The directors wanted to save money so they did not take much from the season of super sentai that was adapted look it up your self and well the attachment to dinosaurs because mmpr Billy and the (hot) former villan heckly from Dino charge and the cast of Dino fury well most of the actors wanted dinosaurs so why not
The biggest shame of all this is that the Dino Fury zords that proceeded this disaster were just simply incredible. If they had released the cosmic raptors and pacha zords, it would have been perfect. Also, say what you will about the BoA era of zords, but at least their megazords only ran you 35-40 bucks.
I enjoyed the show as it was in Japan, but I made fun of it as being Super Sentai Lego, and I'm not surprised it's the same in America, "Power Rangers Lego"
Okay I have some seriously important questions that needs to be asked: WTF did Hasbro do to KyurenOh, and more importantly, what did KyurenOh do to deserve this horrible bastardization?!
I'm hoping they do the rest of the zords for kyuranger instead of skiping zords like beast morphers and dino fury. And baltmatrix, the reason the swordfish voyager from kyuranger is now a shark zord in the USA because hasbro think sharks are more cooler than swordfish with kids. Even though the swordfish zord from power rangers samurai wasn't changed into a shark when bandai were still making power rangers toys back in 2011.
i wish they would just use the Japanese mold, but they stopped doing that back with Operation Overdrive...and it was blaringly obvious. I mean, the combining zords from different series does make it more fun when they started that later. Too bad they completely changed the combination ports with Dino Fury. But the SWORD FISH/SHARK...i do not think ANY child is going to want this MORE based on the name change...but then LATER when they make the "Shark Cycle" it will sound better than the "Swordfish Cycle" motorcycle sets.
@@Scotty-Z70 Part of the Idea with that was that there was cross-compatibility with ports from Timeranger/Time Force through Dekaranger/SPD with the japanese molds which fans really liked (we're hoping that such will be something done with Shokugan Modeling project releases in the future, as while they did Gaoranger they've not done any of the cross-series compatible mecha yet), so Bandai America with the US molds would retain the compatibility THEIR way with zord builder-style mechs...and then they didn't do it or did it in ways people really didn't like. Zord Link in the way hasbro is now trying to do it just...does not work. In adding a new gimmick to it they've irreparably compromised the Gimmick that WAS there. And Kyurenoh's combination scheme to begin with when Bandai designed it in 2017 WAS trying to mimic Hasbro/Takara's Success with the Combiner Wars/Unite warriors toyline and the return of 'Scramble city'-styled combiners in 2015/2016.
@@kboy1158Agree to disagree, it doesn't make sense to me because it has legs instead of fins. I can understand that it doesn't look like a T-Rex, but considering that a T-Rex has a posture that doesn't resemble anything alive today, I can also see why the ancient Japanese portrayed it four-legged.
@@Maffo2133Probably because Hasbro is in massive issues right now: D&D's failures, the movie bombing, problems with Wizards of the Coast, and Transformers doing barely OK. I think Transformers is the only success right now. But since years, and in the beginning of Dino Fury, you see the drop of quality: the Dino Fury Megazord has issues with its ports, they've been broken so easily, figures sold separately, and then releasing the only half of the line, to latter releasing the five Rangers in a whole pack. Now, the cancellation of the Lightning collection line. Hasbro has to sold his movie/TV division because of failures. Hasbro is in trouble.
I mean, I appreciate that they tried adding different features and modes, and that they can combine with its prequel series. Doesn't mean I'm gonna buy it.
I was so hyped when Cosmic Fury confirmed they would import Kyuranger. Me being me, I'd already snatched up all but the massive carrier zord, but I was really looking forward to seeing how it would do. This is just...sad. Siiiigh. I was even a smidgen hyped by the idea of the zord port options, but they just dropped the ball everywhere on this redesign.
Same, when they announced the show I wasn't a big fan on how they made red the "Zenith Ranger". If I were them I would have introduce the yellow ranger instead and left everything the way it was, in Kyuranger you were able to attach pink to the back of the megazord, they should have just stuck with that instead of messing with things. Knowing them they probably introduced the Zenith Ranger to remain "Fresh" and new
@@matthewsimmons9277 These look like cheap Chinese knockoffs that you would find on sites like Wish and Temu. I found a full set of the Bandai Japanese import zord toys on eBay for $75. As a collector, I am tempted to go order those instead.
It's wild to hear people argue that PR is for kids and it's meant to sell toys, but then you look at the toys. What kid would have that kind of money lying around to buy something at that price and to have it be that cheaply made? $73 plus tax seems like an item a person with extra income would pick up. If Hasbro wants to keep holding the license they need to step up their game or lower their prices.
My advice to the fans is the same as Balts. Just get the Kyuranger Zords. Trust me you’ll be much better off for it. They have electronics and they’re not that much more expensive than the CF ones.
@@pessie83 Oh, it started long before. While the American releases of the Japanese molds often had worse paint, starting with Operation Overdrive they started making their own in-house molds that were dumbed down and cheaped out on. The advantage back then, at least, was a lower price point, but now the cheap stuff costs as much as the Japanese molds used to, so what's the point?
I mean, they got away with it in Beast Morphers by having it be a different type of beetle than that it ACTUALLY is but here? No one is gonna look at that zord and think it's a shark when it's clearly a swordfish.
The Dino Fury zords were a little ugly, but excellent toys with great playability. My son LOVES them. These Cosmic Fury/Kyuranger zords look like absolute guff in every sense.
As someone who has collected all the Kyuranger voyagers (except Cerberus), I will say that the bull and wolf ones are the same way when connecting them as arms (you can’t even turn the Kyutama around). You’d have to just twist the heads to the side to make the hands. That being said, the American version still isn’t worth it unless it’s like $20 or so.
If Simon "Pooki" Bennett had a RU-vid account, I bet he'd be in his feelings about how you criticized this toy & didn't just worship the ground it stood upon.
I was interested in the fact they made them compatible with the previous Dino Fury zords, but the fact they basically just gave all the zords 2 connections is so disappointing. Like idk care if they need to keep it accurate to the footage, kids and collectors won't care when they get the toy, they'll just be happy to connect Cosmic and Dino Fury zords cause it's cool
I mean, thhe main zord is a... decent translation of the source mateeial. It does rhe kyutama swapping (not that it achieves as much) and can swap the limbs, which is what i loved about og kyurenoh. But all that extra junk, the sled and the sword and rhe fists recycled form the previous zord system? It just jacks the price up unnecessarily.
Really sad how the toys have become. My last full investment into a Ranger Zord line was way back in Dino Charge and I even made the extra effort to add paint to them to make them more screen accurate. After that, I kinda dropped off. Dino Fury comes close iirc because I have every Zord that was available but I enjoyed those toys less than Dino Charge
@@FSKyurem I don’t think I ever invested into a megazord when it was available at stores. it’s funny that when I was a kid I didn’t have the money to buy all these amazing megazords that were being released at the time. Now that I’m working and have money, I don’t want the megazords that are currently available. I was able to pick up the components to make the hurricane megazord as well as the SPD megazord with the motorcycle on marketplace. Hopefully power rangers follows the same trend as transformers and brings back the older megazords with new engineering and make them better
@@AnhDonoi Nothing was the same since losing Toys R Us, which was where I got all my Dino Charge Zords from (got them on discount as well because I worked there)
@@FSKyurem omg don’t bring up Toys R Us. I always had every 90s kids dream of doing toys r us shopping spree. I thought that was the top thing you could experience as a kid. Still remember going to my local TRU once a month and just spend 30 minutes shopping and lounging around
actually the kyurangers had 2 spaceships orion battler ... and just the orion... the latter of which unfortunately appears to have been sentient and well sacrificed itself for the rangers one episode
I'm probably gonna pick this up at the 55 buck price as it'll be more worth it for me. I never picked up ANY KyuRanger mecha because I just didn't like the show & apart from 2 morphers I got from the show because they looked cool as hell/RyuCommander's morpher & the Dark SeizaBlaster, I never even really collected the gimmick either. Even if we get more of the Zords from the show, I'm probably gonna go for those rather than the KyuRanger versions.
WTH! Can't find any Comic Fury toys. I heard the reason they didn't release toys for this season because after Cosmic Fury it ends the continuity line from MMPR series and they plan to reboot the entire franchise. Is this true? Anyone know if Power Rangers is ending? As a kid I watched MMPR in the 90s and Cosmic Fury actually got me back into the show at 41 years old. Now seems like Power Rangers is making new changes. Anyone have info on this???
TBH, I now only buy morpher and megazords from the Super Sentai counterparts of these Power Ranger seasons (in this case Kyuranger). They're bigger, more detailed, and made better quality.
Another gimmick removed: the Kyutama that swivel to reveal the beast symbols are replaced my matt colours.... Apart from that, it's way too much of a brick and lacks detail.
I feel bad for you man, having that set knowing you paid $70 for it is almost as terrible as that one time Armada Prime set your house on fire. Highly recommend Qyuranno
i remember ryusoulger gattai 5-knights being cheaper than getting all 5 dino fury zords. i get the feeling that getting all 9 dx voyagers will be cheaper than getting the cosmic fury zords....or at least cheap enough to make getting the US version not worth it
So sad. Why on Earth would anyone buy a Super Sentai toy re-manufactured for the North American market? As far back as the Zyuranger and Dairanger toys, the North American releases were inferior and 'dumbed down' - electronics were omitted; mecha were molded in odd colors to correspond with the color scheme of the US actors; even though the same molds were used, inferior plastics were used; certain parts were omitted all together; and the more elaborate stickers were replaced with that ridiculous lightning bolt motif. In 1996 collecting imported Japanese toys was still very niche. I was in a toy store on Geary Street in San Francisco and it had recently been raided by law enforcement sent in by Saban to confiscate any Super Sentai related toys not specifically manufactured for the North American market. Apparently part of the licensing agreement stipulated that the original Japan-released toys could not be sold in the US. There used to be a lot of these specialty stores in SF, other parts of CA, and in other major US cities. Now, fortunately, we have Hobby Link Japan and CD Japan 🙂
id return that bad boy to amazon. Glad I didnt get it back in july. I was like the original og zords were bigger and way better lol. The mode u put it in at end was better than what box suggested too,.
It may be because the Cosmic Fury Balls aren't translucent like the Kyuutamas, but this just looks washed/faded out compared to the Kyuuranger original.
I feel like these toys are a bit rush interms of color and mechanism... that's just....i don't know it doesn't have the touch as it's predecessors do...
so, we got 5 of the voyagers, and 6 of the kyutama, I can understand not getting Orion and phoenix, those 2 are just nonsense, but they had Aquila, ursa, scorpio, draco, hebiscy and tenbin in the show, they could have release dfraco with ursa and scorpio cause those are its normal limbs and then release tenbin, hebiscy and Aquila as a 3 pack, then we could have atleast had the big combo
From what I know/can infer; the Cosmic Fury line is a continuation to Dino Fury as with shown with costumes and the pieces given, it’s a massive downgrade tho in quality as even tho the Dino Fury zords weren’t that great quality either they tried to make up for it in terms of being able to pose, given new forms that Ryusoulger zords didn’t have, and they had a neat change with their designs being more feral. the new Cosmic Fury zord has none of that
Pretty much. For how much they're asking you could just pay $85 and get Kyuren-Oh which has minis of the rangers and lights and sounds. Plus since we don't know if they'll do the other orbs and robots from Kyuranger you can just get the core five and see where you want to go from there if you want to get the Kyuren Changer or Purple Dragon, etc. If you REALLY want this and you don't want Kyuren-Oh, wait for a HEAVY discount cause what we have here is what you would pay $30 for when Bandai still had the license.
This hasnt been announced by hasbro as they are taking a hiatus on the power rangers toyline as a whole for 2024. since the lightning collection isnt doing well, they say fuck it and just cancel the entire line.
