If you measure the output voltage of the internal PSU, you could possibly bypass it and use a high quality external linear psu. It’s almost certainly running off 9 - 15v dc.
Hello Ian from Meaford Ontario Canada : Ian I noticed you used jb Capacitors from Taiwan and I know nothing about them other than they have been around since 1980 and I am curious why jb and not Duelund? Thanks Ian and thanks for the fantastic videos and information
Hello, the only reason I'm using the jb caps, is because it is extremely tight inside the unit, so the Duelund caps are too big to fit & the jb caps are very good for the money, thanks for commenting & watching
Fantastic Ian I figured that might be the reason as I recently purchased The Duelund Copper foil .01 uF 650 v hand made capacitor s for my Sansui Receiver model 7000 and I just barely got them in there hee hee hee Thx Ian
Ian, there is a new anti-static ionizer device which is super popular right now. Kind of like the old anti-static gun for vinyl replay, except this device coninuously ionizes tgexrecord surface. This apparentlyveliminates clicks and pops. Perhaps you could build one?
Blimey Ian, you don't sit still for a minute. They don't use sockets for two reasons, cost and also a socket can be source of noise or failure over a period of time so soldered is a better connection.
