This comment is evidence why people like live streaming. Even if for the gigantic streamers, viewers gamble at the chance at being seen. RU-vidrs need to interact more. As creators get bigger, they just write the comments off as the toxic zone, which is ironically toxic for the viewers putting effort into making a constructive comment.

It's endearing to see the supportive comments. Such a positive community I've noticed. I'm hanging in there, luckily I have a lot of people who want to see me do well. Going through some difficult therapy work, combined with trying to make sober life easier to handle, step by step. There's a lot of ups and downs, but I'm trying to keep my eye on the prize for sure🙏🏻💪🏻

Congrats on the success! You were committed, which is what most people lack. Then you had to find your angle and roll with it. I think finding your angle can be harder if you're trying too hard to find one that will be popular. Sometimes you're just in the right headspace and you make something that you really like, and the audience feels how you feel about it, then it clicks. It's interesting that you had a breakthrough after you had given up **BUT still made another video**. You weren't trying to be successful at that point, you just made something because you wanted to, and THAT's the one that took off. It's always good to play around and try new things for fun alongside your usual content for that reason. Sometimes the new stuff is where the magic happens.

I appreciate your honesty. Getting past the monetization hurdle, feels like an eternity. There are many days I feel like quitting. Setting small goals and succeeding at the small goals has been a strategy I have used to stay motivated. Thanks for not quitting.
I just like how your original and not trying to copy everyone. In this day and age it's very hard to find a niche on RU-vid that others haven't already exploited. You also clearly care about your fans considering how active you are to responding them in the comments. Cutting out alcohol definitely helps with killing depression. I never made it to the point where it was causing a problem in my life thankfully. But if you’re drinking too much and often, that has to be awful. I can’t imagine waking up consistently with a hangover. I keep it to two-three drinks a few times a month maybe. Usually just holidays/special occasions kind of things. Definitely if Im going to be around friends that are drinking. Being sober around drunk people is not enjoyable at all.

i been on here for 13 years :/ i just doing iwas abused in school my teacher cracked my head open i adhd add and other issues you tube helped me talk again i been threw hell how i am alive is beyond me all i want to do is help others and kids thoe and i do it on my own with zero help

As a RU-vid "consumer" it sucks that algorithms don't push/help the small/medium channels grow. You're great man, you don't come across as fake or scripted like a lot of the big youtubers (including mr beast, not a fan) personally I don't care about the trends or what game EVERYONE is playing, I care that you entertain me, and you sir ARE a great entertainer

I appreciate you putting this out. I been on RU-vid maybe 5 years now but never really thought of my self as a youtuber. My journey looks a lot like this. I am very inconsistent, have months in between my videos, no direction, bad video ideas, bad thumbnails, but have somehow put together a decent amount of experience. This is a bit of inspiration for me to just keep pushing and maybe I will figure out my niche some day.

I feel this in my core, but for landing a job as a developer. Been programming as a hobby my entire life, went back to school while raising 4 boys to get my degree in Computer Science, built small utilities, bots, web3 projects, etc, but can't seem to get interviews or recruiters to even look at my resume. But I keep grinding because I am constantly pushing for that "breakthrough" you mention in the end here. I just say stuff nobody dares to say, just for the cringe of it, and it's such a relief, like a burden off my shoulders. yes! i love building pcs. im on my 4th build now. my biggest advice is go quality on the PSU also make sure you go AT LEAST 1000W even if you only need 700W. that way when you upgrade your gpu eventually you don't also have to upgrade your psu again, being that gpu's are quickly becoming power hungry .... dont get too fancy with the RAM in terms of speed. just get a reliable well known brand like corsair. you'll find a lot of faster ram on amazon from companies you've never heard of and trust me they will just cause all sorts of problems that you'll have to troubleshoot. i could go on but yeah you get it...
I think you could pull off some sort of podcast/show like the H3 show. You are funny, witty, creative and super down to earth genuine human being. In another universe I see you and Ethan collaborating in some type of variety show. ✌️+❤
