Where are the limits of modern cross-country mountain bike? I don't know, in my case, it is still the rider, who is the limitation...
I visited this mountain biking trails centre called Bois des Rêves. It is reachable by bike from Brussels (33 km to get there and same back for me). Unfortunately, it was too warm, so husky stayed home this time.
As I needed to rush home, I only did a few rides, and it was like a maze there. No signs, I didn't even see a map at entrance (maybe I was just blind)...so you have to figure out your way, and find good trails, which is a shame. But it was still quite fun :)
I was also the only one there without a full suspension bike, any protection and full face helmet, but I am alive.
So was it worth to visit? I think it is a great place for locals, but if you have a car, there are better places to visit in Belgium. But I took it as a good opportunity for some training and I enjoyed it.
