I Visited The Worst Football Stadium in England 

Big up Bolton for holding out a clean sheet against a Premier League side btw! Oh & this ground is iconic. Time will eventually come for Luton to upgrade but whilst Kenny road is there, go check it out 👌🏻

Luton is a proper football stadium surround by the community. Not like these new stadiums built in the middle of nowhere.

Thank you for this fair review of the Luton ground, yes it is in an old part of the town but I could tell that you and your fellow fans were really enjoying your time at the match. Yes there is something really special about 'The Kenny' and sadly it probably will be lost when the new stadium is eventually built.

I think it is fantastic with Luton, from a non leauge team with a stadium, with the most iconic away end.

I remember when Luton and us were relegated to league two together in 2007/2008 thinking we would both get liquidated and then we were both docked more points in 2008/2009. I will forever respect Luton and glad we’re both in the premier league together these days. 🍒 👒

Just the path into the stands already makes it quirky, different and interesting... It's neither modern, convenient nor particularly safe. But it's unique, characterful and has a certain charm. All of which are hallmarks of - at least for my taste - a great venue.

Was at Luton yesterday, obviously! Didn’t see thogden. Im an absolute massive Luton fan and have my WHOLE life! Very disappointed bout the result, we should’ve won, we were all over yous in the second half! You wanderers had THE BEST away games I’ve ever seen. Hats off to you guys.

Kenilworth Road has become unique over time, as grounds which shared similar characteristics have been lost. Filbert Street had turnstiles built into houses too, sadly I never went there. A good few years ago I went to the Manor Ground at Oxford, that was another tightly packed in atmospheric ground, a proper jumble of stands and terraces. Such old grounds had real character any many ways were better places to enjoy the game than from the bland bowls which despite being modern have cramped and uncomfortable seats (yes I know Luton's seats are cramped but the ground isn't built as a purpose built all seater). I've been to Kenilworth Road a couple of times. First time in the away end and the second as neutral after I told my girlfriend about it and she wanted to see it for herself. Funny it's not so long ago you could easily buy a ticket for a game. Just shows what success does for crowds.

This is English football at it's best and with the jam playing in the background (town called malice), what a Saturday I wish I could of been there

As a Luton fan I love the stadium even though I only went there last season vs Grimsby as I live in the midlands. As you said it is an iconic stadium and all the haters are not real football fans and only like modern things and note some good old fashion PS: I was the Matthale who got a shout out on bunches.

I find the ground of Lutons way better then ,what Bolton plays in, some soulless ground in the middle of nowhere next to a motorway! With no amenities around it! Give me lutons ground any day of the week! At least it has pubs and other amenities in walking distance plus your view is closer to the pitch!

Well done to bolton from a luton fan. Really lacked in capitalising our chances today. And the atmosphere wasn’t as good as other matches. The bolton fans were great though, loud throughout the whole game. A well thought and deserved draw for bolton.

Most new football grounds are characterless and soulless and just an extension on retail parks. I love the old grounds embedded into the community and we’re losing that rapidly. It’s difficult to articulate but if you rip a club out of the community, you rip the the community out of the club. When Coventry left Highfield Road I was devastated. It was a great old ground with a lot of atmosphere and a beating heart and we swapped that for the lifeless stone tomb of the Ricoh/CBS. Progress doesn’t always mean that things get better.

Luton Fan here. Glad you got to experience the iconic away entrance!! The 'old girl'(Kenilworth road) to Luton fans is a thing of beauty. Was quiet from Luton fans for this game but the atmosphere is rediculous when the crowd are up cos it's so tight in. Bolton noisy though!!! Rnjoy the reply.

There’s something raw and nice seeing Theo record and upload Bolton games. Just awesome seeing him happy and having fun being a fan at the game for the team in his heart. The big games of bigger teams are fun too, but these videos are what made me find and sub to him in the first place

Glad u managed to visit our Kenny, It will be severely missed when we eventually move. Good to see you guys could see it was a penalty from the other end as well 😂 We were poor on the day, lack of running, didn’t want it enough. But you were set up well and probably played better. We could do without the extra game at this point though 😬 I’ve been going to the Kenny since the 90’s, it’s a bit of a heap in places… but it’s our heap.

Everton fan here, Goodison may be an amazing stadium which we’re moving soon, but I’ll admit Kenilworth Road is a beautiful stadium with so much character to it. It does truly feel like a stadium with an amazing atmosphere.
