You need to stop turning the. Steering wheel so much and remember small corrections, don’t pull forward so much, turn aircon on and try to stay calm and now get stressed or panic, also practice on your time off, try get into a rythm of preempting where your trailer needs to go and where you need to turn your steering wheel, also you use you’re brakes too much and run out of air a lot, just a couple of tips to learn

When I first started I was horrible. In school I would stall the truck all the time, grind gears, piss off instructors etc. Out on the road I was a menace lol. I couldn't back for shit, would always get lost, miss my exits, have trouble finding places, have trouble figuring out some of the bizarre check in processes at shipper and receivers etc. I wanted to quit so bad but I didn't have anything else to fall back on, when I first started trucking I didn't even have a place to live. After 6 months it got easier, after a year I enjoyed it. It takes time, if you are in school you are in the easy part it gets way harder on the road.

Look buddy I know you lack confidence right now but coming from a 2 million mile driver, it will be a lot easier to merge when you speed up to freeway speeds. Other trucks will move out of your way, that's the idea of merging, it's your job to match freeway speed. Also rumble strips will not ever blow your tires and save your points at Truck Stops you can use them later to buy truck items like CBS or things for truck.

Not a trucker about to get my CDL but when you are merging on a large vehicle people know they either move left ⬅️ or get ahead og you ⬆️ or star behind ⬇️. They know they can stop on a dime but you can't they also know subconsciously that they don't want to hit the rear of your truck because they can't win. Unless there is traffic backed up on the merging lane which will require you to slow down don't just gain your speed.
