of duty lmao but more options are better
People i preach to out of love you accept christ into your heart and you WILL be saved for he love the world so much he sent his only son to die so that whoever belive will not perish but have eternal life in heaven you are not to far gone turn to christ REPENT of your sin confess christ as lord and savoir and him alone is the ways to heaven please i beg you turn to christ for salvation can not be earned only given as a gift by the lord jesus loves you..,.,.,.,
So happy people are enjoying this game, it's really good. After so many great games at the start of the year, there was nothing really to play imo. SE5 came at the perfect time.
I have played it 6xs so far. I am not a great player in campaign but these people keep losing to me. Just wish it keep throwing you in games over and over until you quit.
@@grzegorzbrzeczyszczykiewic5083 yup its in the settings, you can choose how often you want it to happen, or stop it altogether. Also if you hit spacebar I think it cancels it while in progress
They should keep a look out for this mode. Keep it updated and people will love it. Remember this kind of thing at RE6... If well used, it's pretty fun.
I remember when MGSV also did this ruining other's day mode called FOB, they did separate it from the campaign mode, but you lose resources if you fail to protect your own base while you're offline. good times.
This mode needs a few tweaks. As far as I can tell you don't have an indication of how many objectives are left/completed when you're invading someone. This would help give you an idea of where they could be and how long you have left to hunt them. I also think we should be able to customise our equipment a bit more beyond mines grenades and med packs Otherwise I think the game mode is quite good.
I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but Deathloop has this exact functionality. Like, literally the same thing. Obviously completely different game and it plays slightly different, but exact same concept.
Jack, if you're into this, Prey introduced this concept in their Mooncrash DLC and then the same studio made Deathloop which is centered around this concept. I think you'd really like Deathloop
It becomes a little less cool when you realize that when the Allied sniper dies, he just respawns where he was and does not lose any progress. They can also just kick you out of the invasion any time they want.
Mods like this are why games lile deathloop and watch dogs are praised so highly. THE BEST 1V1 EXPERIENCE in a seemless singleplayer, multiplayer game.
Ive watched you for years jacky boy and i must say this game has put the cherry on top it looks amazing ive played the whole series and this just tops it off thanks for the insight and i live to see more of your videos of this game and other games >>33
I really like this when done well but from my experience from dl1 it can be super annoying if you’re just trying to play single player and due to you not knowing to disable a setting you get killed by a real player Edit from my experiences about 95% of people from dl1 didn’t want to get invaded they just didn’t know they had to turn it off
Jack, this was a mechanic that was pioneered by Demons Souls, and more famously, Dark Souls. Its rather contrived, down to the name itself - Invasions - from another series of game, but either way its good to see a new way its implemented
