So how did you like Beppu? If you love hot springs and amazing food, you should definitely put Beppu on your next itinerary! Thank you @Dogen for showing me around Also, be sure to check out @ExploreOitaJapan for all things Beppu and Oita! exploreoita.com
My wife and I will be visiting this year to see a new grandbaby and to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The overnight cruise and local cuisine look like a great idea for a three day trip while we visit.👍
We almost always go to Kansai when visiting Japan since we have family there, but I really want to check out Beppu if a chance allows in an upcoming trip.
Of course Ryotaro goes to the island furthest away from Chris Broad, after the "Windscreen incident" and he happens to choose the one town with cloudy vapors he can disappear into. Coincidence?! I Think NOT! 😂
He obviously wanted to escape from [s]JOURNEY ACROSS JAPAN: Non-Stop North[/s] the new blockbusting series, Hokutō no Men, for Chris would soon shout ATATATATATATA, press Risottaro's pressure points and see the windshield destroyer explode !
Beppy seems like a wonderful place that I would love to visit. There is basically no volcanic activity in my country so we don't get hot springs, and Japan's culture around the hot springs just takes an already great thing and makes it better.
Never been to Beppu but it's definitely on my list. How surreal did the town look with the steam plumes rising up over the buildings and the trees - almost biblical
Man, what a happy day it is every time I see our beloved Rizotoro showing us yet another something he wants to share. Thank you man, keep up the good work. Cheers from Leeds.
Love seeing such an in-depth look at Beppu and what the city has to offer. Dogen was a great choice of tour guide. Also Hell Steam Cuisine sounds like the most heavy metal form of cooking 🤣
The last time my wife and I were in Beppu, we were just getting the first reports of Covid in Japan. We had a great time, but miss the onsen in Hokkaido.
I can't see this video, don' t want to spoil myself when i'm going here next month for one night! I want to see a little bit to be interested, and also not so much to be surprised when i'm coming. In a way, if i know too much, the place lost a bit of it magic. So yeah, let's see this video in a month after coming here and see what i will missed ^^
Hot springs and amazing food in Beppu? I am sold! That is great you invited some guests to try the delicious food! I can see myself trying the sand bath experience in the onsen. Great video Ryotaro!
Last time I went I didn't realize where all the onsen were (everywhere it turns out) and didn't go into a single one. My loss. I guess I have to go back.
I must say, even if I don't want to. I think this is your best video yet and the pacing of your video helps it stand out against a certain other youtuber I won't mention out of fear of vengeance lol Jokes aside I think your channel is really starting to take its own shape and I look forward to your next video mate
Beppu is def on my must visit list in Japan. I think the cruise to beppu is what I wanna do and I also want to visit fukuoka and kitakyushu. Volcanic sand bath is prob my number 1 thing I wanna do just like you guys did!!!
Getting out of the Sunamushi feels like you're reborn - went to one in Ibusuki. One more reason to go to Beppu, I guess... definitely shortlisted for my next Japan itinerary, I've got Kyushu in my sights anyway.
What a lovely place. Dogen's made videos on his house - it's insanely nice. I believe there's a fee you pay to get connected to the hot spring water for your private home. I'm not sure if you can use the connection to heat your home (like heated floors and such).
Nice. I was in Miyazaki for 10 days over new year and went to Oita on the way back to Kanto: I go regularly so will definitely pop in. (I am going this week actually….) Kirishima also has that methane smell. I will go to the onsen you suggest.
Was looking for onsen in Ginza and remembered it look like a more traditional place, i have tattoo and cannot find any answer which one i can go. Are the ones in OITA more tattoo friendly?
