This is so grim and I am sorry this happened to you. On the second incident, please report it to the police - this is definitely a crime. It may be that there is little they can do after the event, but reporting it adds to the statistics. The police should also collect information about you as a victim, which is especially important if you feel the incident was motivated by your gender, age, race etc - this will also go some way to proving politically that this is a problem. I hope you complained about the first driver too; intrusive staring is absolutely not on and his comments about your badges/camera are stupid and unprofessional.
I'm so sorry.. _hugs_ It will come as no surprise that the Oldham Line was the one I was most fearful of filming, in the end did it over 2 days with early starts and early finishes to try to avoid the kinda time when the dodgy people are out. Next time you need to do Oldham, if you want safety in numbers, the 4 of us can do it together if you want?

It's not that everyone is bad there, but the bad eggs are just so horrible and for it to happen to me twice in one day really puts a disstain on the area
Omg I'm so sorry that happened. Honestly if something like either the Nexus or 426 events happened to me I would probably have deleted all the footage then and there, so massive kudos for having the courage to revisit that day in the edit. Sorry that happened to you, Lucy. Drivers who deliberately make passengers uncomfortable shouldn't be employed and people who randomly threaten strangers are just horrible individuals. first of all that Nexus driver should be sacked for that & i hope you have had success with that incident & i think its out of order that you had been threatened while going on with your daily business & that guy should be locked up for that & theres no need for that it makes my blood boil when i hear things like these happen & i hope your ok after those incidents & judging by the video i think you handled them very well & i still enjoyed watching as always & im looking forward to the next vlog
That is awful that you had to experience that twice in the same day,honestly terrible I can see why you'd be scarred from that. Fair play for even continuing after the nexus move incident, how someone like that can be employed as a bus driver is beyond me, good riddance! And as for literally being threatened that is out of order, you did nothing to provoke that guy, what a fckn weirdo.

That must have been an awful experience, I could feel the anxiety and distress from you. Some individuals are pretty unhinged and generally unpleasant to be around. Perhaps Stagecoach has video footage that can be used to help identify and locate the brute involved in the second incident. I am sure that there are many of your followers that would be happy to accompany you in the future if required.
Terribly sorry you have gone through this in the town I call home. The 356 is shocking, they literally have a trans employee who is lovely and you deserved to get instead! If you want a more plesant ride in the future let me know I can ensure you get on a bus with a warm and freindly driver like I experience on my morning commutes on the service, As for the 426... Fitton Hill is an unsavoury area I avoid as a local which Im sorry you had to go through but is not an isolated incident, known bus drivers who have been robbed there! The most I can say is that your unplesant expierence shouldnt be the last view of the town, if you do come back I can show you around if you so desire.
So sorry to see the incidents Lucy. Completely unacceptable. I’ve never heard of Nexus as I’m the other side of GM but they sound like a clown company. I know you may want to draw a line under the incident but you can always complain to the Traffic Commissioner about any bus company. I see Jen has offered to go with you and I’m sure others in the community will also but I will come also with G & you if you feel the need for more people.
Genuinely awful experiences, I'm so sorry this happened to you, as a fellow trans woman in the bus nerd space public transport generally is not accepting enough and needs to be sorted out. I hope that nexus driver is fired and their situation is professionally addressed. Take care of yourself!
sorry that had happened what right does that bus driver to threaten a passenger who is getting the bus and asking a load of questions i hope you reported the driver for bad behavior
did you report this to the police/ bus company? most modern buses have cctv and sound recording, they might even be able to hear him say it/lip read, also yeah oldham is rough, i went once on a tram to the town centre and just people looking unpredictable and rough everywhere
I'm not trying to start any shit but the drivers behaviour seems to be more as a response to the camera/you filming rather than your badges. I may be wrong but the fact that he was literally asking you why you were filming and responding in a rude way to your answer to that rather than saying something transphobic would strongly suggest so.
The camera was the third thing he commented on, and he wasn't just staring at me it was an intense and intimidating stare... Regardless of that, it's not okay to make someone uncomfortable, so let's not try to justify it??

I would suggest you drop the badges. Some people may feel uncomfortable; others may not be appreciative of having that information flaunted. It's your private business and I recommend it stays that way.
