Drinking used to be my crutch, helping me hold things together. When I would try sobriety I felt miserable, anxious, and depressed. I couldn’t understand why anyone would choose to live that way. Or how they did. Then, I realized that my happiness or contentment was within my control. In my three years of sobriety, I’ve made significant changes that have helped me fall in love with life.
I cut out toxic relationships, stayed on top of my medication, prioritized hydration and healthy eating, journaled my prayers and blessings, prioritized a little exercise, and put God first in my life. I set goals, honored my commitments, worked on healing my nervous system, gave back to others, and developed coping mechanisms like meditation to address trauma and build confidence. I chased after my dreams and started becoming proud of who I am!
It all started with a pen, paper, and my God. I recommend jotting down your aspirations, the places you want to visit, and the person you aspire to become. Start small, and I promise it will transform your life! Also, consider joining my supportive women’s community. Support is crucial! Click the link in my bio or message me to connect!
