Hello, I am a Shia from Azerbaijan. To the good and hospitable people of Iraq. I have traveled to Iraq 10 times. They are one of the most hospitable people.
We do not worship the tomb of the Imam, but rather accept it and greet him and bless him because he is the author of a great message and a guardian of God’s guardians. We only worship God. /🖤💜
@@tazboy1934 I was honestly thinking who are these folks who run with these non sense rumors about Shia and causing conflicts between Muslims that I saw your answer...it is heart breaking 💔 when I read these false accusations 😢 😭 May Allah help them 🙏

Those buildings are out of this world, just by looking at it on film like this, cannot imagine how it would be in real life. Wish I could see it one day with my own eyes. Incredible.
Dear Jonathan I visited karbala about a month ago. I have been to so many countries and cities, but I have not seen a place like karbala. Go to karbala and experience the peace, the spirituality which is beyond unique. I will visit karbala and najaf again and again.
Two corrections:- 1. Holiest place for Shia muslims is Kaaba in Mecca (Ref:- I'm Shia, Proof:- People were praying inside shrine towards Kaaba in the video) 2. Christians (as well as Jews and some Brahmans) come to shrine to pay their respects to Imam, not to worship him. (No one worships him, It's just love and a phenomenon called 'tawassul').
Worship is according to Merriam-Webster is to honor or show reverence for as a divine being or supernatural power or to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion which both apply in Karbala since Hussein is considered to have supernatural powers as an Imam in the Shiite doctrine. Most Muslims would think of tawassul (asking for needs from a dead person) as shirk (association or deviation from monotheism). Indeed the Shiites have the biggest pilgrimage in the world even bigger than the Islamic ritual at Mecca
@@moatmj60 tawassul is allowed in traditional sunni islam too...plus no muslim believe that the imam, saints or prophet provide on their own like how Allah provide...they are just a mean...just like if i ask someone a peace of bread ...its not shirk...because i know the bread comes from God ,of course there is a whole lot of processed to make the bread but in first place it come from God
@@moatmj60 And your definition of Worship has many flaws. Worship (Arabic = Ibadat) in muslim tradition to the very core means absolute submission.. Literally the very last source to where you submit (By submit I mean "Itaa'ah" in Arabic as i can not find equivalent word in english but it essentially means "To follow") In Qur'an, We have been asked to "Ita'ah" Allah as well as Mohammad SAWW and Ulil Amr, this is not shirk as You follow both in hierarchial way. You don't follow prophet Mohammad SAWW thinking he has commandments of his own but every thing he asks from mankind is from God himself. That's why believers are asked to "Submit" To him (Wa'sallimu Tasleemah). This is not shirk as Allah himself has asked us to "Tasleem" to Prophet Mohammad SAWW. This is the origin of "Tawassul". When you "Tasleem" to Allah it's essentially worship because it's the last source you ask for your needs. Since Shias put All 12 imams to be descendants of Mohammad SAWW and place them with same privilege over believers, hence it is obligatory for muslims to submit for each imams after prophet Mohammad SAWW be them present in this world or not.
@@moatmj60 And the Arba'een "Pilgrimage" is called as such but many shias take offence from calling it that because for them it's nothing more than commemoration of a historical event and the rituals that follows. Ofcourse it is not obligatory like Hajj pilgrimage is for all Muslims. Difference is, Shias participate in Arbaeen out of their immense love for Imam Hussein AS nothing else.
I have never seen anything like it and would not have imagined something like that exists there. It is fascinating to see it with it's colourful tiles, chandeliers, beautiful carpets and gold and silver decorations.
All the world's gold, all the diamonds, and everything is expensive is nothing in front of Hussein, because the owner of a lofty message presented himself, his children and loved ones for the sake of justice, all the goods of the universe are nothing in front of what he gave us💗💗💗💗🇮🇶
I’m an Arab and I am amazed to see it for the first time from the inside. Iraq is a beautiful place with amazing people truly amazing. I just hope that things go great for them. Thank you I really enjoyed this vid. Iraqis a7bkom hwayahh❤️
Thank you for sharing your visit to Kerbala - a place which Shia Muslims refer to as a piece of Paradise on Earth - so when you said that it was a unique place you are right. I also wanted to make a slight correction if you do not mind. You made a comment - perhaps a slip of the tongue - that people come to Kerbala to worship the Imams. It should be known that Muslims do not come to Kerbala to worship the personalities buried there, most notably Imam al-Husayn, peace be upon him, Muslims (Shia) ONLY worship Allah, the One True God. However they come to the shrine of individuals like Imam Husayn, peace be upon him, or his brother, Abul Fadhl al-Abbas, peace be upon him, or indeed their father buried in Najaf, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, to pay their respects to them and recognize the sacrifices they gave for Islam. Shia Muslims and others, as you rightfully mentioned also come to these shrines, also recognize that their worship of God is amplified when they make prayers in these pieces of Heaven on Earth. I am looking forward to your trip to Najaf and beyond.
I would say, paying respect to the memories of believers and teachers. If I have offended anybody from the Islamic tradition I will delete this comment. Holy Places should welcome all and in this video, do. And Jason lives in a state of respect. Thank you.
@@Hadiqag Real Muslims are always emotional when they hear the story of Imam Hussain. The martyrdom of Imam Hussain is the most oppressive thing that had ever been done to anyone in history and the person who accept the calamity that befell Imam Hussain and standes with yazid is More evil than the son of satan
@@Hyghyt a lot of what shias claim happened, doesn’t actually have credible evidence behind it. Many sources contradict each other on the battle and events, and an even interesting fact: all the children of Ali, Hassan and Hussein who were named after companions were censored out
Welcome to Iraq. Iraq is your second country. I hope you will come to see the shrines of Imam Hussein and Abbas, as well as Imam Ali Fahm from the wonders of the world. Also, the media in all countries often shows the negative side of countries. I hope that you will attend the Ashura season. Everything is free. In this season, we show sadness over the killing of Hussein, the master of Paradise, so we wear black and give food and the young man free of charge, because Hussein is the master of Paradise and he is the grandson of Muhammad, the Messenger of Islam. He was killed thirsty and hungry to express our love for people and that he We will not allow people to remain hungry and thirsty like Hussein, the master of heaven❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰
this video is about imma e hussain , when our Allah tabarak wa tahla said who love mohammd mustafa I loved him, and rassol e pak said ı'm with hussain Or who are with ı'm with him, then what is the issue, we love our imam e hussain and Ahlebait,
@@turkcenasihatler Do not argue with us Shiites, because, as it is said about us, the owners of evidence, wherever he goes, we go with him. We have correct evidence from your books that prove our beliefs. As for the evidence, it is a hadith from our books
@wilhelmabukaiser7537 It depends how you look at it. If you look at the shrine as just a tomb, i think it's ok. Similar to Prophet Muhammad SAW tomb, if we visit it just as a tomb, it's not shirk. But if we come there and praying TO the tomb/to Prophet asking for forgiveness asking for something for our live, so we become shirk.
@wilhelmabukaiser7537 I am aware of those Syiah and what they do, how they put Prophet SAW dauther, grandchildren, Ali and so on equal to Allah SWT. But i respect who is buried in the shrine and NOT worship him, not asking for favor. I just admire the architecture of the shrine just just like i admire the architecture of Masjidil Haram and Madinnah Grand Mosque.

My friend think of this as one of the most luckiest moments in your life as Hussain Ibn e Ali and Abbas Ibn e Ali called you to their shrines. Not everyone is lucky to visit these places. These shrines are off those who were one the most poius, generous, forgiving, brave and just in their lives and never commited any Sins. Jason, Thank you so much for this video. You’re right when you say it’s out of this world. As a westerner I’m not sure I could’ve ever imagined that in Iraq. Truly stunning place and I’m not even there. I can only imagine what it was like for you and I hope to get there one day myself.
I always love Islamic architectures it always fascinated me and this mosque is so so stunning and breathtaking. I watch this video multiple times it's so wonderful and really Iraq never look this peaceful than before. Thank You for showing me this fabulous mosque. 💕🇮🇳
The architecture and decorative aspects of those two mosques are truly stunning and amazing. Thank you, Jason, for showing all this that most of us never get a chance to personally observe.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Iraq. As Iraqis we are not what the media paints us as. We are peaceful loving people who accommodate all our guests.
I have been going to the shrine of Imam Hussein for the past 16 years, and every time I go I am amazed again. The air in the shrine is strangely clean and calms nerves. I feel as if there is nothing there but beauty and purity.
Oh my, Jason! Thank you for showing us the Holy Shrines of Karbala! This is one of my fav videos you have done thus far. I was left breathless by the shrines several times. Must have been truly one of the most magnificent experiences of your lifetime! So happy you got to experience this! I always enjoy seeing the local people and markets. One can almost smell it and taste it! Much appreciated. Happy travels!🥰🌿🙏

A very beautiful video!! I had no idea this existed in Iraq! Thanks for doing this! Also, I really love the music you use for your videos. It's a perfect compliment to the mood of your work!
Believe it or not, during the many times I had visiting the shrines I've never seen the roof of the entrance. We always enter the shrines with duaa (supplication) for asking permission to go inside. If you still there I highly recommend that you have some time to spend it inside the shrines alone and call for your lord for fulfilling your needs. The spirituality is incredible there, one may find himself no matter what. Thanks for sharing this great zyara!
Wow! It’s amazing how grounded and centered and in tune you are reflecting and transmitting the real essence of this land and the vibrations it holds to this day not to mention how respectful you genuinely are! 🙏 I was born in Baghdad and as a meditator i am able to receive so much just watching the video and seeing the colors and hearing the sounds and the way you make your videos so calmly! Heartfelt Gratitude 🙏🌸🤍

Did anyone get upset with you for filming in there? I kept thinking someone was going to get mad for feeling that it was an intrusion. Nonetheless, it is magnificent. I hope the people of Iraq find peace, happiness, and prosperity. They have dealt with so much trauma they deserve peace.
Nobody did actually. It helped that I had an entourage of men in suits behind me (some of the top people who gave me the permission). Think that scared any sceptics away!
