@@Aviatora yes dummy even in prison you have jobs . so even if his father was a criminal he still could have worked in prison making your comment wich was lame to begin with totally useless
Honestly though clear plastic (or colored translucent plastic) for electronics is a vibe I kinda wish wasn't left in the 90s and early 2000s. Being able to see the insides of your electronics was cool as hell imo
honestly prison tech is pretty interesting they were keeping cassette tapes alive for a while up until recently they could buy cassettes and players that were clear like the tv I think they moved onto CDs recently though.
They just gave us tablets where we could buy movies and music, but they didn't have speakers. And headphones were incredibly hard to get. I was only I. For 9 days, so I never got into it. Watched alot of CSI Vegas on the pod TV though.
Frankly, it's a moot point as the speakers were not even mounted inside. They were just flopping around in there. That's bad no matter which way you orient the box.
Spent time in prison in the late 90s/early 2000s, the walkmans were all like that, clear plastic, headphones were the same. Back then though they still had crt tvs and they weren't clear, guess they have decided to move on to the world of LCD.
Every time Kinsey produces a Mystery Tech in place of Jared, I get concerned because I still want her on This Is to be constantly trolling and upsetting Austin and Matt
About the ferro fluid speaker, the original designer and maker is BurnSlap and his product is bent taken and ripped off sadly. Please if you have time go look at his work.
That TV is totally rad man! Like, totally takes me back to the late 80's, early 90's when they made the clear corded phones! *cough* *sputter* Sorry...we now return you to your regularly scheduled brain function.
If you want a really small screen, I think you’d be better off buying a portable monitor. I got one a few months ago to use with my Steam Deck that has a better display for roughly the same price as the prison TV.
The prison tv is good for prison and some models come with speakers and some not….and free cable but you gotta buy the cords and splitter if you want to watch with somebody during lights out time
I'm connected to a tech recycling company. They just got a shipment in from local prisons/jails with stacks of clear crts and the same tv from the video. A lot of really old 10/100 swtitches too.
I'll stick with the wonderful Sennheiser Momentum 4 that is on my head. It's wireless connected to my pc and phone. They're light weight, so soft on the ears, sound good, and last for 60 hours before charging. Next to me are my beloved Sennheiser HD6XX and a vacuum tube dac/amp plugged into my pc.
I'd gladly enjoy that tv in prison lmao. I doubt they get an HDMI connection but that picture looked like many days in my cell enjoying Young and The Restless 😂😂
I recently got a "clear tech" 13" tv. Same thims just different brand and smaller. It has one HDMI, one composite. a headphone jack.(most phones don't even have those) and one USB port, diy rgb is super easy to put inside this tv. It's full1080p 60hz. And since it's made for prisons, the speakers are stupid loud. and the screen has the brightness of a police car driving behind you in the middle of the night.
Try listening to a device with only HiFi quality for a couple weeks and then go back. I couldn't hear much of a difference when I went to a higher quality headphone but when I tried my old ones the difference was absolutely wild. Big shoutout to Sony for making LDAC.
UPDATE: Seconds after typing this they explained it lol These are made for prisons. All electronics MUST BE see-through completely. They sell them elsewhere of course. But they're mass-produced for jails and prisons. 15" is KING SHIT in prison too. Most inmates can barely afford to have 11" and 13".
He thought they still have CRTs, we all wish someone would still produce them, but LCD is a lot cheaper now. Also a CRT has high voltage, which is too dangerous, like swapping a glued battery from your phone 🤦♂
Austin , apple music is preferred over spotify because the bitrate and encoding is lossless on apple music...i switched to apple music from spotify 2 years ago and am never going back

Ken looks so much like an asian Samuel L. Jackson... I just noticed... but I love him!
Anytime he talks about headphones I’m like bruh I’m just a normal person and just take out some buds lol I’m not a big audio person when it comes to music listening
There is a GIGANTIC issue with that Gary snail at the drums clip... GARY DOES NOT HAVE HANDS OR FEET!!!! Gary IS the foot. Gary has NO LIMBS other than the eye stalks!! How is GARY holding the drumstick???? you need ADDITIONAL feet to operate the KICK drum part!! That clip makes ZERO mother EFFING sense!!!!!!!!
I bet that tv is at least $300 in prison. The private prison system LOVES to gouge the absolute shit out of people that are FORCED to buy from them and them only.... then again thats only about 3 days worth of staying in jail. Yes they charge (at least in my county) around $90/PER DAY to be in jail.... not kidding. The american prison system is beyond fucked up in sooooo many ways.
NO DISRESPECT, but why you keep saying "I wasted money on mystery tech" .... I thought that's what you HAVE TO DO in order to keep making your videos. Again, no disrespect but I truly don't get why you keep saying that on all your videos.
Hi I need help with my pc, recently, I got a new cpu and motherboard and did the bios update for my motherboard. After that my pc would not put a signal if I had a gpu plugged in, so my pc would signal if I had integrated graphics by itself. I tested 2 gpu’s and it still wouldn’t put off a signal, does anybody know why the integrated graphics only work for my pc?
If that transparent TV costs ~$125 on Amazon, then in the US Prison system sells them for like $1100. You can’t have a monopoly in the United States unless it’s the United States imposing the monopoly!
Love Austin, love Matt, love all the people...except for Ken. Let him try to make his own channel again and laugh at his failures...again...stop being Ken's prop, Austin!
I have a much smaller ferrofluid display that isn't a speaker, but instead has a microphone and reacts to whatever it picks up, like your voice or music you're playing on you decent speaker. It was like $100, so I think it's better than the one they showed.
