In this video I will tell you about the sad story of my tutorial level. I was having a lot of fun creating it, but unfortunately, something happened, and everything changed. Enjoy :)
There are many of them like him. However, he is the only one who works hard for his video and shows what he is doing and thats what it makes it interesting. Atleast thats what i think.
I know how it feels. I have lost, no joke, 52. GOD. DAMN. HOURS. of progress because I had to leave my PC on for a few days and my power went of for like 4 seconds. I genuinely cried for 4 and a half hours, went back to bed and didn't get up until the next day, where I cried some more.
I lost a month of work because I didn’t know that pressing load when signing into my account on a different device would actually load all my levels back. What happened was when I signed in I decided to make a level named Rift because I thought I couldn’t get my levels back when I sign in. After building the level I decided to save my account. That was a BIG mistake since it erased the last save which had the level that I spent a month on. When I realized what happened I had a similar reaction. A WHOLE month of work gone because I didn’t know that the load option could load the last data from the last save back.
This is why I ALWAYS make backups. The way I handle it is 1. Make a copy locally sometimes and any time I feel like I'm about to do something risky 2. Upload an unlisted friends only version of the project as a server backup that and depending on how important this project is to me, I either update inconsistantly or consistantly (gradfather, father, son approach) 3. I save my account if possible and load some of the progress on a different device if the project is inportant to me I played on GDPS Editor for the past 2 years, so I needed to make these adaptations to avoid absolutely shattering my levels and it worked pretty well so far.
Hayy vit, i just want to tell you to remember to always upload a unlisted copy of your progress to your account, that way this can never happen in any way! Sad to see it go, but i wish you luck on your next projects!
I relate to you so much, because 1 month ago I lost every single level I ever created since I started playing the game (around 8 month ago) because of a bug and I almost wanted to quit GD entirely, but I recover from it and I work on newer and cooler projects now :) Also this more simpler part looked so cool ! I'm sad that I'll never get to test it, but that's life ig
Yeah, losing progress can really suck, I can’t relate to what happened because I’ve lost, at most, 10 hours of work on a lvl because of unexpected circumstances. My situation was different, but I know the feeling of losing a lot of progress and not being motivated to build it again.
Tbh, I really don't blame you for not wanting to continue that level after that game crash. I would feel the exact same way If one of my effect levels crashed after I finished a part or effect In It.
i really feel bad for you especially since this happens to me almost every time i attempt to build a level and its really demotivating which is why I feel you for quitting you really did a good job on this level sad to see it go like this because of the unoptimized editor as much as I would like to see you try again with it because you should never back down or give up to a crash and I feel like giving it another go would be a good idea I really do feel you and I feel terrible for this
yea that happens a lot on me, especially when i lost my progress on collab parts, but yea just keep going, we cannot bring it back. Also, that was really cool and unique design that you made so far, great job!
dude its crazy that you even managed how to create the first part amazing and decorating. we are happy with anything you make we are just happy that you make these videos and levels. dont let a stupid glitch demotivate you. always believe and always chase your dreams. :D
I feel you man… 😔😔😔 It happened to me before as well. I lost like 10-15 hours of progress because of it and just ditched the level I was working on entirely. This happened to me couple of years ego and since then I have been paranoid about it. I save copies of my level every time I change something in them even if its like 15 minutes of change. I save my account after almost every other time I build. Even with this I am still scared of this bug because it can happened literally for no reason. I really hope it would be fixed in 2.2
Aww nooo That part looked really unique but although the part may be gone what you learned from building it stays You will go on yo do great things vit
ur the best glow creator ever no cap bro i love ur creating style ive been watching before i can remember i watch ur videos when i eat cereal wich is truly the biggest honour a man can give (ur truly one of the greates) oh yeah and i forgor that u have an awsome editing style
This EXACT scenario happened to me multiple times. I was making a really good level until thanos decided to snap his fingers for the love of death. I also lost all my motivation for the levels...
hi vit I'm a bit late, your level looks great. But I'm just sad, I'm trying to get a rating. But it didn't succeed :(( I know I shouldn't take it seriously but I just wanted to release my success. I don't know how to vent to anyone except you who knows about this. I hope the 2.2 rating system will be better. People who try to perform at a level that deserves recognition and rates.😢 I just watched your progress lost as painful as betrayal. I'm sorry. I hope you are in good spirits.❤❤❤❤ R.i.p 🌞
i always upload a backup as unlisted to the servers and every time i do something update it to avoid shit like that, i really know how it feels, i hope you find the motivation to continue it again :)))))))))
I had experienced this also before, one time i was making a layout, with moving objects, backgrounds, everything was going great, UNTIL THE UNEXPECTED HAPPENED, My IPad ran out of battery 😭😭, once i charged it, i went back to my layout, everything was gone 😢, i still have trauma to it to this day, this happended 5 months ago, i am still remembering it. Edit: why did i type this essay
I know how it feels. I made a level in, like, 10 hours. And then accidentally deleted it after trying to delete a copy. Here's some advice, get some motivation from a trusted result. And then maybe you can do it again. It worked for me.
most important thing is you really love to make level, like me, i can't upload my level but i still make a lots for some reason every of it i spent at least 5 hours in it, but i still make more.
