It was an example.. Her father was the first man in her life. And just like every women that want fathers to make decisions, I mean that they lead the house and provide for it. And girls grow up experiencing that and it’s good. it’s not wrong for her to want those qualities in her husband-

That’s my point. When men do what they instinctively do which is to lead and make decisions, feminism will say those men are backward and controlling and anti women. But when they don’t do it they are told they are not masculine or they come emasculated, sometimes by the same people. A man can make the final decision but nothing wrong with asking for the opinion of those around him.
I remember the story of Prophet Ibrahim visited Prophet Ismail home, he was not at home and his wife (she dont know that is Prophet Ibrahim which is Prophet Ismail father) answered the door. So Prophet Ibrahim asked her how is her condition, and she started complaining, to a complete stranger. To cut the story short, Prophet Ibrahim tells her to send his salam to Prophet Ismail and change the boundary of his doorstep. When Prophet Ismail gets the message from his wife, he immediately divorced her because that is the message from his father. Moral of the story: Wife and husband should keep their problem and discuss within themselves. Dont tell people your problem or your achievement. Unless it becomes necessary, then talk to your elder.

So initially theres a bond on the basis the man submits to the financial demands. That even the richest brothers can’t sustain. So, As they go deeper into debt the man has to work more or harder to pay off the financial hole he’s in. All the while the womans demands don’t let up (cultural feminized modern women-not all women). From my observation this is where the drama starts. And soon as the woman starts to mentally check out all the money and gifts don’t really seem to have the same affect. Which to me is why the divorce rate is at 50ish % within our community. People don’t prioritize their faith at any point throughout the marriage.

Years ago I confronted my Ex-wife about her bad behavior and negative attitude, she claimed I was "Too controlling". At that point I decided to fulfill her desires and for a whole month I was very passive in our decision making. The first couple of days she liked it but by the end of the month her bad behavior and attitude returned even stronger. When I confronted her again she gave me the same B.S this girl said. At that point I knew the solution was to make her my Ex.

Not all men know how to lead, but encouraging them in the right direction can help. Father treating his kids shouldn’t be held at the same level. Husbands love is vastly different than fathers. Some women tend to forget that a lot of times if it were up to us men, we would just stay at home and chill. Me taking you out or asking you what you wanna eat is just a way to show my appreciation and respect. When things need to be done, i’ll be the first to wake up, but because i’m quite indecisive when it comes to to certains stuff which to be honest most of the time we just don’t care too much about them (what to eat tonight or what are we gonna do today), that means i am quite passive and indecisive ? Some people are just spontaneous or have other things to think about. I don’t care what my favorite color is nor my favorite dish, it’s not gonna pay the bills. Give me whatever food you have, i’ll take it as long as it fits in my stomach. Sometimes i might want to eat something and it’s okay

Firstly, I just wanna start off by saying gathering and free mixing like this is haram to begin with. Onto the main point, there is no issue with a man finding out what his wife likes and dislikes. Communicating this will build your love and relationship even more. A woman is not a child and cant just sit their and expect to be given a husband that knows everything about her. This mindset is so ridiculous. The sister said her dad treats her like a queen and princess, well sorry to bring you back to reality, but you are a servant of Allah, the almighty. Therefore, instead of expecting your husband to take the wheel and do things that you like, you should expect him to bring you closer to Allah foremost. Your husband can see you as a queen in his eyes because of his love for you and that is healthy because you should love your wife to those levels, but dont expect a guy to be like your dad. Once again. You’re misunderstanding the point. Communication is important but a man can still take charge. You obviously are triggered by this. I know I am a person who just wants to chill while my father or brothers do my work and look after me and fulfill all my needs... my father is driving the vehicle while I am just chilling like a 2 year old but I do know that this wouldn't be the case with my husband.. we will have to work together and live our life with trial and error....Also the one thing that I have learnt from my mother and the married women around me is that what happens in the bedroom should stay in bedroom...if u start talking about it outside...it will take so horrific turns.... so either be mature and communicate well with eachother or tell someone who you know can solve your problem
There are both passive men and women who like being in control. They also deserve to be accepted for who they are. There's no such thing as 'masculine' or 'feminine'. These are mere stereotypes constructed by society. I for one would never want to have another person make every decision of my life. It would suffocate me. Wow, this is mad strang because she also called him an amazing man. Not once did she say he was not handling his business. I wish my wife was like that. Every time I do or plan anything, she will come back saying you don't care about me. It's all that you want to do. "How about the things I like and want to do" so this doesn't work with every woman.
Taking the lead when it comes to leisure/recreation is not what you think it is. I say this as a father and husband. I am far too busy to plan out the minutiea of days out, unless it's a holiday/road trip that needs proper planning. Otherwise, i genuinely feel like it's the wife's responsibility to take that on. A man has family responsibilities, work, community stuff going on, maybe some kind of learning/self-development, and they should also fined time somewhere to plan trips to the zoo? Am I the only one that thinks this is the woman's domain?

It takes guts to put your opinion on here for us to criticize. I really respect her courage! Your father is NOT your husband. To your father you are his child. Why would you expect your husband to treat you like a child as well? Marriage is a partnership. Also there are no more princesses in today's western society. Men don't get to lead anymore due to the equality and safety. That's life. I work with a bunch of strong nonmuslim women, who treats their husbands as a partner and not a leader, they make it work. They communicate clearly what they want. They are good helpful people. I therefore regard this "princess" behavior s childish. If anything, be a strong "queen". Don't be the additional child in the relationship. Most men will do anything for their wife, and live by the "happy wife, happy life" mentality. Nobody wants an indecisive princess to be there mother of their future children. How are they going to survive if anything happens to the man? Be strong. @amp1ify Noone said she can't talk. Women just value assertiveness, we don't want to always to have answers, that's part of male leadership. But ask your women, you mind find some do prefer making those decisions but others especially depending on upbringing don't want to.
