As someone who left WV after college, it is one of the more depressing places in the US. I go back a few times a year for hiking and skiing up in the mountains in Canaan Valley and it's generally pretty awesome and relaxing up there, but most of the cities in WV are pretty rundown and stuck in a time warp. Sad because despite this, some of the nicest people you'll ever meet are from there and you'll normally always get good hospitality if you are visiting.

This place looks so dust. Hit up Waco, Fort Worth Stockyards, Houston Live Stock and Rodeo... you walk up to any group with a camera and it's lit

San Diego has pretty perfect weather, but lots of homeless folks, too. I get it, I would like to be there if I was homeless.

As someone who lives in Fremont I was super shocked when he said this is the happiest city in the world. Thought it was a joke at first. The rude Karen’s at the grocery store, the occasional wannabe gangsters or the 100s of homeless on the street would probably disagree with the statement of “happiest city in America”

I love this channel. Fitness channels usually consist of eating challenges and some random ass 'secret' training regiment that will magically get you jacked. Will is actually creative and keeps this channel entertaining. Jesse James West and you are peak youtube fitness channels rn 🙏

YOO I was born and raised in Fremont for 18 years and I can say Will definitely raised the happiness index by just being there and doing his thing. Crazy seeing all our typical spots through your perspective. Also, Fremont Hub is the name of one of our main commercial areas so that hat is so on point 😂

a lot of houses here in california are super expensive due to appreciation. So i bet none of those houses were close to that expensive like 10 years ago.

Too much stress and dopamine actually makes you depressed and sad, so it makes sense a relaxing and boring town would make people happy. More community and people helping and caring about each other, sounds nice.

This is extremely surprising as someone who grew up in Fremont. I’m curious as to who they asked in this study because there are several high schools in Fremont that are famous for their high levels of academic stress (I know, not the worst problem to have). This city is a highly affluent city not without its own problems. However, I will say that it is also a city with a huge immigrant population that does indeed live much better lives in Fremont than in their home countries (speaking from personal experience).

Honestly surprised to see Fremont as the happiest place America. The general perception of Fremont by us denizens of the bay area is that it's pretty boring place. I've heard it once described as a "parking lot with a mayor" and felt it was kinda apt. But hey, different strokes for different folks I guess.

I mean it might be that one kid that's throwing off the entire city average. 59/10 is pretty happy.

honestly. being healthy, eating healthy and having contact with nature are the things that are helping me to overcome depression. of course and my friends along with me. I believe that happiness is something very personal for each person but health, food and contact with people and nature seem to be the standard to feel happy. and of course if you accept like yourself and your appearance, because appearances do matter

I've lived in Fremont for a few years when I was younger. It's in a prime location in the Bay Area, relatively close to SF, San Jose and Oakland. Has a great diverse community, quiet areas like parks and lakes, but also a great city center areas. The housing is expensive, like most areas in the bay, but most people there rent. Traffic is horrible on the nearby highways on busy days, but overall Fremont is great.

No homeless ppl and everyone’s multi millionaires. No wonder they’re happy.

The most good energy ive seen come from a person who rarely smiles.

As someone who goes to Fremont once every couple of weeks, it is weird to me that it's considered the happiest city. Not that I've had bad experiences there but more that it's just the same to me as most cities in the Bay Area.

As someone who’s lived in Fremont their whole life, it’s not actually as happy as the census says. The “happiness” factor is mainly decided by the divorce rate in the city. Fremont is mainly an Asian+Indian population who mostly see divorce as a taboo thing to do because they care more about “what will others think?” rather than their overall well-being. So a lot of Fremont citizens stay in horrible marriages in fear of others judgement. Great video tho, Will. I literally screamed when I realized you were in my city 😃

I didn’t detect more happiness there than any other semi-decent city I’ve been to in the states. Sometimes these proclaimed “happiest” “safest” “most beautiful” etc titles are purchased. Just sayin. Also, thank you for being honest about that house instead of saying, “nice!” “This is so comfortable” or whatever. It was depressing, especially for the price.

I'm nervous because I don't know anyone over there, but what you said in the video rings true; Where you live has a big impact on your happiness. I started fitness again at the beginning of the year after a 3 year break and wanted to take it seriously this time but somehow overdid it and didn’t enjoy it as much, because it felt like work. I’ve watched a whole bunch of fitness channels and even tho they all had good advice and stuff, they were often way to serious about it as well. Since I found your channel, I’m enjoying my journey that much more and I know now that I can do it and enjoy life more and not less because of it. Feeling stronger than ever, more energised than ever and I’m eating Boston Cream Donuts now almost every other day and I can’t believe I never tried one before! :D
