I think people want everything of something. For me it's handling and speed. If I want comfort I get a x5 30d, sporty things g80, m5 cs, m2cs, that area.

I've come to a realization a long time ago that a good car is one where you don't wish it was better in some way. I've driven a few cars and in all of the sedans I wished they were slightly higher. Not a g wagon high but slightly. When I drove cars like the g wagon I wished they handled better. Not like a porsche gt3 but just better. When I drive my x6m I don't wish it could handle better or be faster or be better off road. It just comfortably handles all the situations that I put it in. Whether it's throwing it around some canyon road or driving around a construction site. Never any issue. I just think people miss the point when they say "the m5 handles better and the g class is better off road so the x6 is pointless". The point is you compromise a huge chunk of practicality and comfort in the m5 to be 5% faster. And you comprosme a huge chunk of handling and speed in the g class to be a little be better off road. (When most people don't drive these cars in forests anyway). The x5m doesn't compromise anything it gets the best of both worlds.

i used to have X5m G05 and new X5m is a peace of shit! It is slower then G05 X5m.

I have an e70 x5 40d which is more than enough performance, comfort and economy and I love it, couldn't ask for anything more even though its not cheap to maintain. Would love an M car but couldn't justify the maintainence and servicing costs, maybe a 50d msport x6 could be my next car if i can find a nice one, then the misses can drive the x5.

@@hexagonosaurus5848 That in fact is a dumb statement. In my particular case the X5 50e suits my needs perfectly. Firstly solar panels on the roof of my house supply the car from March to September with "fuel" for free! Secondly the car acts as an additional battery for our System so we can use 25 kw/h on top of our 13 kw/h battery system. That statement is just wrong - I still run the car with a 3l inline 6 325 hp engine in case we're going on a longer journey.

The 50e and M60i are great cars and can do so much. But in reality the driving experience and even seat feel is very different than the full M version. Went from an F85 to the LCI and driven bunch of other X5 in between and it’s a very different experience. I do like the daily convenience of the hybrid but I enjoy the 2 mile trip to drop the kids to school with a nice rumble much more

Are you talking about the 2020 facelift on X3? Otherwise X3 doesn’t have an LCI yet. There will be a new gen of X3 coming later 2024 as 2025 model tho

To be honest,the XM is the BMW no one asked for..too big,too heavy,too expensive,powerful but because of the weight,its slower than the X5M,so why get it?! Great hob with the X7 though.. what a car that must be😭😭

Who is pushing the four cylinders, really? Are you mentioning the new C 63 AMG? That is a D segment car, and this one is an E segment car, a direct competitor to the GLE 63 AMG. So, even Mercedes is still offering a V8. Actually, you know what, all of the manufacturers are still offering V8s in this segment. So, no one has switched to four cylinders. That is false. The truth is, though, you're looking at one of the cars at this price category and segment, this particular one is the only one without air suspension. So, we can easily say they cheaped out on building a sporty air suspension for F95/F96, which was one of the things they should have taken from Bimmerpost forums. Everyone, literally, said this car lacked the comfort it should have from the beginning, plus the weird tyre/wheel sizings (ETs and geometry). I'd definitely get an X5M if it had a proper air suspension, carbon ceramics as an option, a better steering feel, and quicker transmission.

@@JoeAchilles1, totally, there’s nothing not to love about these (or any!) Michelins! (Although for my black ‘11 TTS I went with the factory recommended Continental ExtremeContacts when I replaced them in the spring of ‘22.)

Alpins are great but I think x-ice do even better overall. Alpines are more performance oriented over snow. Still great.

I just bought some for my GLE on sale buy 3 get 4th for $1. Storing them for next winter.
