It really REALLY angers me when parents allow their children to abuse animals and treat them like a toy that can be kicked around. But I am so happy that this sweet little angel is doing so much better and is now in a loving and safe environment💚🐕
"The puppy just wasn't what we expected" - these cruel and clueless parents, honestly. I'm happy for Poppy that she got the love and respect she deserved, poor puppy.
Exactly. “Yeah we let the kids throw her around and color on her. Then all she does is cry all day.” Like they’re talking about something they bought at Walmart which I’m sure is a place they shop at consistently. Family of mouth-breathers.
My dog was surrendered to our local shelter bc she pooped everywhere... she was 8 weeks old. IDK what ppl think puppies are gonna be like. Idk how she didn't get adopted sooner bc she's perfect, but she was 5 months when I adopted her. And was still a ton of work lol. We worked together so much and went to classes and puppy playtime. She's amazing. Perfect. She'll be 12 in November. I can't believe it's been that long, she's still just my little baby.
They obviously got this breed to keep up with their designer friends... This pup would have cost them alot of money to buy initially. 😢 They did not have the intelligence the to do research on the breed first and the a tony to teach their children right from wrong where animals are concerned as well as in their own daily life. Maybe they are without manners as parents..
Yeah...they had to have put up some coin for that girl. They were just trying to make it work out. That poor baby looked like what you'd see in a movie about human trafficking or hostages. So grateful to Lee
Mate I dunno if you will ever read this but you are a hero in my eyes. What you do is amazing generally but what resonates the most is how you exercise patience in their early days with you. I wish they didnt have to go through what they do but the turnarounds are so wholesome.
They are sometimes HARDER than human babies! People need to realize that. Especially when they have a human baby or toddler already to take care of. So unfair to the fur babies!

“Wasn’t what they expected.” What, because puppies being needy is something unheard of? What exactly DID they expect? They sound like they just wanted a babysitter for their (seemingly) unattended kid. The only decent thing those people did was humanely surrender her. So glad she has the life she deserves now. 💖
@@madnessintomagictraumatising people or animals is permanent damage!!! So many people don’t want to understand or cannot those are the types of people who should not have pets let alone children!!!
There is something profoundly wonderful about a guy who looks like he can kick anyone's ass if he wanted to and yet he is tender and loving towards animals and shows his kindness. Our world needs more men like you - this is what healthy masculinity is!
They did the right thing. Sometimes people don't know what they're getting into. It's good to turn the dog over to a rescue group. So many just dump their dogs off in the street, at dog parks, in the middle of nowhere, not caring what happens to them. These people were responsible in making sure the dog was safe. It's still a puppy, too, and a full breed, so she'll be adopted quickly. She'll be ok.
Bassetts are my heart! It takes a special person to raise this breed. A very patient person who understands how deep this breed feels. Thank you kind sir! Such a beautiful baby! ❤
@@LoveAgain62my parents had one, and when I brought my children to visit we stayed with them for a month, the dog absolutely fell in love with the kids, to the point that he went into deep depression after we left so my parents had to walk him to the parks and ask children to play with him. We had a huge yard and because Portugal doesn’t have strict dog laws we just prefer to keep ours on our property but in this case they really had to make an exception!
This pup initially acted like she was placed under 8 weeks old and didn't get enough time with her mother and siblings, and then thrown into a new household with immature unsupervised kids. I think she blossomed from your affection, and from the pack, she learned "how to be a dog" and to trust you.
YOU'RE SO RIGHT. IGNORANT PPL GET DOGS SO THEY CAN HAVE THEM MATE THEN SELL THE PUPS FOR RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICES. THEY DON'T GIVE A SH*T ABOUT THE HEALTH OR WELL-BEING OF THE PUPPIES, AND CERTAINLY NOT THE MOTHER, WHO THEY VIEW AS THEIR TICKET TO LOTS OF $$$. SCUMBAGS. LIKE PUPPY MILL OWNERS. I F***ING DESPISE THESE HEARTLESS, GREEDY BA**ARDS.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was a puppy mill situation, they tend to adopt out the pups WAY too early. In fact, I am of the belief that 8 weeks is even a bit early. I favor 10-12 weeks. That extra time with mom does wonders for the demeanor and instincts.
@stopwomenfromvoting What are you going to do, beat up the toddler? You come across as eleven, given your username. I don't think you would threaten the adults, sweetheart.
@Jessica LanSpe You might also add rabbit to this list: my niece ended up with a rabbit at age 8, and I ended up taking it and raising it for 8 years. Sure, they are sweet and cuddly, but their care is not unlike boarding a small horse, with all the hay and bedding they require. Also, unless you are prepared to own a pet which may live long enough to see your child go to high school, do not feel the temptation to buy your child a pet rabbit.
@Jessica LanSpe So very true! If you are a dedicated parent with a lot of time and at the same time a real knowledgable dog lover it might work with a younger child but otherwise it will be traumatizing for the puppy. But no matter how many time a parent has I would never recommend a dog for a toddler as no toddler is capable of learning enough to treat a dog correctly.
@@LadyGreyBlack I couldn´t agree more! I bought two rabbits when my son was 4 years old but they were MY rabbits, I cared for them until they died - one even reached the age of 12 years. The rabbits were a wonderful oppurtunity to teach my son how to correctly treat animals. Under my supervision he was allowed to pet them and he loved to feed them and he helped to clean their cages. They ran around a lot and he watched their funny behaviour. One of the rabbits loved to listen to stories - whenever I read a bedtime story to my son the rabbit came, laid down at the side of the bed and stayed there as long as the story lasted. She never did that when there was no story read.
Despite her completely inappropriate prior family experience, she ended up in the absolute best place! Your love and the supportive care from the pack were just the medicine her spirit needed to recover and thrive. May you and Poppy have the most wonderful adventures and I look forward to seeing her grow and bloom.💕
So sorry for her no living thing should be traumatized particularly at such a young age So glad that due to Mr. Asher she’ll go on to a happy life bless him and his mission
This just makes me cry any adult who would let a child especially a toddler do something like this to a precious puppy it just breaks my heart thank you so much for all you do for all of your animals
One of the things I love about your pack, no dog gets left behind. One of the larger more confident dogs, always hangs back to make sure everyone gets on track. True pack love right there. Absolutely amazing.
She's calling for her mom. I can almost bet she came from a puppy mill. What did the vet say about her? Despite all, she is blossoming and beautiful! You and the pack helped her feel secure. Thank you! Bless you!
That's what I was thinking... they took her from her mom and siblings to early...I remember when we would get a new puppy, when I was young... we would put a wind up clock in the bed area....the ticking would sooth them like their mother's heart beat... I don't know if they still have those kind of clocks anymore, I'm sure you could find something to sooth them though...
When I had my puppy I snuggled him and let him lie in bed next to me along with my adult dog. She treated him like he was her own puppy and he lay on me right against my heart. Even now he likes to lie in bed tight up against my chest with his head listening to my heartbeat. We do separate after a while but if he's had a bad dream or wants a snuggle it's head on my chest and tight up against me.
What’s scary is that the parents who got a puppy for their child, and allowed her to mistreat this sweet baby; are, in fact, raising a child (or children). Thank you for rescuing her, and helping her to thrive! She’s beautiful!!
I couldn’t care less about their miserable little a$$hole children who tortured and traumatized this baby animal. I hope they get back what they put out.
Do you have children? Cuz 5 minutes of distraction and suddenly the kid had attached razor blades to a ceiling fan. Kids are a liability. The solution is this idea destroyed by Uber liberal ideals is called “education” abd constitionalism. See in the 1700s we had a new idea, instead of picking a great rich family and deciding that god decided to crown them king on behalf of humanity, we would rule!!! No what we can’t up with is this (not even really paraphrased: Basically they believed that every man had inalienable rights to self defense religion and such natural rights given in the context of the strength of man. Then in order to secure our own rights, we actually give the federal government the right to impede our rights (so long as it doesn’t contradict the constitution [I don’t think we read brackets anymore]. The idea is the government only exist as much as we need it to operate and live our lives (best form of government). But just hearing this concept of god directly empowering people sounds like to me like it should have started a religious revolution in Europe. I mean I get there was the Protestants, but they didn’t have issues feeling their way around.
Omg the way Butters and Poppy held hands and slept together … precious. I so admire your patience with her Lee. They just need love that is so on point!
I can just picture that poor doggy being dragged out of every hiding spot she found, by the tail, or paw or ear... Kids are viscous with toys. She wasn't very old so they didn't have her very long. You can see the emotional damage in her eyes. She looked so broken. No matter what the circumstance...had this been a human...police would've been involved. Im so thankful they surrendered her to the House of Asher. Someone in that house did the right thing. Whoever you are, THANK YOU
This guy is a real life angel 😇 I like to think I am like him, I wish I had a big property with loads of land. I'd take in every neglected dog I could. They are beautiful creatures that give us humans their undying love. They deserve to be happy, safe, loved and free ❤ 💖 ♥
Bless her little heart, she was taken from her litter and given to a child who obviously did something to her, probably wasn't gentle. She's going to be okay now, thank you Lee.
I have rescued and housed 11 Bassett hounds-mostly seniors over the last 13 years -they are the best! I’m so happy she found an amazing home!! I love her!❤
It never ceases to amaze me the “stupidity” in some people. Don’t get your young child a dog unless they are old enough to understand the responsibility behind it. Thank god sweet little Poppy is with you now and away from the torment she lived with each day. You have a heart of gold -keep doing your amazing work. 😍
I'd like to argue that you CAN get your young child a pet. But be a fucking parent about it and do your dog damn job and parent your child. Teach it to NOT color on animals because they're not toys. Some people should not have children if they do not want to parent.
Idk how old that child was but honestly you can teach a child at a very young age how to be careful with animals the mention of marker on the dog angered me so much
I adopted a beautiful norwegian elkhound from the pound. The couple who had her were divorcing, and this poor puppy of 6 years was broken. Her nose, her back, had been broken from abuse. She didn't know how to play with toys. It took me 2 years to be able to reach out and pet her without her freaking out. But she was the BEST dog I ever had, saved our lives twice and helped this single mom raise two children. She was my soulmate, had a sense of humor that rivaled my own, and she gave the best hugs. She passed at nearly 16, and though a dozen years ago, I still miss her. I feel privileged to have given her the life she really deserved all along. Oh, and we buried her with her favorite toy, a snoopy on top of his house.
@@kathymayes4290 I think the ones you cannot forget are always there with you. I have dreamt of my soulmate many times. Pretty sure she is with my dad (who would have loved her), fishing and exploring woods. I admit, though, I'm a little worried about getting her back when I get there, lol!
I'd be scared, too, if I were her. She's known nothing but abuse from her original so-called caregivers. Thank you for providing her all the love and patience she needed.
Seeing an animal suffer is like torture for me - Poppy´s eyes were so horribly sad and desperate. Seeing her later in the video made me sooo happy. Thank you for saving this beautiful dog, she deserves all the happiness this world can give her!
To be fair, she IS a Bassett Hound - they ALL look sad ALL the time. The rest of their body language is a better indicator of their happiness than their face... But yeah, so glad she's not being abused by the toddlers of shitty parents anymore.
I will say a basset hounds eyes normally have that sad look but they still have this happy spark of light in them at the same time Poppy's eyes didn't have that spark
i grew up with basset hounds, and seeing one treated so poorly is so maddening. they are the sweetest, chillest dogs. I'm glad she's with people who will treat her right now.
I don't agree that she should have been colored on, but I won't overreact on the matter either. It's unfortunate and the kids need discipline, but charges are a bit excessive. I'm glad she is getting the love she deserves though. They should of surrendered her long ago.
God Bless this new baby, God Bless you Lee and "The Pack" for saving her life. She is precious. May she be blessed with a long, happy, healthy life in your care.
what a sweetheart... and by sweetheart i mean sweethearts all of them, man and dogs. Rotfl, the pic of Poppy and Butters/Penny ? sleeping w their paws touching making one heart between them both even if it looks a bit triangulated..... Love this channel.....
This made me cry my heart broke for her . She didn’t even look old enough to be away from her mom. I hope those people do not get another dog.Thank you for saving her .
Thank you so much for saving this sweet pup from these terrible ppl. They should not be allowed to have animals. Again bless you for caring. You are an Angel! ❤😇
that family has no right to have any kind of pet. clearly they bought the puppy for superficial reasons. First off if your children aren't mature enough to be caring, kind and responsible for a pet then you don't need a pet to settle your child, you need to get parenting courses to raise yourselves and your child properly that your child doesn't feel the need to color their pet with markers as if it was some inanimate toy.
For anyone thinking about getting a puppy: Heads up!! When the litter is all together with their mother, they sleep and spend their days all jumbled up together. All warm and snuggly. When a puppy gets taken to a new home, they often cry - especially at night - from cold, fear and loneliness. Many families (even good ones who don't colour on their dogs!!) get frustrated, the crying is difficult to hear, and they think there's something wrong with the particular dog that they've gotten. When in fact, all they need to do is let the dog sleep with them for a few nights, until it gets used to its new surroundings. Lee doesn't tell us why Poppy was crying, but that could be the reason. And being a hound breed, it was probably a lot of howling. So that may be why the family surrendered her. All she needed was some snuggling. But guess what? It's just as well, cuz she'll have a waaaayyyy better life with Lee!
At night we would keep our pups in a snuggly box right next to our bed, with a toy and a ticking alarm clock. When they cried, I would snuggle them just like I would an infant. It didn't take long to become one of the pack!
He said she had magic marker all over her. I’m guessing the kids at the house she first went to terrorized this beautiful baby. The parents should be ashamed of themselves. Animals are not toys nor are they babysitters. Ignorant people shouldn’t have pets. Thank God she is in a safe, loving, happy place now.
@@jamesmccormick875 I couldn’t agree more! I couldn’t believe it when he said the kids had been colouring on her with magic markers! 😳 I mean wtf? If the parents thought it was ok to do that to a pup, I don’t imagine they had any idea how to take care of this beautiful animal generally. Thanks to Lee ,She’ll be fine now though.!
@@woodysmum1906 Those are the type of people that probably should even have children. It angers me to no extent when innocent beings suffer due to the cruelty and stupidity of people, especially animals. Thank God for people like Lee.
It makes my heart weep poor baby, I hope those disgusting parents watch this video and feel ashamed of themselves, thank god for the Asher house and it's wonderful care.
Poor little Poppy. Her first “ family “ thought she was a toy. Then, when the “ toy” didn’t work like they thought it should, they felt it was broken and returned it. I’m glad they did because she probably would not have survived that environment. Hopefully she will have many happy years to come with those who love and care for her. 🙂
@@susanbooboo1724 I truly hope not!! Given what they did to Poppy, they should be on a “banned from adopting” list!! They probably don’t exist, but they should!!
@@susanbooboo1724 exactly right, I was thinking the same thing. I'm also wondering, how long until the parents start feeling the same way about their child, if she gets ill or starts having behavioral issues herself. Some people ought not to own anything but a pet rock, they shouldn't even have houseplants.
@@theladyinblack3055 I was just thinking I wish there could be something like this so those people are NEVER allowed to do this to another innocent animal!! 😡
I'm trying really hard not to be angry at the entire human race right now... Dogs aren't playthings for your toddler, they're *living beings with needs*! Thank God Poppy has found you and the beautiful pack, now she can truly be a dog.
So am I. Some people are just... agh. Last year my sister and I adopted a rat terrier, at that time a skinny, underweight little thing. Apparently she was a present for the daughter of that family. The poor pooch had dirty bowls and crap for food, and ended up on a chain just because she was running in the house. She had no idea how to play and was terrified of every louder noise and such, even little children. Poppy at the beginning reminds me so much of her, and I'm really happy she now has the loving home she so deserves.
Shes so precious. I’m sad thinking about how the family must have treated her to make her so scared and sad. On a separate note, I need someone to shower me with love like this too ❤😊
OMG.... who couldn't love this beautiful Basset Hound? Children can be so cruel to animals and puppies aren't a good idea with very young children after all the pup is a child too. They need love, care and comfort just like children. I'll never understand people who think getting a dog is just a matter of having it in the house and not doing anything for it. You're so blessed Lee and it's wonderful to see how Poppy has come on since you brought her home and introduced her to the pack. She'll go from strength to strength. Love and blessings to you and your animals.x
Children can be very gentle and respectful of pets, if parents teach them the right way to approach them. My little boy was almost 3 when we got our little rabbit. He's always been gentle and loving with our furry baby cause we always shown and told him how to interact with him. Popi is a free roaming happy rabbit, and he looooves my children. Always looking for cuddles, snacks, and zoomies with my youngest boy. I hope all parents in the world could teach their children how to love and respect their furry siblings ❤
Lee you’re the best. Thank you for saving this precious pup. And was that butters touching paws with her as they slept? Beautiful. You and your ‘pack’ have such healing powers. God bless.
@@lunam87 I agree, I've been around dogs all my life and I brought my children up to respect their pets. I've had rescue dogs since 1993 while my boys were growing up and never had a problem despite the dogs having come from difficult backgrounds. Parents have a great responsibility.
Yes, he has a beautiful heart - providing such a loving environment for all those happy looking dogs. May Jesus Christ BLESS you with HIS PRESENCE in every area of your life.
How anyone could mistreat such a beautiful creature, that child needs some serious help and I genuinely worry about her home situation. Poor puppy, she's probably been at the brunt of the child's outbursts and passing on pain. So glad she's with you now
How cruel! She has been severely traumatized. Some people are not fit to have an animal. Thank you, Lee, for saving this baby. You are so loving and gentle with every animal. You are a gift to this world. Poppy looks like she is enjoying being a park of your pack. She is beautiful.
Obviously horribly abused by the kid and where was that behavior learned? Child is likely a sociopath showing the early signs through abuse of helpless animals.
Doubt. He never showed the results of her vet visit which would probably demonstrate that she was sick and that the vet's treatment saved her, which would go against his narrative that all his filmed "cuddles" cured her of her "trauma." Also, there was nothing even in the bath water and no evidence of abuse at all 🙄 Why are ppl so gullible to this type of obvious bs??
I'm a jaded grumpy old man now but seeing this video brought a tear to my eye.......God sure did bless us with these wonderful creatures . There's a special place in heaven for the guy who saves these pups.
I have never been so anxious to hear a happy ending as I did with Poppy. She was so sad and it was completely heartbreaking to see a puppy without a care in the world to be happy and playful like puppies should. She is so lucky to have found you. I'm so happy for her. She has all the love she needs right now. 💜🐾
She is an absolute delight! How parents can be so lazy and neglectful to allow their child to abuse an animal is beyond me. I'm SO glad she's now in a wonderful home with you and the pack 🐕❤️
I think a lot of people are both ignorant about animals and wear rose-coloured glasses when it comes to their kids, so when they see a child playing with a pet like with a doll, they think the child is just being nice and there's no problem, because they only see the child's good mood and don't pay attention to or don't recognize that the pet is suffering.
"Isn't what they expected?" That was how I felt too, but you have to stick through it and it gets better. But I'm glad that poor puppy will get a better home. Puppies are not easy, but they are worth it. What a sweet dog.
They definitely are. People don't seem to get you have to actually train pets they're not gonna magically know everything. They typically adapt to your lifestyle after a bit.
I wonder if that’s what they thought when they had their own children? I always say that dogs are like toddlers that never grow up. They need love and care not some idiot who thinks a dog is a toy 🤬 people like this make me angry
@@kat284 haha that's what my family says too. It was actually something I took to heart before my wife and I had kids - first we adopted a puppy from the local shelter. 10 years later my wife jokes to our dog that she's our first child. But nothing makes me happier seeing all three run around the yard playing.
My 1st dog was brought back twice, and as a result had severe separation anxiety disorder. He would chew everything in the house when I left . pull out every drawer, actually chewed up disposable razor blades without cutting himself . don't even ask , cause I have no idea how you can do that. One time I came home and it was as if the heat was turned up to a 100 in the house. it was because he turned the stove on and actually melted the spice bottles. So my girlfriend and I decided we would muzzle him. It was horrible, we didn't want to do it but it stopped him in his tracks from destruction. He could still drink but he couldn't chew and didn't have a desire to destroy things anymore. It took a couple of months and we decided OK let's try to take the muzzle off. For the next 10 years he never chewed anything. He was a beautiful dog he just needed some love and patience. Everybody I knew said maybe you should take him back. but it was too late I was already in love. And in the end that's all it took, just a little love. Animals are like children, don't just have them cause you think you're supposed to, or on a whim. It takes dedication and love. 99% of the time it's not the dog's fault. it's yours, you're doing something wrong. The 1st 2 people that brought my dog back screwed up his little head. He thought he was abandoned. Once he got a father that loved him and was there for him, he knew he was loved and it was gonna be OK.
Sometimes pets act like this because parents don't teach their kids to treat their pets with respect. Pets becomes another "toy" for the children. Also, I really don't like saying pets sometimes. Pets are part of your family. They should be loved. I think that's the difference. If they are cherished/loved or if they are owned which could be become mistreated?
In no universe would any child of mine use markers on any animal! Look at that sweet face: HOW do you let your kid do that? Asher House again for the WIN!
I wouldn’t permit it, but I suspect that was the least bad thing that happened. We got a Boston Terrier pup when our oldest was 18 months old. We taught her to be gentle from day one. That poor little pup was physically sore/painful, she had been treated like a stuffed animal. It is a terrible situation all around, especially for the child who is allowed to mistreat an animal.
People that just see animals as a thing to keep kids distracted don't get the joy of owning unconditional love! I'm a dog dad and proud of it! I wished I could have them all!
When I win the lotto i want this guys life. A bit of land a pack of unwanted animals , my idea of heaven on earth. Much love and respect to this man. What a soul
What a precious baby. She looked so very traumatized at first. I'm so glad to see her becoming the dog she should be. Thank you Lee for protecting those that can't protect themselves and giving them unconditional love.
I’m so amazed every time I see your videos. I see scared and hurt puppies/dogs turn into such happy little angels. Just seeing and hearing all the love u have for each and every one of them. U have such a calming effect on them, it often brings tears to my eyes. Seeing u hug, kiss and talk to them is so sweet. And i can just hear the love u have for each of them. U truly have made a ‘dog heaven’ there. So inspiring! Love u and all of your sweet fur babies. Thank you for everything u do. ❤
It's like the parents said to their child: 'here's your puppy; do what you want to it'. What a wonderful job bringing this sweet puppy back to hope and a zest for life! Well done! I hope the goal is to find a forever home.
It's like the parents think their precious children don't need to be disciplined or taught to respect and love animals. And this is the next generation. Scary. Some people should not be parents.
@@suzannecarroll2388 I‘d go further: some people should not have kids. We all need licenses to drive cars - people should have to pass a test before they become parents too.
It’s truly heartbreaking how some people will treat a living animal like a plaything rather than give it the respect and love it needs. So glad that she found her way to you & is surrounded now by people & other dogs who care for her.
As a basset owner this broke me. I am glad those people had the sense to surrender the dog. They are complex pets, very intelligent but so sensitive. I hope she finds a great, loving home with someone who understands the breed. Good job sir.
I agree, you have to be a special person to own a Basset hound. They are very intelligent and super sensitive. They don't get enough credit, they are smarter than Labradors and up there with the border collie in intelligence. Not to forget they are also clowns who make you laugh all day with their bails and antics, lol.
There is a Bassett across the street from me that has been chained to her doghouse for almost 3 years. I called an animal rights lawyer, because it is against the law in Ecuador where I live. She threatened the owner (who is wealthy and not a nice person) and he made a minor change to her house but left the chain. I and also my friend offered to buy her but he refused. They feed her but never ever pet her or even speak to her. She is very sweet. My heart is broken.
Thats so horrible and sad! If the children did this to a puppy, imagine what they do in school?? Thats outrageous! Im happy the puppy can find peace in life.
She won’t be scared long when she realizes she is safe with you and your pupper family ❤️ edit: the more I watch the more heartbreaking this is. What is wrong with people??? 😑
You know, i had two boys and they were never allowed to abuse our animals!!! Stupid people should NEVER be allowed to have animals!!! That baby is terrified! ALLL DOGS ARE SPECIAL ❤
She is the sweetest little thing, and who would let their children color on a puppy!! You have a great heart and gentle ways, and she knew she was safe and loved!! You are amazing, love ya!!❤️❤️❤️
Typical result of spare the rod and spoil the children. If I had done that as a kid it would have resulted in a tight slap which is exactly what those kids deserved for what they did to this precious little baby. Shame on the parents for raising kids just like their insensitive selves.
My neighbors kids did that to their kitty, till he found his way to my home. But he was still tense, cause every now and then they came over and tried to get him back. Lied every time and told them the cat would be somewhere in the backyard. When we moved and took him with us, he started to relax cause he realised that he's finally safe.
To be honest, I suspect magic markers were the least of her problems if she was left unsupervised with a toddler. She flinched a few times when he reached for her at the beginning.
Shame on the parents for allowing this to happen!! “Not what they expected”?? They gave a toddler a puppy?? She deserves the world and I’m so glad she is safe ❤️
Exactly! When I was 1 my parents got me a puppy which consisted of them taking care of the puppy and me learning about how to treat animals and what I should NOT be doing. Worked with dogs for well over 30 years now and that small start at just 1 was the critical foundation of it all, if I had no corrections I would most likely still be an utter failure.
Agreed, that was incredibly irresponsible. However, I will say I’m glad they were decent enough to call somebody and surrendered her to them instead of dumping her off on the side of the road to die. Which is the sad reality of many, many dogs. 😓
So happy that THE dog man, knows his puppies and knows a broken heart and knows how to heal her right up. Puppy love is all it takes. Lots of love, understanding and patience. I know, I can't stand a kitty or puppy that cries. It tears me up inside. You know their bond was torn and they are now facing loneliness, separation all by themselves. But, with a pack like this...no way.
At least the owner had the decency and the intelligence to give Poppy away before her monster of a kid destroyed her... I' so so mad at these people that give puppies for their toddlers and don't realize they deal with a real life, not a stuffed animal. What a shame. Poppy is looking way better, thanks to you! ❤
@@rustybros exactly, the puppy was just a sampling of neglectful parenting. The puppy could have been used to teach the child some incredible life lessons. But hey, humans are allowed to breed recklessly without any legal consequences.
She’s a literal BABY, the care and time and love you give your human babies is really close to what you should be prepared (and happy) to provide any animal you bring into your care. 💔
