Enjoying my time in Osaka whilst feeling slightly vulnerable and out of my comfort zone as I share what’s on my mind with you. Thank you for making this a place for me to open up ❤️

Your videos have helped me so much in ed recovery! I also used to be a long distance runner before/ during my ed, so seeing you run again has been encouraging me to get better soon. ❤

One thing I had to understand when I needed to regain a lot of strength & weight was that I can’t rely on my hunger. Since my hunger got me to that point, I can’t really just not eat cause I’m not really feeling it. I had to set a structured routine to really eat 5-6 meals a day even if I didn’t feel like it! Maybe it was late at night & I’m full from dinner but I know that it’s not enough so I try to grab for some nuts or avocado or something cause going after my hunger cues rn isn’t what’s actually right. It’s really hard but still really important. And once I ate more my hunger cues changed and definitely got “more right” which kept me at a healthy steady weight/strength level instead :) I hope you’re enjoying your time in Japan 🩷🩷🩷

Yes- so true…. If I follow my hunger cues, I’d not even be eating once a week… honest to god. And it would be at a very odd time!!

I resonate 100% with what you’re saying and you’re absolutely right. Speaking for myself and past experience, I know that’s the way to do it. It’s been a week since I recorded this video and I can already sense a feeling of normality, slowly coming back, even though it’s tough to try and fill a stomach which already feels full to the top. Thank you🤍🤍

I love the transparency and vulnerability you share with your audience, It truly shows how genuine of a person you are. I find your videos simple and sweet because they are easily relatable regardless of a viewers background or where they come from. You provide such a seamless human to human connection by just being yourself and that will always win. Happy to see the radical acceptance and i look forward to seeing more of your "get strong/run strong" journey! *and food critique.

Appreciate your vulnerability, I’d imagine there is a bit of a learning curve with incorporating strength training and marathon training. The great thing is you are self aware and are using constructive feedback in a positive way. Keep having fun in Japan in the mean time.

You should try those egg thingies they make and put on sticks. The stuff they roll A BUNCH of times around itself till it's a small long roll, and then put a stick into it. Can't remember the name of it, but it's very popular among street food shops! EDIT: It's called Tamagoyaki ! :D

What helped me to balance my weight goals, running and weight lifting was to consult a sports dietitian. I highly recommend! ;) What I thought before was "healthy eating" is sometimes not the most appropriate when doing a lot of (endurance) sports. Maybe this helps and makes you consider this option as well :)

You haven't lost strength. You just lost weight that you need to gain back. Idk how you get your period running so much and being underweight. You have done it before so you can do it again.

I don't know about table manners in your country, but in Japan, it's good manners to hold a plate while eating. If you eat katsudon, hold the bowl in your palm while eating.

Nothing is in English!! I've heard even in Tokyo the street signs are all in Japanese, crazy -- how do tourists get around? That alone is a reason I don't want to go to Japan, I won't buy food that I can't read what it is or the price.
@katharinaschneiderr
@katharinaschneiderr 26 дней назад
Not true. Yes, most things are displayed in Japanese and especially local restaurants, shops etc. but you won’t have any troubling finding you way around. In most cities a lot of the signs will be in both Japanese and English. The price is in yen, the Japanese currency so you can calculate it to your own :) Even though google translate will be your friend.

If you don't want to go to Japan, you don't have to go. It's nonsense to complain when you haven't actually experienced it.
@purseypurslane
@purseypurslane 9 дней назад
@@sima1ta3ke That's exactly why I don't want to go to Japan, the language barrier is very unwelcoming. I'm not complaining cuz I want to go, I'm stating why I DON'T ever want to go there.

Please choose a more traditional restaurant, your choice is a restaurant chosen by poor people. It's the worst sushi in Japan lol😅

we've tried both high class omakase sushi and conveyor belt. We travel for a long time and need to prioritise to spend our money wisely - and we do enjoy all of it :)
@fuelaccum3398
@fuelaccum3398 6 дней назад
@@katharinaschneiderr Yeah, you're right. Even Japanese people often opt for conveyor belt sushi for everyday meals. A traditional sushi restaurant can cost 5,000yen, so unless you're wealthy, you don't go there often. And for high-end sushi places, it's over 30,000yen, so you only go on very special occasions.🍣
@katharinaschneiderr
@katharinaschneiderr 6 дней назад
@@fuelaccum3398 exactly. We mainly went to places like this one in the video and only had omakase twice. Not only did it help the budget but the experience more special :)
