Things are getting challenging and it's safe to say we've entered the darkest part of our journey so far. I severely underestimated the difficulty of this swing change and I'm fresh off my worst score since High School. We are at a major inflection point in this process, and if we fail to get through this, the whole experiment will come crumbling down.

Sounds like you remember your "WHY". Now its time to fall in love with the process and all the hard work that lies ahead. Stay committed to your your direction, your trajectory and your convictions. Thank you for the support! It was a pleasure getting to play with you, absolutely elite call taking the 3 wood over the water. Easily the best shot of the day, theres something to be said for just playing loose and going for it.

Don’t forget to have fun Ben. Golf to me, is more than just the score. It’s the environment, the highs/the lows, the smell of the greens. The feel of the way the club hits the ball. I hope that helps with your focus on the game

All those little things are the reason I'm in love with golf. But it's sure is a lot easier to focus on them when you're playing well haha. You're right though, my focus needs to be on fun and playing for the love of the game, not to shoot some score.

I almost gave up multiple times after I first turned pro. First big event I played, three-day Hooters Winter Tour event outside Orlando, I shot 80 in my first round. Had me thinking, "I quit my regular job for this?" Next day just let my swing flow and had a 30 on the first nine. In another two-day mini-tour event, while I too was going through a swing change, I put up a big old 92 on the first day scorecard. Next day shot 72. It's golf, it's crazy, it's frustrating, just keep at it. My pro career starts over on April 15 with the Florida Senior Open Championship qualifier. My swing feels ready, my consistency is an issue.

I really appreciate you sharing this, it's so helpful hearing how others have gone through similar struggles. It's easy to start feeling like everyone else has it figured out and I'm stuck in reverse. I'll be cheering for you on April 15th, let me know how it goes!

Man, I needed this today! I'm going through the same, exact mental fight. Keep with it. There is no quit in us. Maybe we will be on tour someday and can look back at this. If you ever need to talk, let me know.
