I just watched a full video in which a man created more storage space only to promptly run out of said storage space once again😂 You have so many tools and it is great to see you use them. You did a great job. Being mechanically inclined sure helped. I hope you had a great Christmas and wish you all the best for 2024! Cheers!
"Put some sides on and fill it more like a skip....." made me laugh 'til I cried 😅 As always, beautiful work! Thank you Chris - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Mrs Noidea. Regards, David
Very solid table. Looks perfect for mounting a vice to it. Be hard to find a quality table like that nowdays. Don't work with wood myself, spent a year at school making a kitchen stool, still pile of wood at the end of term. Happy new year to you. Peter
I’m not a woodworker either but sometimes you just have to have at it. I’m thinking of building a moxon style of vice or installing clamping rails instead of a vice, but haven’t decided yet. Thanks for watching and great comments
Buy yourself a couple sheets of rigid foam insulation board. Makes a great sacrificial underlayment when cutting sheet stock with a track saw. Two advantages are they are cheap and extremely light weight. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hello Mike. I think insulation would work well. Wishing you a happy Christmas. I hope one day you will make some new content your radio wisdom is sadly missed!
Hi Chris, Happy Christmas! That was quite a storm you had outside, we've had nothing like that down here. Love that track saw, I watch a guy restoring a chateau who has a Festool one (at around £700 worth....) and I was reflecting then on all the times I've tried to cut sheet ply or MDF very badly over the years and the huge difference having one of those makes for accurate and square cuts. Nice bench in the end, I'm quite amazed those doors worked out. I can never do that!
I was equally surprised that the door fitted. I would definitely recommend a track saw even a cheap one like the one I bought really opens up opportunities.
Go down to the canal river woods etc with your angle grinder and cut some nice wheels off an abandoned shopping trolley. There are plenty to choose from. If you are lucky the local street urchins will abandon one Infront of your house hopefully not damaging too many parked cars in the process.
Unfortunately the nearest supermarket is some miles away so we don’t get a lot of shopping trolleys. I did get one from B&Q once’s as I couldn’t be bothered to unloading in the rain, so I put the trolley in the back of the van
1:27 Those hard plastic wheels are terrible to move arround, they make a lot of noise on concrete floor, they get quickly jammed up with just a piece of paper and lots of other problems. For good handling and smooth roll, you need at least 150mm diameter of wheels with a layer of rubber. I recently swapped the plastic originals of a small cabinet on wheels with bigger wheels, and after that upgrade i wished that i had done it much sooner. If i'm now bored, i take that cabinet for a walk 😂
