As a Texan I can confirm that any Texans who were actually offended by this episode are a bunch of weak asses.

I also attended elementary in Texas, but my experience was the exact opposite. We LOVED this episode. Used to sing the song in class all the time too.

@3Katanas is today an appropriate answer? Y'all already have met all the characters that aren't new to the movie, so you're good to watch it now if you want to. The show doesn't really have much continuity, and what little it does have is already established.

@@quirkyquotareacts well, the movie can be watched any time but it came out between after Season 3 and before Season 4. If you're curious about the sequels, the second movie (Sponge Out of Water) was released during Season 9 and the third (Sponge On the Run) was around Season 12 or 13.

The first movie was originally supposed to be the END of SpongeBob!

I think they changed his tan skin color cause with all the race issues that have been going on they probably wanted to make sure no one now a days would say something like “oh my god SpongeBob’s skin is dark brown that’s racist why did Nickelodeon allow this back then?!” Especially since back then it wasn’t a big problem as it is now sadly.

Yeah! But she had to learn the hard way that her new friends needs her and was trying to make things better so she wasn’t homesick anymore.

Now I realized that the fact that she is strong, athletic, and resilient has made her a boastful, proud person who is unable to appreciate the seriousness of the situation because of her pride, she doesn't want to face the truth, she has no humility - if she was told that they would not listen to her, this means that it will be so. And don't care what she thinks about it. Sandy did not know the truth that says , "Don't say you're strong, you'll meet someone stronger". The fact that in one episode she admitted at the end that the worm is larger, and therefore physically stronger than her, is only because SpongeBob forced her, but, basically, Sandy doesn't have the honor to recognize someone else's primacy. That's why I don't like her anymore
