Kristin Chenoweth and Stephen Colbert both share an invisible illness. Stephen is profoundly deaf in his right ear from a tumour removal, while Kristin has Meniere's disease in her left ear leaving her with hearing and balance loss in that ear. They're both so professional that no one would ever notice from their interactions with one another. That's from decades of learning techniques to get around the hearing impairment. Standing ovation for both of them. 👏👏👏

My wife has Bi-Lateral Meniere's. You have no idea how bad this deasese can be. Proud of Kristin for letting people know about her deasese because most people have never heard about this. Also I live just north of Broken Arrow, OK Love you Kristin 😍

I've never even seen wicked and have so much love and respect for this lady because of everything else she's done on theatre and TV. She's so many leagues beyond the most popular artists these day but doesn't care, she will sing circles around anyone (literally... dancing while maintaining perfect high pitched vibrato is HARD, ya'll) and she always looks like she's having the most fun, so much so that just seeing her on screen fills up my energy tank for the rest of the week. much love!!

A proper way to say what you were trying to say is "I believe I am intelligent enough to see the bias in your statements." I sat a row behind Kristin at a Broadway play. As she made her way out of the row and was close to me, I sang her the first line of "Glitter and Be Gay" (about an octave low) and she laughed, because she said she had a cold and she had about that range at the time. Very sweet and friendly. This was before Covid, or I wouldn't have gotten close! :-)

Back in January 1999: I got tickets for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which was briefly playing at a a Chicago suburban theater on its way to Broadway. I was excited because it was starring Anthony Rapp as Charlie Brown and BD Wong as Linus, so that’s who I was stoked to see going in. On the way out, my mom and I couldn’t stop talking about Roger Bart as Snoopy and Kristin Chenoweth as Sally. We just knew they were both going to be huge stars, especially her. She was amazing! Completely stole the show, and the extended scene with the two of them just doing some great “action” showdown moves was the highlight of the evening.

Interesting to note that Ariana Grande was able to get backstage at a performance of Wicked when she was 10 years old. A play that was so expensive at the time that most people wouldn't even dream of taking a 10 year old. Proving the modern trend of recording artists being the children of Filthy rich parents. Just a recap of singers who grew up as rich kids, Taylor Swift, Adam Levine, Jordin Sparks, Lady Gaga. Is there any singer from the last 20 years that grew up poor, like Jay-z, J-Lo, or Prince? Billie Eilish talking about 'not' being rich, "We couldn't afford horseback riding lessons!" Prince talking about how poor they were, "We used to go to McDonald's and stand outside just to smell stuff".

@@margo3367 it's much easier for us to come in terms with our "flaws" while these women are always under extreme scrutiny by many throughout their lives. They're forced to look or act a certain way or else they're not given their deserved credit or attention. Also I'm pretty sure many celebs who get work done are made to do that by their management and they have no say in it + they are made to deny about it as well.

I had the pleasure of seeing her in the closing night of her Broadway debut in Steel Pier. I remember her after the show coming through the stage door in tears and sweetly signing autographs through the tears. Karen Ziemba played the lead. One of my memorable Broadway moments. I quite liked the show despite its early demise
