Fun fact: at the village in the beginning of you go up the tower to wait the 3 minutes, climb up and move to the corner right side from table and in the tower and stand in the corner, you can not only wait out the full three minutes but also take no Molotov damage.

Imagine you’re walking into the village church, but it warps you to the entrance hall of the castle where Salazar introduces himself. It could be that walking into El Gigabyte’s boss room might take you to the novistador sewer. It’s all randomized.

I really wish Capcom would include randomizers in their games without us having to mod them in. This is fucking amazing but I'm too poor to rebuild my gaming PC just for this mod. Never got to try the resident evil 2 randomizer for N64 but I'm sure it's nowhere near this

Games with tight gameplay systems almost always work with randomizers. That's why Resident Evil games are great for them. You're forced to improvise with any option you can, bringing that old survival horror spirit back in after you have mastered the game. Honestly if there were any series that needed a stock randomizer, it would be Resident Evil.
