The TES universe is based upon the concept of cyclic time called the Kalpic cycles and a simulation of the world within the Godhead's dream. So yeah, NPCs are really NPCs, with the exception of certain characters who know they are not real and override it to shape (un)reality as they see fit- like the player character for example.
If you've ever been alone in Knox with that music playing it's pretty spooky. There's also a nightmare sequence that Mickey didn't check out that's actually terrifying.
@@ChadVulpes The version I played was from 2014 of 2015 and not everything is the same now. That being said, you can enter the nightmare sequence by selecting a bed in one of the apartments.
Right! I love Mods like this. Very liminal. Its like seeing a passionate fan being given a artists pallet and told to create whatever the hell they want. Lots of love and humanity put into it. It's a cool thing.
Man why these mods has to be on Elder Scrolls instead being in Fallout, such a missed opportunity to actually utilize it with quests and guns lol, just imagine Deus Ex inspired mod taking place in one of these places from that mod.
@Tacdelio Skyrim looks like hot garbage, too, it was mediocre when it came out and hasn't aged any better lol. The entire game uses 3 tile sets, as well. Crypts, ruined castles, and forsworn dens. It really is a shite game in almost every aspect.
I think it'd be legit fascinating to see a mod that tries to make an actual future skyrim, like a meshing of cyberpunk with the norse style, with evolved or cybernetic versions of current skyrim monsters. Cyborgoblins, withered spriggans, super-advanced dwemer centurions, humanoid mudcrabs, civilised giants, Vivec now has a chain of amusement parks, hagravens running neon-lit psychic businesses, the reachmen are still backwards luddites roughing it in the few remaining areas of nature. There's little fun hints of that with stuff like the house of dibella clothes store and the psijic pyramid thing.
I think that'd scoot the lines between lore friendly and fanfiction, since it changes the metaphysics of the universe (TES has its own. The universe is a dream)
This mod is both quirky and cool, I love how creative the modding community is in Skyrim. It's weird seeing modern items like JD and guns in Skyrim, but strangely satesfying. The modern clothes are cool too. Those little fluffy ball shaped critters remind me of tribbles from Star Trek, and the dragon statue is coloured like Shenron. If I had the newer version of Skyrim, I'd definitely check this place out. Thank you for taking the time to explore this mod, and thank you for the entertaining way you presented it.
@@Radzood oh is he? Has he ever been convicted? Does he have any researchable criminal offenses? Or did you just hear this on reddit? If so, kindly shut the fuck up, because you don't know what.youre talking about.
@@Mateumt That actually turned out to be a lie. Kirkbride did say that he only drank booze and smoked cigs, but he later admitted to using shrooms and acid. I'm not denying that a person can't be creative when they're sober, of course. But Kirkbride was blasted out of his fucking mind when he was writing for Bethesda.
That sport hoodie with the 45 on it is the outfit David Leatherhoff wears in the Half-Life 1 mod, Afraid Of Monsters. What a weird deep cut of a reference for a mod like this.
I remember checking out Aether Suite. It felt so lonely/unnerving with how utterly empty it was of NPCs considering it felt like there should be people. It was really cool though, I liked looking through all the apartments and other buildings.
The first time I played Aether Suite I did find a Silent Hill section. I can't wait to actually explore the Fort Knox mod as I have always liked using science fiction like mods in Skyrim. I also feel that gun mods that add flintlock, steampunk, or clockwork based guns to the game should make sense in the lore of the Elder Scrolls considering that full on ancient robots, and airships exist yet flintlock guns don't!
Was this.....was this an actual video or did I was just have one of the craziest fever dreams of my life? Micky D does it again, these mods are fucking next level
IIRC this sort of high-tech stuff is KINDA part of TES, but more the far past/future, and a lot of it is like, weird c0da-style weirdness, but it's sort of there. There's one story where Vivec and everybody like, beat up a bunch of TV-headed people, don't recall if that's c0da or c0da-adjacent.
I believe that the original was going to involve solving mysteries around the city. An example would be the burnt out school that was supposedly haunted, I never finished exploring it as I chickened out. The next one was people disappearing after sleeping at a hotel. There's even a warning not to fall asleep. If you do you get teleported to a nightmare maze where you have to run from a invisible and unkillable troll until you reach the end making you wake up.
It'd be awesome! Like all the races, and various beliefs, but modernized. There'd need to be another 3 to 5 classic TES games first though before fans will accept it
Adidas was founded by and named after Adi Dassler, and you pronounced the brand just like his name, so you really pronounced it more correctly than most people do if you think about it.
Yo, Mick. Just wanted to express that your content always gets me through the day. I try to watch your videos as soon as they pop up in my feed and they never fail to cheer me up, especially during the worst of times. Keep up the good stuff! We love you, not-Jacksepticeye.
Micky D, please do a play through of ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phenix’ and also the ‘Half Blood Prince!’ I love your HP play throughs. Funny af!
You including that clip of "Alright" (around 12:10) helped me find that song. An old Casio instrument I had as a kid based one of their "Songs" off of that, and now I know what it is. Thank you ❤️
Florida and New Jersey be like: "I just punched him out the door haha! See, NOW I properly fit in!" /shoots a dude/ "Huh. My Archery skill went up! Do you not care?? ....... Well, your parka's mine now." Source: I live in the fever dream that is Florida, and my best friend was born in NJ near the Jersey Shore area. Boy have we both seen some shite. Lmaooo.
What a coincidence - Josh Strife Hayes released Croc review some time ago. Those TC (total conversions) are sometimes really werid, cool and full of surprises. Like Enderal convinced me to buy Skyrim. Put maybe 2h into it and 100h in the Enderal...
Nexus sites mods no matter the game might be like the one and only place you can use mods with stolen assets. Thats why modders want to use Nexus instead of Workshop because Steam wont allow that.
Well, if this exists, I don't see a Saints' Row like mod being very farfetched. Imagine yeeting the head of Ultor with a Thu'um, lolz ... Yeah, this was cool.
the fact that this just happened to come out at like the same day(ish) that Josh Strife Hayes released a review for croc legend of the gobbo is hilarous
Micky I love every single thing you just referenced in this entire video. Every game, from Croc, Jak & Daxter, New Vegas to the more obscure Rugrats Search for Reptar (I mean I don't LOVE that game but... it's part of my childhood), and even stuff like the random Jamiroquai, Tupac, among other song references. Great stuff.
Are the mod authors aware that Fallout 4 is a thing which exists? This is just weird to see in Skyrim. It hurts my head to see an AK shooting dwarven bolts. I mean, kudos for creativity. But ... WHY?!?!?! I'm thinking there's a reason why Ye Olde Herbage Cafe is so well stocked. Someone's sampling their own wares, so to speak.
What I would absolutely love to see is someone make a serious effort to design a mod set in the distant future of the Elder Scrolls universe. Not some tacky Second Life looking shit, but an actual attempt to project bring things into an in-universe modern day.
By the way, the way you say Adidas is the correct way. Us 'Mericans are the ones that pronounce it wrong. They're a German company and we were taught the right way to pronounce it in the German class I took in high school.
10:47 "the UK lads have just heard how we pronounce adidas" wait... are there people who don't pronounce it that way? Here in East Yorkshire that's how we say it too.
Mmm, Jameson. I love me some Irish whiskey. I love Jameson but the one time I was Ireland I got a bottle of premium Clontarf they happened to be selling while I was there, and it was really good too.
“They say it’s the city of dreams, and I’m a BIG dreamer… …one among thousands. I bring you a message. Dagoth Ur calls you, Nerevarine, and you cannot deny your lord. The sixth house has risen, and Dagoth is it’s glory.”
