All women should behave a certain way, that is not patriarchy that is just being a member of a community.

You talk about how your old views (of how black women should behave) were rooted in patriarchy, but don’t give specific examples. I think this video would be more interesting if you gave specific examples contrasting the old way of thinking versus the new.

Being a W.A.S.P. has meant that like 95% of my journey has been finding out beliefs or concepts I maintained were rooted in white supremacy. I have been attached to the Malcom X school of thought that white Americans should be the ones to “fix” white American culture. The tough question for me is how do I get my fellow white Americans to see what I’ve seen. That’s why I started watching your channel partly to see if there are any struggles you have that may be mitigated by someone who looks like them explaining similar ideas. I am learning to work alongside the Black American community toward the same goal using my individual strengths. Thank you for your content!

Where are the wedding videos, i thought you were engaged. Engagements over a year is questionable, and should be looked at in a different way. Asking for a friend.

”Respectability Politics” is an interesting area where I’ve found people that subscribe to the idea of being critical of it and through that lens would like call out people, for say, criticizing Beyonce or Niki Minaj for overtly sexual performances/public displays of the not so distant past claiming that the people criticizing were essentially limited by their respectability politics. Then that same person that was supposed to eschew ”Respectability Politics” would attempt to later shame the provocative behavior of the music artist Lizzo for essentially doing the same thing Niki and Beyonce were doing before revealing a slightly different kind of internalized bias. I guess I’m kind of wondering what your thoughts on something like that may be given the new perspective you’ve acquired?

Man it takes some integrity to take down old videos that no no longer align with who you are and/or may be problematic.

Good Evening My Sister 🌹Janice🌹 I enjoyed your intellectual prowess on the subject matter . You are well spoken, honest and interesting to listen to. You are one of the several rare gems that I have found on these RU-vid streets that have something positive to speak about. So, I say thank you for your time and effort in putting together this video. And if God grants me more days, I will look forward to more of any upcoming videos you present to the Black community.. Bye, Take Care🙋🏽‍♂️
