In wind like this you need to use a section of bungee cord on the lines that way the tarp grommets will not rip from the tarp. A section on either end of the support line works great... also a line over the top of the tarp to hold it from blowing to far out and pulling the lines like on a sail boat... Only way I know to save your shelter in strong winds.
@@greenwoodsforest I also would use full length poles. Take one section out of each so the sides of the tarp are closer to the ground to cut down on wind and blown rain.
The tarp is too high,I also go camping every time I have a chance,I lowered my tarp to the ground in this kind of weather to secure it and lots of guy line 😅
Wow, this video is amazing! I love the sounds of the rain and the fire, they are so soothing and calming. You are very brave to camp alone in such weather, but it looks like you had a great time. Çok açık alana kurdunuz bir kac aģac olsaydi ara bir alanda rüzgarı daha az alırdı. Çok açık alanda rüzgar sizi yormuş yağmur yormamiş. Yada kurarken rüzgarın yönünu iyi belirleyin arkanızdan alırsanız rüzgarı az ıslanırsinız az üşürsünüz bence.
I was wondering why you didn't set your tent up in between the bushes. The wind came from behind so it would've been better if there was a bush. Less windy. Still great to watch it tho.

Wet feet: gotta carry slacks and socks and slippers to change into. Oh you do! Long time in. And no wildlife ? None at all ! You’d want visitors on a trip like this - I would anyway : I’d want to be meeting some rare birds especially and some friendly small mammals and rodents. Maybe they are just keeping out of the rain
LOL I actually spent 2 hours trying to take pictures of wild animals, but since I only use a cheap phone camera, I can't use the zoom feature and every time I get close they run or fly, maybe in the future after my gear improves. Thank you for your support!
@@greenwoodsforest yes : that is the drawback with phone cameras. I had exactly the same problem on a recent project where I was inadvertently without my usual camera. Got some interesting long shots, though!
