Dimash said, in a recent Q&A, the D8 wasn't planned, it was spontaneous. He just did it on the fly! LOL This past week Dimash asked one of his composers to write a RnB song. It is coming!

I hadn't heard that about the D8 before, MaryE--thank you so much for letting us Dears know! And it's exciting news knowing yet ANOTHER genre's going to added under Dimash's belt. As for the new RnB song, I'm really looking forward to that--we may never know exactly how he will surprise us, but he somehow always does! ;D

But Dimash is way beyond technicality. His fans are not crazy about him because of his technical abilities. What attracts us to Dimash is the emotions you feel when he sings. He tells a story. He takes you on a journey. He speaks to your soul with his music and his voice

Yeah... and that's "soul" music too it comes from he's inner feelings. The "soul kind of music" refereed it's only a cultural thing from R&B US singers... witch is from the soul too, but in another country and civilization with other costumes, like the afro-american church singers... by the way another very good music school for some unforgettable stars in the US panel. But this, this is different. Nobody can perform, interpret the lyrics, sing, tell the story and deliver the song like Dimash in such tecnical high quality. He's the one man show at all levels. Proof of that is, there's a YT video with him singing "Your love" (a capella) without music at all (somebody edited like that to hear only his voice)... and it still give us the feelings, same emotions, and that quality all the way...

Thanks, Charlie, for this reaction. If someone doesn't like Dimash, I agree with you that they should just leave him alone. But there's a small group of people who seek out every Dimash reaction video just to leave dislikes and negative comments. I can't imagine wasting my time watching videos of singers I don't like just so I can leave bad comments about them. This D8 performance is legendary, and a must-see for anyone who adds Dimash as a channel regular. I'm glad you saw it, and I enjoyed watching it again with you.

He was headlining an outdoor festival in his own country Kazakhstan shortly after returning from the Singer in China. Over 100,000 people were lining the town to hear him (you can hear the ‘echo’ from all the speakers). This is his own song that he wrote in his late teens and he performs it differently every time. Yes, he always interacts with his fans (in this one during another song he even sees a fan about to fall from a fence & reaches out to help her) but as you can see he is really relaxed here so was able to spontaneously go for the D8 😂! Depends what resonates with you. I honestly don't understand the obsession with trying to make the point that someone is superior or 'better'. Music is totally subjective and if what you value is that soulfulness then this isn't going to be 'better' for you. There is no absolute truth when it comes to ranking artists. Unless you are talking about something specific like range. It just seems like a really ponntless a futile conversation to me

@TheCharlieSmithChannel
@TheCharlieSmithChannel 3 года назад
I think people are misunderstanding what I was saying. Dimash has a very theatrical and operatic voice and while he does of course sing totally from his soul, that isn't the traditional definition of 'soulful' so I know what people mean when they say he isn't that. There is a looseness to soulful singers that I haven't experienced in Dimash yet. By its very nature, operatic and theatrical singing styles are the opposite of 'soulful' (not meaning it isn't sung from the soul). I'm not saying I won't be proved wrong because I haven't listened to all of his work yet but that is my observation so far. I can see why people would make that observation. It's really not hating at all. I think people need to accept that no artist can be all things to all people because music is subjective. It just can't. So I find it confusing when people try to claim absolute truths about an artist when the experience of music is so subjective. It just seems like a futile and pointless excersise to me

No need to add any emoji otherwise your request will be not accounted. Dears from the East are voting 17 weeks, but for that part of planet it is very difficult time (middle of night or daybreak ) and many of Dears can't vote. Tvitter is not available in some of countries 😢. DIMASH holds #2 place because of lack of amount of voting fans. He deserves to be # 1, doesn't he?

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, against TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. I've read comments saying that Dimash does not show emotion; that is is just techique and no feeling; etc. and I shake my head wondering what they are [not] hearing what so many of us hear. Some of his songs are fun; some are soul--wrenching; some are romantic; some are toe-tapping. He has trained since age five and still trains for hours daily. I think people get confused with this distinction. Not being soulful in the west at least, doesn't mean not singing with emotion or from your soul. He has a very theatrical and operatic style of singing which is the polar opposite of the traditional definition of soulful (Aretha Franklin, Marc Broussard, Donny Hathaway). I think people are getting this twisted and think it means without feeling or heart and that's not the case

that's .... er.... i don't get it. when i'm using up half a box of kleenex from ugly-crying, how is it possible he "does not show emotion"? i wonder if the problem is that in the west, ppl need the emotions scripted and spoonfed to them. i'm a huge fan of bollywood movies, for example: the movie opens with parents anxiously awaiting the birth of their baby. the panicked rush to the hospital. the birth of the baby - everybody rejoices. the child starts walking. the child's first day of school. his first trip to the principal's office. the father goes to work. the mother cooks dinner and scolds the child for dirtying the home. the child starts dating. he meets a woman. he falls in love - and NOW the movie starts! hollywood version: guy is in a bar smoking. woman enters the bar. they see each other. he leers. she flirts. they body-dance. cut to the next scene when they've been married five years and have three kids. western ppl typically have problems with the subtle use of facial microexpression to make a point - they need everything drawn on in clown makeup.
@TheCharlieSmithChannel
@TheCharlieSmithChannel 3 года назад
@@threenorns3 thanks for your patronising comment. I'll make this very simple for you as you seem to need very simple explanations spoon fed to you. Music is subjective. We don't all have the same reactions to the same music. Why are you getting so bent out of shape about it. Did you come here for validation about your own feelings toward the music or to watch someone else's reaction? Honestly it's pathetic 'The West' has absolutely nothing to do with it. Don't be so ridiculous. We are quite capable of detecting and reacting to nuance. But, as you have failed to recognise, what everyone gets out of music when they hear it is different. It has absolutely zero to do with where you are from. I hope you get your feelings validated eventually 🙄

I will use the Google translator hoping for a good translation. In any case, I will also bring my text back to you in my mother tongue. I followed your reaction. You deserve me to explain to you who and what Dimash is. I will use the words I used for others who came into contact with Dimash and who, like you, deserved an explanation. I'm Italian. I've known the art of singing since I was born. Let's make the point right away: Dimash is not just good at this or that field, in this or that aspect, of singing. Dimash is the sound field. You sensed the totality that is Dimash, but not quite. Following the ontological thread even before the logical of technical analysis, it is not yet fully understood that here it is no longer just octaves, whistle register and even more than simple, immense, vocal technique. Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called a totipotent cell. In this sense it is a "stem voice". From this cell can be generated any type of tissue, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap et cetera...). It's all genders already. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloriture, an inflection, a declination, of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all his voice records. This also leads to the fact that he sings easily in several languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of its general sonority. Let me give you an example which is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not having devoted himself exclusively to the Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing. And this is perfectly consistent with its nature and value. Dimash is not only an operatic singer, neither just rock, nor just pop, nor anything specified and specific, simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "singing system" that is more than the sum of its own parts. She sings with her whole body. This fact does not only relates to technical considerations relating to the posture to be taken at different times and modes of singing. It is first and foremost that, as I said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I suppose sooner or later this should have happened in someone. It happened in this Kazakh boy. In summary: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself. That said, I salute you. E’ già tutti i generi.

Love your reactions to my YOUNG MAN. And it's ok to still be in shock & awe. I've been a DEAR for years & everytime he opens his mouth & starts telling a story it's as if this is the 1st time listening to Dimash. Doing a live performance makes it especially difficult to stay on key. Mainly bc fans are screaming, he kneels down to the fans, external noise period will throw a performer especially if the mic isn't acting as it should & walking up/down the stage can cause a least trained performer to drop a note causing them to sing off key. Dimash is the ultimate performer in the world. He's a beautiful beast & a perfectionist. This is why so many people connect to my YOUNG MAN. He's pure, raw talent. LOVINGLY SIGNED 💋 A PROUD 🇺🇸🦌

I think people are getting this twisted. In music, having soul and having A soul are different. Dimash doesn't have a soulful voice really. He has a theatrical/operatic voice. They're not saying he doesn't sing from his soul/isn't a nice person.

@@sushisin377 hi there. I just checked out Marigolds. It still isn't what we would traditionally call soulful. He is still singing in a very theatrical style. Again, as I say that doesn't mean he's not singing from his soul but it isn't being sung in the soulful style. Heart felt isn't the same as the soulful singing style. They are 2 different things. It's fine. It's not a criticism. No artist can be ALL things. It just isn't his style. That doesn't make him any less good. It just means there is something that he is not

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️ I think a few people are getting confused about what I said about soul. It's not that people are saying he doesn't put his soul into the music. It's that he isn't soulful in the traditional sense. Being a more operatic and theatrical singer it inherently isn't 'soulful' in the traditional sense. That isn't, however, the same as him not putting his soul into it and singing from his soul. There is a distinction

I understand what you are saying because I am a long time gospel music listener as well. Dimash brings something totally different. There is something totally mesmerizing and captivating about Dimash. Know from Kiev where he simply vocalizes is an example. He also did the song in New York where there were no lyrics, just his voice. Both performances different and unique and insanely beautiful and hypnotizing. There are times you have to tell yourself to breath. With gospel, real gospel, they can bring you to your knees to worship and that is what they are meant to do. Break Every Chain is a prime example.

Dimash wrote this in his teens. As for the d8, he does it only if he thinks it’s reachable. You notice in the video right before he’s preparing, then sings a little then he moves the mic back and forth with no sound, then he hits it. He’s amazing but won’t hurt his voice.

Dear Charlie thank you for nice reaction. I think that what is more imoressive that for Dimash high notes, range are not so important itself. It is clear when you watch interviews. For him these fireworks are only way or measure to send artistice expression, some message to listeners. He practice 3 hours per day with vocal teacher if it is only possible. He told in intervirw that for everyone your own voice sounds beutiful and you need external control. He follow Luciano Pavarotti in this way.
