I switched to a Cobra last season and absolutely love it. It took me no time to find my sweet spot of comfort and it really eliminated hip pinch because of its taller profile and adjustability. And Jerry’s a great guy to deal with to boot.
I just purchased one last month. I’ve been running a cruzr xc and the archon dual panel. Both are excellent saddles and I have no complaints about either one. But after sitting in this cobra and making some adjustments to suit my style I find that the cobra is better for me then both cruzr options especially when climbing srt. Jerry did a phenomenal job designing this saddle so kudos to him.
I am leaning towards a CGM Cobra for my first saddle purchase this year. I am torn on the waist belt though. Rope belt with sliding knot. Webbing belt with D ring buckle. Upgrade to a Raptor buckle. Upgrade to a Cobra buckle with D ring like a riggers belt for a secondary safety option… Any guidance or suggestion is appreciated. Thanks
That's going to be personal preference. The rope belt is silent and light weight The webbing belt and buckle is easier to adjust but can make noise if you're not careful. You can also open the belt to step through. The raptor buckle comes with the same advantages as the buckle, but is even easier to use, however it is heavier. I don't own any cobra buckle with D ring so I couldn't really speak to that. I own all the other options and use them all from time to time. It is really hard for me to pick a favorite.
@@TheBudgetSportsman thank you! I ended up ordering my CGM Cobra this weekend because of this video! Was between that and the Cruzer XC and this sold me
I’m out of town for a while and don’t have the saddle in front of my. If your plan to order from CGM, just reach out to Jerry and tell him your waist size and he can tell you what will work best for you.
