Congratulations Daniel. I deer hunted for most of my life with my beloved father (I lost him 3 years ago to Parkinson disease). We always filled our tags. But to me, the time I spent with my beloved Daddy was far more important than the hunt. Watching you hunt with Emily and Houston always brings me to tears. I pray that they will cherish these times with you, dad, as much as I have. Have a most blessed day!

I miss my husband and hunting season. He enjoyed hunting deer so much and provided us with venison throughout the year. He passed July 2019 so what venison we had, is now all gone. That's about all we ate. I'm adjusting, and love that hunters are out, providing for their families. That is one handsome buck, my husband got some very good bucks on his field cams, 6 points are as big as he got. My husband was a lefty too, caused him to miss shots. I have his hunting stuff but don't think I could take down a deer. Patience is key. Oh he is beautiful. Congrats Daniel, he is such a beautiful buck.

I think bow hunting is great, natural, respective! My husband bow hunter, I went with him. We both had bows, he of course had the hunters bow and arrows. They sure have changed since the 50/60/70s. Even now with a scope. I was holding my breath... wow what a great buck and a great shot...🦌🦌🦌🦌👏👏👏👏

Yes Daniel, another great video. I think it is great to let your kids have the opportunity but I am glad you got your buck. The fact that you eat what you hunt is a great lesson for folks. Congratulations on your second try. Patience pays off. I was also impressed when watching and listening to you with EmmaLee as you both weighed the darkness that was setting in during a previous hunt. Laws are to be followed and you and EmmaLee did just that when you decided to wrap up a hunt when darkness and time restrictions impacted the hunt. What a great lesson. I am proud of both of you.

Congrats Daniel!! That's a magnificent animal! Your patience paid off and you couldn't have had a better outcome. Not everyone would have passed up on him last year. You are a great role model for your younger (and older) viewers. You are teaching the younger, up and coming hunters to be ethical and patient and you're teaching their parents how to be a responsible parent so that they can raise fine young men and women.

If you teach someone to hunt and fish and they can feed them selves and their families and friends and it's better meat then store bought meat when handle proper

I like the analogy of your description of your left handed slider after missing the dear on the first shot. The camera captured the action of the arrow perfectly. To see that arrow rise and dip and fly right under that deer was shocking, especially after the buildup. I’m glad you made the adjustment and eventually got your deer. Congratulations Daniel!

Beautiful shot, interesting how you count the points. In my area it would be a nice 5 point. You count one side only. The size differences in deer are amaising from different areas of the country. I wonder what weight differences are since the racks look wider, is the weight similar or different as well. Still a fantastic shot with a bow and a beautiful buck. Great eating tonight. Proud hunter moment caught on video.

Up here I have heard them referred to as a 5 by 5, and 10 point, never by one side only as I have seen many that are uneven sided (3 by5 or 8 point, 2 by 3 or 5 point or a bambie, etc. anything over 10 point you are lucky to see up here and they are auto "trophy" bucks - we had one that was 5 by 6 within city limits - Game fish and parks listed him as protected from the city hunt season meaning if someone got him within the city hunt limits they were not allowed to keep him and his meat would be donated to the food pantry - never did hear if he was harvested or what happened to him after that year).

Earl is a great dog at tracking. They know how to pick their pups. Callie was much loved by Her family. I like most everyone else watching the #Arms miss Callie. Did you happen to see that last video of her walking to the creek? It was like she just had to be near her creek just one more last time. I cried watching that last farewell 🥺
