I Was A Harry Potter Cover Artist 

I literally had a conversation yesterday about how I missed the painting style of book covers back then. Now everything is so minimal and effortless, it really feels soulless. The old book cover arts really feel timeless and charming.

The HBP cover really was peak and definitely the one I remember the most. But his more recent inked style is just mesmerizing and so expressive *.*

Those covers were totally iconic man, even as a kid I could recognise how great they were. Props to Jason man

Harry Potter covers are so magical and diverse. Love to check out the covers from different editions and languages.

I always thought the cover for the last book was an odd choice. It’s a strange scene to pick, and I agree that a darker image would’ve suited the tone of the book more. It makes sense that it was made in such a disjointed way.

I remember seeing those in book stores and it was like a glimpse into the future movies. They just sparked as much imagination as the written contents did.

We also got those covers in Canada and I was always happy about that. I was at one point designing a big HP cross-stitch for myself and I loved the style of the Order of the Phoenix cover and his interpretation of the Phoenix, it inspired me a lot.

Really interesting stuff. I think Half Blood Prince captures Harry's age better than most covers. While I like the Jonny Duddle covers, I think Harry looks like he never ages.

I always thought that some of the book titles and covers were strange choices. Like what did a phoenix really have to do with that book?

Not gonna lie but I bought the adult cover for the deathly hallows because I didn't like the children's one. However, my absoloute favourite is the order of the phoenix. Your current style though is exquisite!!!!!

The book covers at @0:24 will always be THE covers for me. I'll accept no others, sorry haha. Those are the covers I remember seeing on my mum's bookshelf that intrigued me and they're the covers I knew as the books were released over the years.

4:51 I'm not sure that was a mistake. I've always thought of Harry's scar being above his right eye like in the movies, but I'm not sure the books ever ACTUALLY say anything more specific than "forehead", so it may still be compatible with the books.

I have absolutely no clue why your videos aren't more popular. These videos are excellent, I love hearing from these people.

I love the order of the phoenix cover

My oldest sister was the perfect age to read all the Harry Potter books as they came out. I wasn't into reading back then, but I used to look at the covers and wonder, and for some reason, that "order of the phoneix" cover is permanently burned into my mind, and I strongly associate it with her, specifically the version of her that was just a kind, caring, older sister, before her life took a dark turn. She's since passed away, but sometimes the small things, like this video, bring back good memories. It might be a bit morbid, but I hope Jason knows that his artwork will forever have a deep emotional impact on me, and I appreciate it endlessly.

I think it's only a matter of time before your channel "hits it big." I think you'll look back on these early videos and see them as kindling for a bonfire. Or something. Good channel, deserves more attention. That's all I'm trying to say.
