Westerners look at their houses and think the place is a slum and they live in delapitated shacks, yet just 100 years ago, anywhere in the world those would be considered reasonable housing. Those are just fine to live in.
You are finding some remote areas now. It is eye opening that they marry there as early as 11 or 12 years old. But that is what they do, and we should have respect for their culture. That area is so beautiful. Malaybalay, not far from where you were in this video, is a very nice cool city. It is a clean agriculture class 1 municipality. I at least want to visit there on my Philippines journey to find home.
I believe that those girls got married at age 11 & 12 but also possible they were 14 & 15 because a lot in that village are not educated & don't know how to add years ?
I've met many girls in Asia that are young teens and act mature. I've also met many woman in the west in their 20's and 30's that act like a spoiled preteen. Culture is different everywhere.
I think your videos would be that much more interesting if you routinely were to show a map/schematic of whatever island you're filming on - just the general area without necessarily being specific. There are over 7000 islands in the PI, and I think it'd be interesting to get at least a rough idea of where in the PI such people as you film abide. My own first question always is WHERE is this place?

@@afam813 Dude what is the situation with dangerous wildlife like there? When I looked into it pretty much every dangerous snake, spider and crocodile was most common in Mindanao, but it feels like nobody even talks about it so I wonder how common they really are.
In Philippines only 20% of the people finished high school. For younger people it may be a bit higher. In a poor province area like this it's probably much lower. They maybe only go to grade 8.
in Islam is keep women as dum as they can to control them , dummer a person easy to control. most men want women never to finish school. . old days in the cathodic church's did same to the poor ppl easy to control them.
i love the looks of this community,i hope one day to relocate to the phillipines and settle into such a community and hopefully integrate into the society. i will need one of those handheld language translators tho-lol. i prefer isolated country life,not the hustle and bustle of concrete city life. is their electricity in such isolated areas as this? looks like a real jungle out there.is their a need to worry bout wild animals as well? this is a place in mindao?

@@afam813 Careful with the saltwater crocodiles! I heard they are loose in the southern areas, not in Puerto Princesa, El Nido, and those areas. Scary stuff at the resorts and shorelines.

What does it mean for a girl to get married at the age of 11? I mean, how does it affect her life. Does she continue to live with here parents or move in with husband. And I guess boys are not married away at the age of 11 right..??
